About: Hi! My name is Kat, but I get it if that’s a dirty word in your house. I’ve been lucky to grow up with dogs of all levels; Huskies, Mastiffs, Pugs, etc. I started watching friends, family, and neighbors pets in 2019 and in 2021 I rescued my beautiful Cane Corso! I love all animals and can be trusted to treat your fur-baby with the upmost care and attention. I’m very active so I’m happy to play/hike/walk all day, I’ve even roller-skated with a pup. As I mentioned, I have a rescued giant breed. With her being a tougher rescue she has taught me how to handle almost any situation. She is reactive on walks so I’ve done training to continue to get her exercise with as much ease as possible. That being said, I can handle most dogs at all levels, no matter the size. Currently, I work 3 evenings a week with open daytime availability. I can drop in or take your pup for a walk anytime during the day and most evenings. I exercise often and go on lots of walks through the day, so if you have a high energy dog it’s no challenge for me. I wait a bit between exercise and feeding but I will prepare the food exactly how you and your pup prefer. I’m comfortable with crating and have done crate training.

About: I’ve been in the general field of caretaking for about 6 to 7 years. I was a full time nanny to a family of 7 children and 3 dogs for a few years before I married, and before that, I had multiple families for whom I watched their little ones, including the family dog/dogs. I also did some exclusive pet sitting apart from my previously mentioned work experience. I managed both kids and pets at once. I’ve gotten to know a variety of dog breeds. Growing up, we always had dogs. We’ve had a labradoodle, a few small mixed breeds, and a bernedoodle. Our bernedoodle, Rocco, I trained myself. He is the gentlest dog I’ve ever met and so smart. I taught fun tricks but also some useful ones like how to ring bells to indicate he needed to potty. I have loved being around dogs and having them in my life. We don’t currently have a dog since my two kids are young, so we can’t afford our own pup right now, although we certainly will get one in the future. That’s why I’m so excited to be able to provide other people’s dogs a warm and welcoming home away from home where they will be loved on and feel at ease. I’m a full time stay at home mom, so I’m almost always home. Apart from grocery shopping, minor errands, church on Sundays, or the rare trip to families, we are home all the time. Dogs that stay with us will have pretty much constant companionship and attention. We will be available for drop offs everyday except most of Sunday. Sunday evenings will be open though. Dogs that love a family environment will thrive here. We are usually up for the day around 7:00 am. My son loves dogs and will happily have a full conversation with them. He has grown up around many dogs because my mom has dogs and is a seasoned rover sitter herself. My husband works in the evenings so dogs will probably stay up and hang out with me as we unwind. We have a fenced in backyard so I can sit on our deck and let the dogs run, play, and potty easily and frequently. When there is another pup in our home we do keep them separate while no one is home for safety and comfort for all. When home they can all run and play as much as they want! Lots of toys and outdoor time! Supervised meal times as well!

I communicate clearly and promptly with pet parents, provide updates with photos, and follow all care instructions to the letter. I always clean up after pets, properly dispose of waste, and reuse supplies when safe and appropriate. “If you're ever looking for a place for your fur kids to stay while you go out of town, I highly recommend Laura. I have 2 neurotic cats; 1 has CH that does not like getting confined in crates/small place and the other is spicy/moody. The stay was short with a (somewhat) unusual request, but Laura took them all in stride and went the extra mile to look after Sam and Cloud. Definitely one of my best rover experience and would not hesitate to ask her again in the future.”
