“Jessica and Theodore took amazing care of our dogs while we were away, and our dogs had a great time! We loved getting daily picture updates of them while we were gone. About: What sets us apart is that dogs aren’t just pets in our home—they’re family. We’ve been caring for dogs together since 2013, and our animals live fully alongside us in everyday life, from couch snuggles to family adventures. Our dogs are regularly vetted, deeply loved, and yes—often spoiled. In addition to long-term pet care, we’re proud foster parents with The Road Home Animal Project and have lovingly fostered over 22 dogs (and counting), each with unique personalities and needs. This experience has made us patient, adaptable, and confident caring for dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds. Your pup won’t just be watched—they’ll be welcomed into a calm, happy home with a whole family devoted to their comfort and care. Pet care is woven into our daily life. My husband works remotely five days a week, I work part-time, and evenings and weekends are open—perfect for one-on-one attention, extra spoiling, and playtime with our dogs who love having new friends. We care for pets like family, offering fenced yard play, neighborhood walks, and crate options when needed. Our friendly, sometimes vocal dogs enjoy playmates, and pets are fully included in our home with supervision, comfy furniture, and attentive care.

“Mikaela is the absolute best!! We had a super fun and friendly meet and greet and I knew my Aussie, Nick would have a fab time. He loved her other 2 dogs and was treated like he was right at home! Mikaela was lovely to communicate with; super clear with details and sent me lots of adorable photos while I was away. Thank you Mikaela, Abby & Cecil for taking great care of my best buddy!! <3”

“I am so happy to find Lisa for my little dog. My ‘baby’ is old and needs medication. I knew she was safe and comfortable with Lisa. She stayed with Lisa for a week - the longest she has ever been with a ‘stranger’, and the daily photos assured me she was having fun.”

“Monica is absolutely wonderful. She sent daily updates with pictures showing that our dog, who can be a little anxious, was totally at ease in her home. She is responsible, proactive, and caring, and we felt reassured that our little guy was safe and comfortable while we were on vacation. This was our second stay with Monica and we 100% recommend her to all dog parents!”

They were so gracious and understanding, their farm is absolutely beautiful, and they took great care of our pups, we were a mess dropping them off, we were 15 minutes late because we forgot one of our dog's beds, we also forgot one of their food containers, AND their bowls. Bailey has stayed here several times now and I love getting pictures and videos and updates every day. Her son is precious and loves Bailey and takes such great care of her too. She gets plenty of play time with her son as well as her adorable dogs who are loving and gentle. Maria is exceptional and I’m so thankful for her and will definitely have Bailey there again when the next need arises.”

“Kristen came in clutch! We made a last-minute decision to extend our vacation and booked an Airbnb in the small town of Cadiz where sitter selection was sparse. Kristen responded to my request immediately and was willing to drive 30 minutes after work to take care of Bogey. The visit was flawless, she followed directions perfectly, and we returned to a happy dog. His bully looks were no issue for her either. I also appreciated the pics she sent. We felt comfortable leaving his care in her hands and would do so again. Maybe with more than 7 hours notice next time ?”

My energetic puppy came home tired after a long day of playing. She sent me photos throughout the day. We will certainly be booking again.”

About: I’ve been helping friends and family take care of their animals while they are away since I was a kid. I love babysitting furry friends. I work certain days of the week at another job really early in the mourning and home by 1130 am. I’m a very quiet shy person but I love animals. I work certain days early in the mourning and I’m home by 11:30 a.m. I need a 4 day in advance booking. I love animals so I wanted a job to where I can work them. I spoil every animal I come across. Everyone will be fed. I have treats, toys, leashes, a special dog monitor for if I do have an overnight on a day I have to work. I do have an extra crate if you feel your dog needs crated. If your animal requires special treatment such as medication I will need something written out for that such as name of medication time taken etc. I care for every animal as if they were my own. Their health and safety is my main priority at all times.
About: A couple of months after we married my husband adopted our first dog, Sandy, and I’ve been hooked ever since. That was 26 years ago. Both of my sons are adults now so I have free time to focus my attention on your baby. Your baby will have my undivided attention. My property is fenced and I will accompany your baby outdoors. We can play fetch or simply keep each other company. I will do what it takes to make your baby comfortable and happy.
“We tried Rover for the first time and are so glad we found Michael! Milo absolutely loved his time, and we felt so at ease knowing he was in good hands. The videos throughout the day were such a nice touch. Overall, a wonderful experience—thank you, Michael!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats most my life and have cared for many friend’s and neighbor’s pets. I love dogs, cats, and even bunnies and will care for yours like they were my own. I have plenty of experience teaching my dogs tricks and good behavior along with giving them medicine and treatment when needed. I currently work part time and am a part time online grad student working on my masters degree from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On my days home I’d love a break to care for your pet or enjoy a nice walk together! I currently have no pets of my own and can come by to care for your pet whenever you may need. I work well with all pets big, small, young, and old as long as they are non-aggressive.
“Would highly recommend! When I realized a big chain daycare place wasn't the right fit for my dog, I turned to Rover to try and find a solution. Raleigh and his dog have been absolutely wonderful for my dog Rascal. He's knowledgeable about dog behavior and keeps play appropriate and fun for the dogs. From the meet and greet to the initial visit, he's been kind and listened to my concerns and works with me and my hectic schedule. This has been a great experience and I am hopeful that more people are willing to work with reactive dogs!”

I will just need to know if your dog is food possessive so I can make sure they eat separately from my dog. Unfortunately I can’t leave your dogs food down throughout the day because my dog will eat it.

We've moved too far away now, but she was so great to help us with last minute doggy daycare when we had a day of house showings before our move. We will miss her. About: I am back from home after graduating with a Masters this summer, so I am excited to come home and go back to dog sitting, what I’ve done since I was in high school! My dog Sammy is always so excited when we go home because she gets to meet new pup friends, and we both love having more dogs around to play with. Sammy is just about the nicest dog you'll ever meet. I've had dogs my whole life, and I love taking care of all animals, rowdy or calm! We have a huge yard (and a very tall fence, so no need to worry if anybody can jump over it!) that we can run in all day, and when we're all tired, we lounge on the couch and relax. Sammy and I take daily walks, and sometimes walk twice a day, which your animal can join in on as well. I take care of pets like they're my own, I just love them so much! My house will be like a home away from home for your pet. I am home working on writing and grading all day for my winter break so I am home the entire day to care for your pup. I will play or snuggle with the pets based on their energy and preferences! They will get treats as often as you tell me to give them (I know some pups are on a diet so I will wait for you to say if it’s okay to give any treats). They will go outside as often as they need and spend all winter inside a warm living room with me and my pup Sammy

When caring for pets in their own home, I stick closely to their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get plenty of playtime and walks, and have lots of attention and affection. I also keep the home tidy and follow any specific instructions you leave—because your pet’s happiness and safety are my top priority!
About: I recently relocated to wheeling from Montana ! I am looking for ways to get out in the community besides my normal job! I have two dogs of my own and love to take them for walks and adventures. Mornings and evenings work best for me. However, my work schedule is pretty flexible at the moment so afternoons are doable as well. Weekends are totally open! I care for others pets the same way I would care for my own. I make sure to give them lots of attention and love while making sure all their basic needs are taken care of.
About: I cared for 2 of my own dogs their entire lives. Puppies to elderly. I miss them so much. Now Im available to care for other fur babies who need it. I’m available all through the day and night (with the help of my mom & step dad who also live with me). Local to Wheeling, right off Washington Ave. My yard is fenced in & I live right behind Pleasanton ball field/dogpark/playground for extra fun walks. My home is very pet friendly so no crating is needed. It works out well. Would love to watch your pets for you. In your home or mine. I love all animals. I have a fenced in yard. Also live directly behind a playground & ball field for plenty of activity. Iv lived all my life with pets. Excited to help care for yours. I do prefer pet sitting at the pets home. I can have pets in my home no problem. I can pick up & deliver as well. Short trips or long stays. All options open.😊
About: I'm passionate when it comes to top quality care of all animals. I live, eat, and breathe pet care/vet med. I'm a loving, kind experienced veterinary assistant with experience in specialty vet med. I have 2 medium well trained dogs that I share custody of, so I can accomodate more needy puppers or kitties if needed (they can go to their dads for sittings) I also have 3 cats. My first job as a kid in high-school was helping the local groomer wash dogs. I have pet sat, house sat, walked dogs, fed, bathed, clipped nails, admin'ed meds, etc. for over 20 years at this point. Because I have a background in vet med, I feel comfortable with pets who have some mild to moderate special needs. I work full time remotely, so I am available to sit in my home or at yours with short notice. I also have a very flexible schedule which allows for frequent potty/ walk about breaks. I have a spare room for pets overnight in my home. During the day they're allowed to freely roam the house and we will take occasional strolls to park, or on the trail, based on behavior and comfort level of all parties.

“Jessica and Theodore took amazing care of our dogs while we were away, and our dogs had a great time! We loved getting daily picture updates of them while we were gone. They had lots outside play time. They came home brushed and tired. We will definitely reach out to them in the future for any future dog sitting needs. Thank you!”
“Heather was easy to talk to and she was able to help us in a last minute pinch. Jake loved being with the kids. I look forward to using her and her family again in the future!”

“We had a great experience and will definitely be boarding again!! Easy pick up and drop off, great communication with daily picture updates, and our pup LOVED the doggie door!!”

“I was a little nervous about leaving Lucy with a new sitter, but Ryan was wonderful! We had a meet and greet with him and his two dogs prior to Lucy's stay so we knew ahead of time that they were compatible. Ryan kept me up to date with photos of Lucy and what they were doing- she had an amazing time! Definitely would use Ryan again!”

“Wendy was amazing and her boarding-room is the cat’s meow. She went the extra mile to love my cats while I was away. I appreciate everything she did and would trust her with them again.”

“Christy and Daniel saved the day when our other sitters cancelled 3 days before our vacation. They were so gracious and understanding, their farm is absolutely beautiful, and they took great care of our pups, we were a mess dropping them off, we were 15 minutes late because we forgot one of our dog's beds, we also forgot one of their food containers, AND their bowls. Then we got our time to return mixed up and were two hours late picking them up, they were so understanding and kind. We would absolutely use them agaain! Highly recommend!”

“Another wonderful stay for our pup Daisy! Anthony and Leslie take such great care and show so much love to our pup while we're away. We couldn't ask for more. We love the frequent picture updates throughout each day, evidence that Daisy is having a great time. Thank you!”

“Loved getting pictures of our dog through the week, and were confident that she was being well cared for and well loved! Will definitely book again. Thanks, Cassandra!”
“Bailey was here for an extended amount of time while we were out of town on vacation and I had complete peace of mind knowing that she was in excellent care.

About: Hello! My name is Skylar and I am a recent college grad who has been in Pittsburgh about 2 years. I have over 70 5-star ratings on Wag, which is a similar app to Rover. Back home in Ohio I have a sweet Mini Schnauzer who is 11 years old. He is blind and diabetic, so I have lots of experience taking care of older pups with medical needs. I also have a 7 year old Australian Shepard who has LOTS of energy and is always bouncing off the walls. She loves to play and herd her brother. Two new additions to the fam are 2 year old bernadoodles-lots of dog in the house! I miss my sweet pups, which is why I love to use Wag and Rover :) I absolutely adore any dog I come across and would love to get to know you and your doggo! I have a bit of an odd schedule where over the winter I work M-F completely remote and in the spring-fall I work Th-M half remote and half in person at North Park with Tuesday and Wednesday as my “weekends.” There is some variability to this schedule, but for the most part it is as described. I live with my boyfriend in a three level townhouse that has a large yard and is on a safe, quiet street. When fury friends visit us they are allowed on the furniture and we make sure to take them out on walks at least 4 times a day. Typically this looks like right when we wake up, during lunch, after dinner, and right before bed. When I stay at a pup’s house, I make sure to leave it cleaner than I found it!
