About: My name is Misty and I would love to help you care for your pets. I live in Maysville and will travel to surrounding areas. I grew up in a family that bred and trained Golden Retrievers and Chocolate Labrador Retrievers to duck hunt. I have also leash-broken hounds, German Shepherds, and Siberian Huskies. The leashes I use are gentle-leaders. I do not use any other form of leashes as I use the pack leader training method. I reward pets with positive reinforcement and do not punish animals. I’m a disabled veteran so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies. I love spending time with dogs and cats. I do crate training at my home and I have a 1 acre yard with a creek. Sadly, I had to put my own dog down this fall (13yo Boxer named Neeco) and am looking to get my pup fix through volunteering at the SPCA and pet-sitting/walking, as I am not quite ready to take on another dog just yet. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages, but I especially love senior doggos. I currently work part-time as an RN and make my own schedule, so am very flexible in that regard. Available for boarding most weekends Friday-Monday. My yard is unfenced but on a very private road with low traffic. Lots of trails and streams to explore if that is something your fur baby would enjoy! If not, we have a large deck and screened in porch for outdoor lounging, and big comfy couch by the fireplace for them to relax.

About: I'm friendly with all kinds of pets, both kitties and doggos, I have a very peaceful home very welcoming to new critters. Plenty of room to run around and exercise. Currently working part-time for the summer, can easily give your fur baby's the attention they need whenever you're busy or out of town. Plenty of space behind the house to get them lots of exercise. Hardwood floors and a big grassy yard with a field behind the house. Very easy to walk super quiet neighborhood. Also have the ability to create your pets if necessary.

I’ve raised cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens, and I also work closely with the animal lab at the Science Museum of Virginia in my hometown of Richmond.
