About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and have been dog sitting for friends and family for most of it. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s individual personality (and all their weird little quirks!). I also have quite a bit of hands-on experience beyond my own pets. From 2013–2015, I worked at the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), where I helped provide formal dog training classes and gained experience with dog behavior and positive training techniques. Over the past five years, I’ve also fostered dogs through New River Animal Rescue — everything from puppies to sweet seniors and dogs with very different personalities and needs. I currently have a 6-year-old rescue mutt of my own, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. I’m comfortable with puppies, seniors, reinforcing training and routines, or giving a more timid pup some extra patience. Mostly, I just want every dog I care for to feel safe, loved, and at home while their person is away. ❤️ I work from home, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine and I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, potty breaks and company throughout the day. I work from home, which means dogs in my care get plenty of supervision, attention and outdoor breaks throughout the day. I’m also happy to follow whatever routines, feeding schedules, crate routines or house rules your dog is used to. When caring for pets in their own home, I try to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away.

I also had a cat for several years who has since passed, poor baby, but I am also familiar with giving cats meds and cleaning litter boxes etc. My furbabies are my family and I will treat yours like they are family as well! I've pet sat for many friends and family over the years, including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and fish. If your pet has any restrictions or special needs, as long as I have instructions I can and will totally work with you to the fullest extent so your pet gets the most benefit from their walk/visit! About: I have a Yorkie of my own who I have had since I was 16. Over the years, I have often been asked by friends/family to visit their home every so often to let their pets out/feed them while they are unable to do so. I know how hard it is to find care for furbabies so I am eager to help anyone I can! I love adventuring (just look at the picture of my lil man on Long Point Trail lol!) so if your babies like walks, walk we shall :) I am a nurse in Beckley. I work 3 12 hour shifts a week. On the days I am not working, I am able to feed, water, walk, hang out with your pets! Just let me know how long you would like me to spend time with them and we will work something out! :) I can sit with your dog for 30 minutes to an hour at your home (if just a check in… can be there longer, if needed), walk them, feed them, etc. Whatever you need/do for your pet, I will do!
