“I can’t say enough good things about how well Maya was cared for. The night before I dropped her off, I had taken Maya on a hike, and in hindsight, not checking her thoroughly for ticks afterward wasn’t the smartest decision on my part. The morning after her first night with Whitney, she discovered that Maya had a significant number of ticks on her. She immediately texted me to let me know what was going on, especially since she had a two-year-old and other dogs in the house and understandably needed to be careful. I was traveling and tried to arrange for friends to pick Maya up, but unfortunately, I couldn’t make that happen. She could easily have told me I needed to find another solution, but instead, she went completely above and beyond. She went out, got tick shampoo and treatment, gave Maya a thorough bath, dealt with the ticks, and made sure she was comfortable and well cared for. It was a stressful situation that she didn’t create, but she handled it with so much patience, responsibility, and genuine care for Maya. Being away, it meant a lot knowing that someone was willing to step up and take care of her when I couldn’t be there. I’m incredibly grateful and would absolutely trust her with Maya again. About: Hello everyone! My name is MacKenzie, I am 21 years old, and I love animals of all shapes and sizes, but I do have the most experience with dogs. There has never been a time in my life where I haven’t had a dog. My family started out with a Labrador, then we got two Shih Tzu’s, and now I live with my boyfriend and we have a Boxador named Luna who is 9 months old with a bunch of energy! My friends and family have always entrusted my sister or I to take care of their pets, so when I heard about Rover I thought, “What better job is there than to hang out with doggos all day?” So, I signed up and I am excited to show your animals the same love and care you do! I moved to Raleigh recently and just got a new job as a Medical Esthetician at a spa. I am currently going through the process of building up my clientele at the spa I work at since I am so new; therefore, I have a decent amount of free time in between! I care for my dog typically by walking her twice a day, taking her to the dog park on weekends, cuddling her when she lets me, and taking her on fun adventures when I can bring her with me! If she can go with me, she’s by my side haha.

About: Not only do I cherish and love every pet, I also offer pet grooming services for all dogs, all shapes and sizes. We love fur babies. I am currently working part-time at our local vet. I have plenty of time to play and take of your furr baby. Boarding is available everyday. I do not have a fenced yard but have plenty of property if needed. We do have an outside dog kennel which is heated and cooled but most of our clients stay inside the house. Which is what we prefer.

About: I have been a vet assistant for 8 years, I now stay at home with my 1 year daughter and 4 dogs. We have chickens and a horse as well. We are big animal lovers of any kind. I'm a stay at home mom, I'm open all day and can come to your house or the pet can come to mine. We are very open to any schedule. We have a 6 foot private fence, and we have 4 dogs that are friendly with anyone and everyone. We also go to the dog park for more exercise with them as weather depends.
