“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. About: I have over 30 years experience training dogs. I am able to dog sit from my home full time. I recently moved to a large property in the country, that is a short 35 minute drive from Madisons west side. I have a acer that is completely fenced in and I am more than happy to offer pick up and drop off to the west side of Madison. I'm professional trained as a dog groomer, worked professionally for over 6 years as a groomer, dog trainer and doggie daycare provider. I have also worked as a vet assistant for 2 years in Denver Colorado. About: My Lab pups were immediately potty trained at 8 weeks by my carrying them outside upon awakening. All are kind and gentle loving animals that wear smiles on their faces. Very happy. I am retired and flexible. I live at The House on the Rock and love the outdoors, walking the trails and golf. I am also an early riser. Julie was clear that her dog Zilla's comfort with Ollie was a priority, which I fully support. I won't want to trust my dog to someone who isn't looking out for ALL the dogs involved. Julie was very responsive with messages, showed us around her home and yard and was generally very calm and patient. While the dogs didn't end up getting along well enough for this to work out long term, Ollie warmed up to Julie and was definitely as calm as I've seen him after being left.”

About: My family has always had dogs. I’ve had all types of experiences with dogs. I have been pet sitting for years. I was in the 4h dog obedience project, did rally obedience, showmanship, did cgc and therapy dog training, dog agility, and I’m working at a doggie daycare and boarding facility now have been there for almost 8 years. I do work full time. But my husband works from home and agreed to help me out. So there will always be somebody at the house to watch over your pet. I have a fenced in yard for the dogs to run around in. I also have two 12 pound dogs that are very barky at first but then they are fine. I also have a cat that is very friendly and not afraid of dogs-does your dog get along with cats?

About: I’ve grown up in a household that has always had at least two dogs, usually 3. We also have 3 indoor-outdoor cats. I am now a student at UW Madison, and I have a 5yr old heeler shepherd mix. Throughout her life I have trained her for obedience and herding, and have dealt with low confidence and reactivity with her daily. I am experienced with dogs who are shy and tend to be reactive. I have a part time internship at UW Madison, so I have partially and completely free days every week. That being said, I will have plenty of time to make house visits around this schedule. After communicating and speaking to Paige on the phone, I realized that Paige was a true animal lover like myself. It was then I booked with her to board my Babycat while I had to go to the hospital for 2 nights. During my stay at the hospital, Paige answered text and even sent pictures of my Babycat to reassure me. She also helped load and unload Babycat in her carrier, as I am dealing with a handicap.This is how Paige takes excellent care of animals and their humans !
