“We could not have been happier with the care that Laura and her family provided for our 2-year-old Black Lab, Jewel, while we were in New York for five days. Laura checked in regularly and shared funny photos of Jewel clearly living her best life! Laura and her family went above and beyond—they even set up a small plastic pool, which Jewel seemed to thoroughly enjoy, along with plenty of playtime and frolicking with the children. Their fenced-in yard and quiet neighborhood provided a safe and welcoming environment. About: I have always had animals around in my life. Overall, I have had the pleasure of having 8 dogs, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, 1 hamster, and lots of fish (both freshwater and saltwater). I work from home full time, so I'm here to interact with your pet and provide frequent breaks for play and potty. I have a small, unfenced yard and will let your dog outside on a long lead to keep him/her safe and under my supervision. I currently live on 23 acres in the country and long walks and chasing balls packs in most of the day with my 4 dogs Jetta, Odie, Ruby and Rowley. All dogs are dog friendly and well mannered. Graduating puppy classes to canine good citizen classes, plus dabbling in agility and herding. I currently work Weekends Friday-Sunday and my week is filled with lots of outdoor time on my hobbies farm. Lots of free time during the week helps me have fun with my animals and enjoy the sunshine. All my pets are cat and dog friendly and have full freedom of the property. New comers are always on a 12 foot leash during playtime and walks, unless E-collar trained. About: I have grown up around dogs my whole life and I've had my first (adult life) dog for three and a half year. Wila Rose is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. About a year and a half ago we added another rescue, Buckley Quinn. He is a smart but goofy boy. They both go backpacking with us and we do a lot of hiking on our local public land areas. We enjoy playing around in our yard with our limited dog agility set and learning new tricks. We occasionally go swimming but love jumping and exploring new water areas and hiking trails. Wila and Buckley are a huge part of my life. We enjoy hiking, being outdoor, and traveling as much as possible. We do quite a but of training included but not limited to: agility, scent training, shed training, and just some fun party tricks. About: I’ve grown up raising 2 toy poodles from my childhood. Now as an adult I adopted my first dog of my own, Mabel, who is an 5yr old lab! I also have horses, so have been around all sorts of animals my whole life. Love any and all sizes and breeds of pups! I work from home so my schedule is very flexible and can do last minute/short notice requests no problem! If you need me to spend a little more time with your pet, I can easily bring my work computer with me. I would treat your home as my own. Follow any/all rules you may have as well as rules for your pet. My dog is crate trained when away so I am comfortable having anything to do around crating.
About: As far as experience goes there isn’t a time in my life I remember that I wasn’t caring for an animal. From reptiles, to rodents, to cats and dogs, I’ve had them all. From a young age I was taught responsibility and discipline when it came to caring for tiny creatures. Additionally for over two years I volunteered weekly at a local animal shelter. During this time I gained knowledge as to how animals interacted with one another, how to properly administer medication, warning signs to look out for, what to do in emergencies, and deeply studied animal behavior. To add on to that I am currently employed at a doggie daycare. During my time here not only have I gotten to widen my horizons when it came to taking care of animals but I have learned hands on how to bandage a wound, what to do in animal confrontations as well as how to handle the unexpected such as sickness or seizures. Additionally over the last 3 years I have volunteered at different animal welfare programs across the globe. These include Portugal, Puerto Rico, Tanzania and soon Hawaii. During this time I have not only seen hands on other cultures way of taking care of animals but also gained knowledge as to how to better the animal care I provide to clients. As I previously stated I currently am employed at a doggie daycare. Additionally I work at a bakery as well. My schedule changes weekly so it can be hard to give an exact time frame when booking. Typically I work up to 8 hour shifts. I typically prefer to stay in clients homes to keep their pets safe and happy in their own environment. I will be there in the morning before work, and will immediately come back when I get off as well as being there at night. I try to spend as much time as possible with the pets while you are away I typically only offer staying in the clients home and I am comfortable crating animals while gone. I always keep things like medications safely out of reach and secured. Additionally upon booking I typically ask about any health notes, allergies, or special needs as well as a good contact number for your vet in case of emergency.
About: i’ve worked with all different size dogs, cats from different age ranges who need medication and lounge, and some others who need training and active walks! i’m currently not working many hours at my job and thought this would be a great way to spend my extra time spending time with animals ! About: My family has had a dog since I was younger and I currently have a mini goldendoodle.
