“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”

This was our first time using Rover and leaving Toffee with someone we didn’t know, so we were definitely nervous at first. Toffee had the absolute best time running around in her huge backyard, playing with her kids and her two dogs, and getting so much love and attention. About: I love all animals, but cats have always had a special place in my heart. My family adopted a kitten in the year before I was born, and she immediately claimed all the baby gear for herself. I adopted my own kitten in 2020, Saturn, and he is my entire life (and camera roll). He is sassy, loud, HUGE, impossibly soft, and the biggest, grumpiest baby I've ever met. Each of them are so unique and communicate with us in different ways, and one of my favorite things is learning a cat's mannerisms and likes/dislikes. Even the grumpiest or most aloof cats just need a little patience and learning how they like to interact. I am always down to snuggle or just be in the same room as them, provide different kinds of enrichment with toys or puzzles, or if your kitty is an adventurer, leash time outside. Grooming is always a toss up with cats, but I'm comfortable with the basics - brushing, nail trims, the occassional bath. I'd love to know as much as I can about them ahead of time, including if there are specific needs or accommodations they have.

I recently moved to a large property in the country, that is a short 35 minute drive from Madisons west side. About: I’ve grown up in a household that has always had at least two dogs, usually 3. We also have 3 indoor-outdoor cats. I am now a student at UW Madison, and I have a 5yr old heeler shepherd mix. Throughout her life I have trained her for obedience and herding, and have dealt with low confidence and reactivity with her daily. I am experienced with dogs who are shy and tend to be reactive. My priority is making sure your pets are happy and your home is respected, so you can travel with real peace of mind. I welcome meet-and-greets beforehand, communicate throughout the stay, and always leave your home just as I found it. Pet sitting is my primary focus when I take a sit — I'm not squeezing it in around a busy schedule. Your pets get my full attention, not leftover time. I stay in your home for the full sit, keeping your pets in their own space with their familiar routines, smells, and comfort. No disruption, no transport — just consistent care in the environment they already trust.
About: I have patience. I have worked in a group home and as a job coach for people with special needs. I have always had pets in my home i,e, dogs, cats, gerbils, fish, Chinchilla, and outdoor rabbits. I grew up with pets always around. I have time during the weekday to be able to walk your dogs. I like taking walks during the day and would like to walk them on a continual basis. I walk, feed and care for my dog everyday.I think it's important for dogs to get exercise everyday and on a regular basis if possible.
About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid around 5 years old. I have taken care of dogs all the way from them being puppies to their final days. Young dogs and old dogs and everyone in between all come with their surprises and I will be ready to handle all things! You can trust in me to take the best possible care of your pet! I am able to work from home every other day 90% of the time. When I am working from home I have the freedom and flexibility to be able to take care of dogs whether they come over for the day or they need to be let outside around lunch time. I will always keep my schedule up to date on when I am working from home. I currently do not have a pet of my own due to time constraints but I like to think of dogs as hoomans. I like to talk to them throughout the day and always take little 5 min breaks and run around the house with them. They will get plenty of outside walking time as I dont like to sit still myself.
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 10. My family has a doodle and I grew up with him. I graduated last year and I started raising a golden retriever. Her name is Yumi and she is 8 months old now. She has a great personality and there is no dog she can not get along with! I worked at home on weekends and I'm mostly available on holidays. Weekday schedule depends on my research and class schedule. I'm pretty flexible and open to same-day reservations. I have a dog-proofed apartment. If you have a puppy who is not fully house-trained I will be able to take care of him/her. Dogs are allowed on couches and their beds.

“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”
