I grew up around dogs/cats of all kinds my whole life and have previous experience with dog sitting for friends while they were away on trips. I’ve also volunteered at my local animal shelter, where I spent time caring for and walking both dogs and cats. You don’t need to worry about traveling, as I have my own vehicle to travel. Because I work part time at a clinic, I’m available only afternoons and nights during the week. However, I'm available all day during the weekends. If you need a sitter, I would be unavailable to take them to my own house, but can stop in/stay at your place. Caring for an pet greatly depends on the pet themselves and the owner's desires. I love to play and be active with the animals if allowed. If a pet is older and doesn't like to be active for long, I enjoy just spending the quality time so they aren't lonely while their owner is away. I also always check in with the client about their pet's basic needs, such as how much they are fed and how often, how often they are let out, if there is any needs for any disabilities, etc.

About: I care for each pet as if they were my own. I walk, run and play with them. I treat every pet like a friend, offering comfort, attention and emotional connection. I bathe my dog about every other month. We have a routine in the morning with a walk before breakfast. Sometimes a walk around lunch time and another one after work is done. He is well loved and treated like a family member. I work full time Monday through Friday. I am in my office 3 half days and full time at home the other 2 days. I could stop at someone’s place on my way home to spend time with a dog and walk them. I can also stop over after work and later in the evening. In my home I have a fenced in yard that my dog can run free and play. If I am in a clients home I would make sure that there is nothing that the dog/puppy could get into after spending time with them/walking them.

About: We live in a large two story townhouse that provides lots of indoor play space. We live in a townhouse community that has a large common area in the front and back. We also have a deck that your pet can lounge on. We live near lots of walking paths and a dog park. We also live near the edge of town and close walking distance to the river. My husband and I have five children who love pets of all kinds and are full of energy. I work a full time seasonal job so I will have more flexibility come the winter months. Our weekends are generally free. During the week is a bit hectic with having five kids in school with various activities. We have an unfenced yard but live close to dog parks. About: The two loves of my life were my dog, Abby, and my dog Bronx. Abby was a Siberian husky and Bronx a 15” lemon beagle. Bronx was part of my life for 20 years and just recently passed. I honestly can’t imagine a life without animals in it, and one day I wanna be able to reflect back on my life, knowing that I did as much as I could to help as many animals as possible, which is why becoming a part of ROVER is so appealing. About: Something that sets me apart from others is the fact that I raised my parents dog Hildi as I was doing online school at the time! Pet care fits great into my routine as I am only going to school part time. I absolutely love spending time with dogs and/or cats! The one caution is if you leave your dog there for too many days, they might end up not wanting to come back home. If you have a doodle and need a sitter, you’re doing your dog a disservice if you choose anyone else! 11/10 recommend.”
