“Karen was great to work with. Very open for a meet and greet prior to having our Barley stay there. She allowed Barley to wander in the fenced in area to familiarize himself. Barley wasn't afraid of her, in fact walked right up to her for petting. She was great in letting us drop off 1/2 hr earlier than expected as was ready for our vacation earlier. Arrived home earlier in the day than we thought so was great with letting us pick up Barley a day early. Karen said she would go on Rover and adjust days for a refund...I declined and said enjoy it as a tip. He was a tired but happy dog when we picked him up. Thank you Karen.”

Our four kids are age 7-13 and will also provide extra attention and playtime for your dog. With six in the household you can rest assured knowing your dog will have attention at all times. Our 4 acre yard provides ample space for leashed exploring and there is abundant wildlife in the area providing new smells to investigate. Your dog will be walked a minimum of once in the morning and once at night with bathroom breaks every 2-4 hours or as needed. During the week my wife and I have the ability to work from home to provide care for your dog during the day. We do require dogs to potty trained and not have a history of aggression. They also need to be trained to not chew on non toys unless they are still puppies which we fully understand and can work with! We look forward to having an opportunity to meet you and keeping you pets well loved! No matter what our day looks like, there is always someone available to provide the attention and consistency of car for your dog(s), which is the number one priority. We also have a furnished basement that can be closed off if needed. Or a quiet capped garage and workshop room depending on the sleeping arrangements your dog is accustomed to. About: I'm an animal lover who has grown up with pets in my life since I was a kid. I grew up in rural Wisconsin so not only did we have the standard cats/dogs around but we also cared for cows and other farm animals. I'm very comfortable with helping your dog/cat take medicine as I have experience giving pills/eyedrops etc to several pets that I've looked after in the past. There's plenty of space for your pet here! We live in a 3 bedroom house with a huge unfinished basement which we use as a 38 foot X 18 foot animal play area which is especially handy on those snowy/rainy days where it's hard to get those high energy dogs outside for a good walk/run. There's also plenty of space in both the front and back yard to allow for pets to run around. The neighborhood is in a low traffic subdivision with lots of pet owners so everybody keeps an eye out for each others pets and walks are quiet and safe as there's no through traffic in the area.

However, there are breeds of dogs are kids are allergic too so we will have to review your dog before agreeing to watch them. We have a large yard in a quiet neighborhood. However, it is not fenced. We will walk your dog a minimum of 2x per day, with bathroom breaks every 2-4 hours. Your dog will spend much of their time in our house, or in the large 4x8 kennel we have. We do require the breeds of dogs that we let in our house to not be breeds our kids are allergic too. For pets in our house we also request they do not have extensive history chewing on things they shouldn’t. We’re also good with puppies as we understand they are still learning!

About: I have been surrounded by cats and dogs my whole life! My family has had Blue Heelers and Beagles, and cats. I have my degree in Agriculture Education, giving me a nice rounded education on the topics of animals. For cats, I understand the importance of routine and comfortability in their lives. I am generally free in the mornings before 8am, and again in the afternoon after 4:30pm. About: I own two high-energy dogs, Josie and Stella, both raised from puppies, so I know how stressful puppy-parenting can be. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for many years. This includes both walks and house sitting. I also have watched pets including cats and dogs in my neighborhood. I am a college student taking classes during the week. My class schedule is mornings to early evenings and I am available most weekends for your pets I will be accommodating to all your pets needs and be making sure that any dogs are on a leash outside and during our walks.
About: Hello my name is Eli I’ve had dogs and cats all my life so I feel fairly well trained to take care of your pets needs as well. My grandpa was a veterinarian so I spent a lot time growing up learning how to take care for animals being around him. My family and Friends have relied on me to take care of their pets in the past and I hope you will too. I am a college student and I have breaks throughout the day that I generally go home or in your case hopefully take care of your house or animal. And my nights are almost free every night. About: Hi! My name is Ryley! I’ve had pets of my own since I was 6 years old, and have been caring for them since. I started helping others care for their animals since I was about 12 years old, and do obedience training on the side. I currently have no traditional employment, and am home basically at all times. I like to go for regular walks and can bring your pet with me, as well as help with bathroom breaks while you’re at work, or vet visits when you’re busy! I have an open yard with a fenced in dog park within a 5 minute walk. I have a crate available, and extra rooms if the animal doesn’t enjoy crates.
About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 9 years old. Ever since my dog Daisy died when I was in High School I have been jumping at the opportunity to care of my friends and families pets. It is always the highlight of my day to visit the different pets and I would almost say I like to see my families pets more then my actual family. I work from home full time and always have time during breaks and right after work to fit in a walk or visit for food. On the weekends I have more time to do multiple visits and walks. I have usually gone to my friends houses but my apartment does allow pets so I could take care of them here too. My apartment easy access to safe walking and a place for the bathroom.
About: I have a 2 year old aussidoodle, she is fixed, potty trained, and she’s super friendly! My cats old and inside cat her name is piper! I work a lot but I’m normally available depending on the day and time. You just message me and I can make something work! I’m pretty flexible. It would be nice to have a 2 weeks notice! My dog Oakley is a cattle dog so therefore she needs walks a lot. My family owns a private camp grounds, so if your dog has a lot of energy let me know I bet I could make something work!

About: I am open to most pets. Cats, Dogs, Horses, Calves, Lambs, Guinea Pigs, Turtles, etc..... If extra special care or out of state, I do charge travel fees. I do have experience with older pets and young ones. I have been known to raise Opossums from the size of mice to adults. If that gives you an idea! I am open to new proposals and willing to negotiate new situations! (Unencountered situations when it comes to pets) I also House-sit, plants, pets etc... I do travel out of state to Illinois (Mostly the North suburbs of Chicago) and Wisconsin. This is where I have done house-sitting. Pets and Plants can be included in this care. I do add travel expenses, mainly for gas, when traveling for house sitting. I get up in the morning and get my coffee going and then tend to pets that are around. They get fed first thing, inside and outside. Feral cats seem to be present in the morning. Litter boxes are checked. Water Bowls. Mostly I go to people's homes and care for the pets at their houses, but I have had people bring them to me. I have an extra room set up in my barn if there are anxieties or stress with animals and they need a quiet place. I am in the process of updating that room a little more. It is heated for the winter months. I do have hand brushes and combs for extra attention and I do go talk to whoever is around. If dogs come, they can be walked. Although I live in a small town, I am close to nice places to walk on the edge of town.

“Karen was great to work with. Very open for a meet and greet prior to having our Barley stay there. She allowed Barley to wander in the fenced in area to familiarize himself. Barley wasn't afraid of her, in fact walked right up to her for petting. She was great in letting us drop off 1/2 hr earlier than expected as was ready for our vacation earlier. Arrived home earlier in the day than we thought so was great with letting us pick up Barley a day early. Karen said she would go on Rover and adjust days for a refund...I declined and said enjoy it as a tip. He was a tired but happy dog when we picked him up. Thank you Karen.”

About: I have recently started dog sitting in my home. I have helped friends and now opening my home to more furry companions to help your family. I am a teacher in Dubuque and have the summers off. During the school year I work from 7:30-4:00 and home full time in the summer months. My home has a fenced in yard and is in the perfect location for walking.
