When going to a client's home, I am very careful when entering and exiting the home when the door opens. I also do a head count of any cats including my own before leaving a house. I know from my own pet that they like to get curious and can suddenly go into a bathroom or closet and can get closed in. Just like my teaching days - taking head counts is important! I also watch the pets as they eat especially if there are multiple in a house so that they don't overeat by sneaking snacks from their pet buddies food.

My older cat is a diabetic with severe skin issues requiring multiple medications on an alternating schedule in addition to her twice a day insulin. She did a good job asking questions and making sure Kitten got the medications she needed on the correct schedule. She successfully gave both oral and injection medication and Kitten was in great shape when I got back (which is not always the case after a vacation due to her detailed care needs). There were some minor things that came up but those were mostly me being very particular about some specifics and in the end, were not that important and didn't affect the care of the cats. The house was clean and the cat food and litter box trash taken out, which I appreciated.”

About: I have one dog and one cat that tend to stay upstairs. I absolutely love animals, So I hope to have my own little hobby farm one day. About: I've been around animals my whole life! Family and friends have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets, both cats and dogs. I also worked for Wag, which I thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much about caring for pets. “Kam was an answer to my prayers! There are just sometimes I have to be away where my dog, a toy Aussie, can’t go, but I always hated taking him to a kennel. Somehow I found Rover and that led me to Kam. After a meet and greet I knew this was good. Kam, her family and her pets welcomed Cosmo in and treated him like family. She sent pictures several times a day. This was perfect for me to be able to leave him without feeling bad. He had lots of fun there. So glad I found Rover and Kam! It feels good!”

About: I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs from a variety of backgrounds, and I’m excited to bring that experience to Rover. I provide loving, personalized in-home daycare and boarding in Spring Grove, IL. I only care for one family’s dog(s) at a time, so your pup gets my full attention, plenty of love, and a comfortable home environment. I have a large fenced in backyard. I currently own a 4 month old golden retriever and a 15 year old beagle mix. I can provide care to puppies and medically complicated dogs as well. ❤️ I currently own a 4-month-old female Golden Retriever and a 15-year-old Beagle mix. I also have 3 children and work from home, so I am home throughout the day and able to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I have a large, fully fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play and explore. I also have a large indoor pen available if needed, along with plenty of toys and chews. I only care for one family's dog(s) at a time, allowing me to provide more personalized attention and supervision.
