“I have never entrusted anyone with my dog before, but I can confidently say that I will never leave him with anyone other than Alia. When I went to pick him up, he was visibly excited to see me, but he barked at me while Alia had him on a leash. His barking is usually a sign of protectiveness, which instantly reassured me that he felt safe and secure with her. As he got closer and recognized me, his excitement became evident, but before leaving with me, he tried to run back towards Alia again, showing just how much he adored her. I didn't take offense to any of this; in fact, I was overjoyed because it demonstrated how much he enjoyed his time with her. If I could change one thing, it would be that she didn't always initiate updates through text. I felt like I had to reach out to get updates, but this didn't bother me because I understand that everyone has their own way of doing things. Perhaps she prefers to provide updates at the end of the day, and I just didn't give her the opportunity to do so since I wanted updates at the beginning of the day. I never communicated this expectation, so I can't fault her for it. Nonetheless, she was always responsive and would reply within the first 2-5 minutes. On the day of pickup, she even offered to give him a bath and blow dry for an additional cost, which I thought was a fantastic gesture. Who wants to bathe their dog after a vacation? Definitely not me! Overall, my experience with her was beyond exceptional, and I would rate it 10000/10. I highly recommend her services as she genuinely loves and cares for dogs. I will never choose anyone else. Plus, my dog came back smelling and looking amazing!”

“Michelle regularly does check ins and has done a couple overnights for my pup. She arrives on time, takes great care of my dog, communicates, follow instructions, and sends lots of pics. She is incredibly nice and attentive to my pup and also this nervous dog mom lol. I am very selective in who let care for my gentle giant; I trust Michelle completely and know my baby is in amazing hands. About: My mom had rescue dogs and cats my entire childhood, and a few years ago, I adopted my kitty, Momo. Outside of my home, I occasionally help care for friends’ cats when they travel, which some times includes overnight stays, or some times just 2x a day check ins. I love playing or just chilling with cats. I’m happy to match a cat’s energy and play or not play however it seems to like. Unfortunately, I also have experience with caring for cats at end-of-life, as well as caring for cats experiencing illness. I’ve given antibiotics to my family cats and friends’ cats. My cat Momo is particularly difficult to give medicine to - unfortunately it really stresses him out, so I am very acclimated to cat scratches.
About: I’ve taken care of many different kinds of dogs since I was young. My family has a 14 year old Great Dane who I consider my baby. We have also had other smaller dogs such as a mini Aussie doodle and an Italian greyhound. I have been pet sitting dogs since I was in middle school and I always enjoyed spending time with every dog I met. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and I have experience with lifting and carrying very large senior dogs with difficulty jumping, as well as caring for dogs with sundowners. I’m also pretty good at getting most dogs to take their meds. I’m a college student so I mostly have evenings and weekends free. About: I've been around animals my whole life. I have a cat and have had several different dogs. I even fostered dogs for a summer. I'm now divorced and have my kids half the time. My work is flexible and I can add in dog care as needed throughout the day. I homeschool my boys when I have them and work delivery jobs when I don't. My work is very flexible so I can make time for per care any time. I live in town with a small yard. It works best to come to your home as it's most familiar for the animal. About: I have worked for roughly two years dog sitting for friends and family. Typically these have been in my own home - occasionally overnight. I have a fenced in back yard for my 3 dogs & 2 cats so I have experience with both :) I have complete availability currently, so my dog at home gets quite a lot of walks and park time. If possible, i also try to socialize him with people each day. Typically I take my dog to the dog park in the evening with a long walk in the morning. This works best for my dogs energy levels, but each dog is different. I am also trying to socialize my dog in public as he is a bit scared of humans so we try to hit some breweries here and there.

About: My mom had rescue dogs and cats my entire childhood, and I always helped care for them as her oldest daughter. My mom adopted dogs big and small - as big as a golden retriever, and as little as a chihuahua, and often cared for multiple cats at a time. I grew up in California, where my family pets live with my parents - three dogs and two cats. My cat Momo moved to Eau Claire with me. My parents are planning to retire here, which will be a big move, especially with so many animals, so when the time comes, I’ll be helping move their pets. After living in Eau Claire for a month or so, I house and pet sat for my cousin while she was working on a project out of town for a few months. I bonded with her German Shepherd, Lobo, through long walks and runs, and fell in love with her tiny cat Duchess. Later that winter, while I was still doing the long-term pet sit for my cousin, one of her friend’s rescued a cat who had been abandoned. Due to her living situation, she couldn’t take it in immediately, so Lobo and Duchess had Zia as a guest living with us for a month or so. Beyond helping out my family, I have friends whose animals I help care for on occasion too. One friend reaches out when she needs to go out of town, and I will do check ups or come stay with her needy and sweet cat-named-Kitty. Another friend and I meet up to walk downtown with her cutie little dog Lotta. I record all my walks and runs on Strava, and enjoy posting photos and videos of my furry companions, so if I walk with your pup, I would be happy to share photos if you ask! Last summer, I looked after my co-worker’s chickens and garden for a 3-day weekend, so I’m open to learning how to care for other pets beyond cats and dogs too! I work part-time at the flower shop and my schedule varies week to week based on their need, but I have lots of free time between weekdays and the weekend - I always have a free Sunday. I can easily arrange my schedule to allow for plenty of time between walks, play time, or check ups with animals. I will be brand new to Rover and open to meeting pets’ needs and routines as their human typically would! About: They say to do what you love and make a career out of it. I’m just grateful my career gets to be with dogs. I currently work at a doggy daycare/boarding facility in the area, so I am certified with dog and cat behaviors and have seen the ups and downs of our fur babies, and I am still standing here happy to tell you all about their stay/session. I have also grown up with working farm dogs and have gone on to own a Great Pyrenees who isn’t quite a working dog but sure does “work” like one. Pet care for me starts at dawn lol My pups come for cuddles and a potty break first sight of my eyes opening. Most of the time this does align with my schedule in the 6 am timeframe. Our family does always thankfully have one person home at all times, so while kennels are still utilized in our home for various situations, your pups can expect to stay in a home environment while here :) While I personally do not have a yard, my family does own large pasture fields and hills that we will typically walk daily. These colder seasons do affect how often we go out due to the snow and unplowed hills. However in that safe weather we make it a main priority to keep active with our pups to maintain a healthy and long life for them. Safety is priority number one. Thankfully my family is pretty much set up for success here. We are knowledgeable for food, behavior, and play safety with dogs and cats. Signs and symptoms of common issues with dogs and cats, based off personal experiences, and possible fears of what ifs, urinary cat blockages and bloat, or bloody stools. About: I have taken care of dogs all my life as they are a huge part of so many lives! I love all types, ages, and breeds. I am available during evenings and weekends. About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was about 8 years old with my own labs! This extended into caring for family, family friends and eventually neighbors and the occasional stranger’s dogs as I got older. I would be available for a variety of afternoon or evening walks, potty breaks, or mealtimes! I would also be available on weekends for more in-depth care, stays and adventures. I live in an apartment that allows dogs, and am close to a variety of outdoor walking trails. Play time and cuddles are a free for all, but I tend to have specific areas for eating and sleeping for my dog. I am however comfortable with dogs on furniture, crating, or anything in between!
About: I have lived with dogs since childhood. I have had several dogs of my own, currently I have two Border Collies, one is a tripod. I am currently not working so I am available 7 days a week. I expect that will change and I will update my schedule then. I offer safety and trust to you and your animals. “I have never entrusted anyone with my dog before, but I can confidently say that I will never leave him with anyone other than Alia. When I went to pick him up, he was visibly excited to see me, but he barked at me while Alia had him on a leash. His barking is usually a sign of protectiveness, which instantly reassured me that he felt safe and secure with her. As he got closer and recognized me, his excitement became evident, but before leaving with me, he tried to run back towards Alia again, showing just how much he adored her. I didn't take offense to any of this; in fact, I was overjoyed because it demonstrated how much he enjoyed his time with her. If I could change one thing, it would be that she didn't always initiate updates through text. I felt like I had to reach out to get updates, but this didn't bother me because I understand that everyone has their own way of doing things. Perhaps she prefers to provide updates at the end of the day, and I just didn't give her the opportunity to do so since I wanted updates at the beginning of the day. I never communicated this expectation, so I can't fault her for it. Nonetheless, she was always responsive and would reply within the first 2-5 minutes. On the day of pickup, she even offered to give him a bath and blow dry for an additional cost, which I thought was a fantastic gesture. Who wants to bathe their dog after a vacation? Definitely not me! Overall, my experience with her was beyond exceptional, and I would rate it 10000/10. I highly recommend her services as she genuinely loves and cares for dogs. I will never choose anyone else. Plus, my dog came back smelling and looking amazing!”

About: I have worked for roughly two years dog sitting for friends and family. Typically these have been in my own home - occasionally overnight. I have a fenced in back yard for my 3 dogs & 2 cats so I have experience with both :) I have complete availability currently, so my dog at home gets quite a lot of walks and park time. If possible, i also try to socialize him with people each day. Typically I take my dog to the dog park in the evening with a long walk in the morning. This works best for my dogs energy levels, but each dog is different. I am also trying to socialize my dog in public as he is a bit scared of humans so we try to hit some breweries here and there.
