“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”

About: Hello pet parents! This is Avery and you are probably here to find someone who will take care of your pet(s) just like you would. I am your person! I have grown up with dogs my entire life ranging from miniature dachshunds to saint bernards! I have experience from watching family and friends pets to taking special care of my two puppers. I have also volunteered a great deal of time at my former city’s local humane society walking and playing with all different breeds of dogs. I know how stressful it can be finding someone to care for pets during the busy days, so I would love to help others not have to worry so much because I’ve been there! I have experience with large and small pups. I regularly dog sit and walk friends’ dogs, so I have experience with all sizes and personalities. For house sitting, I can generally offer one midday potty break in addition to standard morning and evening care if you’re located near the west side, including Monroe Street and Fitchburg. For locations farther away, I’m typically able to provide morning and evening care without a midday visit. I can also host well-mannered pets in my dog- and cat-friendly lower-level apartment. The main requirement is that they are comfortable being left alone during the workday and overnight, as I have an upstairs neighbor who works from home.
