About: At any point growing up, we never had less than two dogs, one cat, and one bird (Umbrella Cockatoos). My mother has volunteered at local animal shelters for years while continuing to do so today. Her genuine passion for caring for animals was passed onto my siblings and I from the moment we came home as newborns. Whether it was raising puppies/kittens, or behavior training with rescue pets, I've been around home pet care from a very young age. About: Hey there! I am an animal lover to the core. Let me be your pet's new best friend while you are away! I recently moved back to the Midwest to be closer to family, about two years ago. I was traveling constantly for work, but am now full time work from home. When I lived in another state for work, I did pet care as a part time job with private clients weekly. I grew to absolutely love it and would love to get established back in Wisconsin. I grew up with dogs, cats, and cows my entire life - being raised on a farm. I am the type of person who can’t stop without petting a dog whenever I see one! Providing companionship to your pet is my favorite thing to do. We can go on walks, eat food, and watch the latest Hulu show together! Your fur baby is welcome to sleep with me, on the floor, or in any bed or crate you bring. My two rescue cats absolutely LOVE other animals, so there is no worry there. They are so curious and eventually become besties! Since I am work from home full time now, so I am extremely flexible and they will have constant attention. I do live in an apartment, BUT, I am right next to the walking trail in River Prairie (the loop). I would be more than happy to go on as many walks as needed, and enjoy some sunshine with your fur baby! So do not worry, they can be outside as much or little as you’d like. I am open to care of all animals, all sizes, and all ages. If wanted, I visit my family farm quite often where we have extensive yard and land to run on. It is 100% an option for me to take your pet there if you want them to have some extra smells, especially if they stay long term with me. I’m extremely flexible and want you to not have to worry! While I traveled full time for work in the past, constant updates on my animals back home was crucial to me. I will provide as much or little communication you’d like. I’m here to meet you and your pet where you’d like and keep being away from them stress free. I promise they are in such caring hands! I work from home most days and go on daily walks myself! I offer boarding, day care, dog walking, and can bathe your pup before returning them home to you. I can also pick up and drop off when needed. I can also house sit and pup sit if that is your need/comfortability as well. I work during the normal school year as a nursing instructor. I am off during the summer and am home FULL TIME to dedicate ALL of my time & attention to the fur babies! I promise your baby will be tuckered out, loved on and well fed (to your instructions of course!) Boarding at my home: safety is my top priority with animal to animal interaction and human to animal interaction. If pups need more alone time/privacy, they can be housed separately from my dogs at all times as we have multiple access points from our home to our fenced in yard and gate sectioning in our house. I do walks daily with them and am outside with them as well for the majority of the day. Our fenced in yard has a dog pool and I have BUCKETS of toys for them to play with! If your pup leans toward the spicier side & is more protective when it comes to their toys, food, or water please let me know and separation accommodations can be made, no problem. Our furbabies are a Shorkie and Shih Tzu who are well behaved and make great hosts and playmates! Large pastures and trails on which to walk, so lots of exercise. Our canine guests will receive lots of love and attention! They will be welcome in our house if well-behaved, and treated like one of the family during their stay. About: They say to do what you love and make a career out of it. I’m just grateful my career gets to be with dogs. I currently work at a doggy daycare/boarding facility in the area, so I am certified with dog and cat behaviors and have seen the ups and downs of our fur babies, and I am still standing here happy to tell you all about their stay/session. I have also grown up with working farm dogs and have gone on to own a Great Pyrenees who isn’t quite a working dog but sure does “work” like one. Pet care for me starts at dawn lol My pups come for cuddles and a potty break first sight of my eyes opening. Most of the time this does align with my work schedule in the 6 am timeframe. I do work part time and in those morning shifts end roughly at 12-3 however my partner is typically home before me to let the pups outside. While I personally do not have a yard, my family does own large pasture fields and hills that we will typically walk daily. These colder seasons do affect how often we go out due to the snow and unplowed hills. However in that safe weather we make it a main priority to keep active with our pups to maintain a healthy and long life for them. Safety is priority number one. Thankfully my family is pretty much set up for success here. We are knowledgeable for food, behavior, and play safety with dogs and cats. Signs and symptoms of common issues with dogs and cats, based off personal experiences, and possible fears of what ifs, urinary cat blockages and bloat, or bloody stools. And while I understand dog body language and know how to avoid those tense situations dogs can create, I am incredibly quick to say when we are going to the emergency vet, gosh forbid.

About: What sets me apart? When your pet is in my care (at my home or your own), I make them my priority from start to finish and treat them like my own. When guest dogs are staying in my home I sleep with them in our spare bedroom (no kenneling at night or during the day unless you request I do so) and if I'm house sitting you can rest assured that I will leave your home and pets as good or better than I found them. I never charge extra for walks, playing fetch, taking them on a car ride, or doing an activity they enjoy. I want your pet to feel like they're on vacation, too :) When I'm house sitting for a client I aim to be there the entire time, and since I work remotely (as long as you have quality wi-fi) I am able to work from your home - this means your pet gets even more time and attention, and if I do have to leave it will only be for a very short period and I will communicate this to you prior. I aim to be as flexible as possible to meet both your need and your budget... I know this is an investment! I am here because I love the idea of helping other pet-parents know their pets can be taken care of when they are busy or want to enjoy time away with loved ones. I am also here because anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals :) both my own and any animal I meet. I have experience with all sorts of animals and I'm equally as comfortable with both dogs and cats... big and small. I also have experience with tricky behaviors (aggressiveness, food guarding, potty training, learning to walk on a leash, teaching commands, etc.). I can administer medicine, communicate with vet offices effectively, and I am known for providing all of the updates/pictures/videos someone would like while I'm caring for their pet! For awareness, dogs and cats are kept separate in our home. We do this for safety :) There is an underground fence for our dogs and this is an option if your dogs are collar trained. If not, no problem - I am happy to take pets out on a leash. Safety is my top priority, so I will strictly follow the instructions given for your pet(s). When it comes to inside the home, I will closely monitor all play/interactions and if needed, I will separate and/or give primarily 1 on 1 time with your pet if that is what they require. Please note: if you live more than 45 miles from my address I do charge a 1x flat fee of $50.00 while house sitting. About: I work from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Your pet will have a peaceful stay with lots of love and attention. I work full time from home in IT so if your pet is boarding with me they’ll never be alone, and if I am coming to your home I have some flexibility in my schedule. I love caring for animals! I have lots of nature around my place to take your pet on walks. I have worked as a vet assistant and cared for many dogs, cats, and rabbits in the past.
