“Kareesa was a God send truly! After four years of living in the same place together (the only place my Lucy has every known)- I decided to relocate to another place about 30 minutes away. Lucy is an indoor cat and has pretty much only been around me. I decided it would be best to have her looked after during the move so I could get the new place situated for her and she not be confused with all the commotion on moving day. Her local vet was booked for boarding and then I stumbled upon Rover. Kareesa was the third sitter I reached out to and she got back to me right away. We set up a time to chat. What impressed me the most in our initial conversation is that she only watches over one fur baby at a time to give them the attention and care they deserve. She even offered to come to my home a few days before the move to meet Lucy so she would be somewhat familiar with her. I knew Kareesa was the right match. Lucy is shy around others so she found a spot at her house and pretty much stayed there. Kareesa made sure to make Lucy comfortable so she brought her things close to her and built her a fortress so she wouldn't have to explore too far if she didn't want to. It worked. She sent me a daily update with pictures. My Mom and I have decided to adopt her and Lucy approves. About: I’ve had cats since I was old enough to pay my own bills. I’ve watched neighbor’s cats and volunteered at cat rescues. I understand that they can get overstimulated and need time to approach you. I try to make sure they get that time and the attention they need.

About: Have much patience as I helped raise litters of puppies from 17 on, experience with IVDD (intervertebral disk disease) paralyzed, expressing bladders, dog grooming assistant for 2 yrs, cancer/kidney failure, comfort cares, giving meds, behavior/aggression issues and more :) Currently work another part time flexible job. I am a hard worker and learn things quickly. Pets have always been my passion to be around :) I always feed my pets before myself and they go out to use restroom the same most times. Safety is my top priority! Respect their space and property always.

I am a professional wildlife biologist and animal behaviorist. I have been a part of many dog-friendly families for over a decade. Often called Auntie Kareesa, I am used to having many dog friends I consider and treat as if they were my own family. I love to take out my fury friends hiking with me and am good at being in tune with their needs. I am also good with all sorts of different breeds as I have studied many of them. As a wildlife biologist I am familiar with animal behavior in general, and most often I am able to help dog owners further understand their animals behavior and needs. I love learning from animals and the many things they can teach us as well as help educate myself and others about them. I am an entrepreneur and I work mostly from home with the exception of a few days a week where the most I will be gone at one time will be 4-6 hours. I only host one pet at a time and I provide quality care and a peaceful environment. My community offers long, safe, and private walking paths and hiking trails. I am a long time trusted house sitter and my service includes not only caring for your pet and/or pets but also watering plants, bringing in the mail, rolling out trash bins (if applicable) on trash days, and overall caring for your home and a high standard of upkeep in your home, as well as keeping your entire home and pet(s) friendly and loving company. Your pet is given quality care and attention. Each pet and breed has very specific needs and preferences. I tailor everything I do aside from your feeding schedule, potty breaks, and walks, for each individual based on their specific needs.

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life- grew up on a dairy farm in Northern VT. My family consists of three rescued dogs and a rescued 18 yr old cat- Betelgeuse. I have experience with many different breeds of dogs, am comfortable with medication management and am very reliable. I work Monday-Thursday from 730-5pm. I am available all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday for pet care and can be available in the early morning and evenings during the week. I will care for your pets as if they were my own. If caring for a pet outside my home, I am fastidious with details, safety oriented, and believe that exercise and attention is necessary to help reduce anxiety when a pet’s main caregiver is absent. If you are looking to board your pet in my home, I have a fenced in yard and three fur babies to keep your baby company (my cat does not go outside or really interact with dogs) Can crate upon request. I prefer to care for fur babies in their own homes initially- I have a small baby at home so I am selective as to who comes to my home.

About: I’ve owned dogs most of my life and raised two wonderful lab puppies. I’ve cared for friend’s and family’s animals and have a calm patient approach to animal care. I’ve even had hamsters and chickens. I’m currently establishing a homestead with my two cats and ten chickens and working part time. I’m looking forward to growing my animal flock further in the next few years. Safety is my first priority so I make sure that I understand your animal’s needs and tendencies before coming in or out. Once I’m sure we are safe then it’s time to have fun in whatever way your pet likes. Some want a comfy snuggle and some need to work off some energy. I’m there for them.
