“We needed care for our almost 13 year old quirky dog, Lucy for a week while we traveled to Michigan to be with my mom while she had major surgery/recovery. I found Debbie on Rover and contacted her regarding boarding Lucy while we were gone. On the phone, I immediately felt comfortable with Debbie. We chatted for 15-20 minutes and I told her all of Lucy's "quirks." She invited us over for a meet and greet right away to ensure Lucy (and us) felt comfortable. Our Lucy has been recovering from a leg injury and also has been a VERY picky eater. Therefore we needed someone that would be very patient with her. Debbie and her family were amazing. Debbie and her husband were able to get Lucy to eat regularly and also take her vitamins! This has been a feat for us let me tell you! They even taught me a couple tricks to get Lucy to eat her vitamins! And since Lucy has come home, she has been so much better with her eating and her leg as well! I couldn’t be more happy ? We received updates every single day...and Debbie took so many beautiful photos of Lucy. She really has a talent for photography! I never had to worry for a minute about Lucy. She was spoiled rotten by Debbie and her family. We cannot express how grateful we are to have found Debbie and her family.”

About: I have experience in cat sitting with clients, some of them had anxious cats that were more on the spicy side. I gained their trust and surprised their owners when they found out how close and cuddly they got with me, that's my quality. I don't expect every cat to open all of their boundaries and I respect doing what they want. 😸 I am known to socialize with the cats outside of just feeding them and cleaning their litterbox. I have had 3 cats of my own, 2 which have been elderly cats who needed medicine and careful care. 💊 I am very good at administering meds and staying consistent. I have had two dogs which both crossed the rainbow bridge from elderly age (a malamute and a newfoundland). I am an equal cat and dog lover! I would love to have a dog again one day. I walk with a cane so I am comfortable walking small dogs. 🐶 I have a very flexible schedule since I work from home. I can stop by any time in the mornings, afternoons, and also early evenings. When going to a client's home, I am very careful when entering and exiting the home when the door opens. I also do a head count of any cats including my own before leaving a house. I know from my own pet that they like to get curious and can suddenly go into a bathroom or closet and can get closed in. Just like my teaching days - taking head counts is important! I also watch the pets as they eat especially if there are multiple in a house so that they don't overeat by sneaking snacks from their pet buddies food.

About: My husband I both grew up with golden retrievers and have a soft spot for them. When I was first out on my own and bought my first home, I rescued a pit bull and she was with me until she passed. My husband, sons and I are all dog lovers and would love to welcome your dog into our home. My husband is home full time and I work from home and we are anxious to care for your pet! We have 2 sons - ages 6 and 10, so kid-friendly dogs are a must. We are available any day of the week at any time, unless we have something specific planned (which is not often). Please feel free to ask about specific dates and times and I will be sure to add you to my calendar! My husband is home full time and I work from home so we have ample amounts of time to care for your pet. My 2 sons LOVE dogs and love to play and take dogs on walks. Our yard is unfenced, per our HOA rules so your pet will always be on a leash for potty breaks and walks around the neighborhood. Pets are free to explore the entire home and will not be crated or gated, unless a crate is provided and requested.

About: Since the day I was born, I have lived in a home with numerous types of pets. I have had puppies since the day they came home at eight weeks old, and I have been there to hold their hand when they had left this earth; not only have I seen all stages of life, I have helped take care of them until they are very last breath. My passion is truly to care for others and that also includes animals. Currently, I have two large dogs in my home which we have trained from day one and they are the most loving sweet dogs. I try to take my own animals out as much as I can so they can get their energy spent so they aren't stuck inside all day.
About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life—over 33 years of experience as a dedicated pet parent to dogs, cats, and even crabs and lizards. I work full-time but have a very pet-friendly schedule! From Monday to Wednesday, I work a regular 8–5 schedule outside the home, but I always come home mid-day for a full hour-long lunch break to let pets out, go for a walk, or give them some love and attention. I make sure their needs are met and they’re never left alone for too long. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. In my home, we have a cozy and pet-friendly environment with a small fenced-in yard perfect for safe outdoor play. I share my home with two friendly dogs, a sweet cat, an animal-loving teenager, and my equally pet-obsessed boyfriend—so your furry friend will never be short on attention or companionship. Whether your pet prefers quiet spaces or social time, I can easily adjust the environment. Rooms can be closed off for privacy or opened up for free roaming, depending on your pet’s personality and needs. About: I've taken care of pets from as earliest as birth and into their elderly years, since I was 8. My family would occasionally breed our American Akitas. I've trained them, bathed them, cleaned up after them, and administered medications. They are a ton of work, but always worth the effort when we saw them finally meet their forever homes. I am available for whatever service you need, except for boarding, most days of the week except Thursdays after 2 pm, Fridays, and Saturdays before 2 pm. I am unable to care for your pet at my residence. We have 5 dogs here currently and I wouldn't want to overwhelm your pet with so many new faces. I am more than willing to be as accommodating as needed to care for them in your home, walking them, or simply letting out for a potty break.
About: I have been working in the pet industy for 10 years and I am pet CPR certified. I have taken care care of pups of all ages, all different kinds of animals, and have had many pets of my own. I currently work at a restaurant so may be gone here and there. My pups are home for you friend to have some company while I'm gone! I do not have a fenced in yard, but can leash walk anywhere. Pets can free roam inside my house, otherwise I can care for pets in their own space.
About: I’ve had pets especially dogs all my life. I’ve taken care of other dog for two weeks. I’m currently having two cats living with us. Pets are best thing to have! I’m currently working on call as substitute teacher. So I’d thought I could work on days I’m available to look after pets, dogs or cats. Take dogs for walk and feeding if need to. I have a backyard but not fenced. But take walk if need. Play with ball or toys. Giving lots of cuddles. Important making them feel comfortable and safe.
About: I grew up with a sweet smooth collie and helped take care of her throughout my childhood. These days I take care of friends and families dogs while they go on vacation or just need a quick sitter for the day/night. I also have a pet chinchilla, Cheaches, that I take care of everyday :) I'm a elementary teacher, so my availability during the summer is very open. I plan to be home full time most days but things do come up. If I need to be away I will always prioritize coming back to care for the pets. I'm very comfortable with all dogs no matter the size or breed. I have handled a variety of dogs from timid to major explorers. Any instructions given to me I will happily follow. I have always had a easy time connecting with dogs! They are truly mans best friend and I understand just how much they mean to their families :)

“We needed care for our almost 13 year old quirky dog, Lucy for a week while we traveled to Michigan to be with my mom while she had major surgery/recovery. I broke my tibia and fibula back in July and it’s been hard handling an 100+ pound German Shepherd so I was nervous about leaving him with other people, but I was so wrong. In these few days Jill has helped him calm down and just slow down in general. I was able to walk him for the first time in 6 months because of her. It’s like I have a new dog, I cried lol. I can’t believe how above and beyond she went.
