About: I don’t have any professional experience yet, but I’ve spent years walking and caring for a reactive pit bull. He has taught me how to read animal body language, and how to respond to it when he is uncomfortable or nervous. I am currently working part time. I am available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Friday and Saturdays after 4 PM. Thursdays and Sunday I am available all day. I usually have the first and last Saturday of every month off, so I am available all day. I do work at a restaurant so there is a chance my schedule could change. In between that, I've pet sat for several family members and friends. I work full time as a second shift (3:00 pm - 11pm) 911 dispatcher. I'd love to do some evening or early morning walks to start and would like to expand into pet sitting as my schedule allows. I have preference to pet sitting at the clients home because my roommates dog is a bit fickle on who she gets along with. Plus I own a cat and I know not every dog likes cats. As a pet sitter, I intend to take your dog for regular walks in addition to normal outside play time. I can work with your dog on any ongoing training you have with them.

I am just as comfortable being outside with a Great Dane as I am being indoor with a five pound cat. I have a plethora of experience walking all sizes and breeds of dogs as well. I have no problem taking a leisure walk in the park or going for a run with dogs that want to try to keep up. I have been to multiple different dog training classes with my own dog. For dogs that are interested in staying at my house I have plenty of space in my home and in my yard to run around and have a blast. “We are looking to find someone to board Ollie with for weekends. To start him out slow (he has separation anxiety), we had a Meet and Greet, a short (3hr) stay and later, a full day stay. Julie was clear that her dog Zilla's comfort with Ollie was a priority, which I fully support. I won't want to trust my dog to someone who isn't looking out for ALL the dogs involved. Julie was very responsive with messages, showed us around her home and yard and was generally very calm and patient. While the dogs didn't end up getting along well enough for this to work out long term, Ollie warmed up to Julie and was definitely as calm as I've seen him after being left.”

I'm happy to accommodate feeding, playtime, walks, and any other specific requirements your pet may need! Plenty of summer availability! About: I’ve grown up in a household that has always had at least two dogs, usually 3. We also have 3 indoor-outdoor cats. I am now a student at UW Madison, and I have a 5yr old heeler shepherd mix. Throughout her life I have trained her for obedience and herding, and have dealt with low confidence and reactivity with her daily. I am experienced with dogs who are shy and tend to be reactive. I have a part time internship at UW Madison, so I have partially and completely free days every week. That being said, I will have plenty of time to make house visits around this schedule. I have experience training dogs and love hanging out with any breed of dog. I believe dogs need both mental and physical stimulation in order to be fulfilled.

“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. About: I have been a dog momma and lover for years. They are my world and I am theirs. Yours will be taken care of at the same level I care for my own! I am sincerely drawn to dogs when I see them. They've got so much love and joy to offer this world, how could you not? I have 3 labs currently and have trained all of my dogs from babies on up. We have almost always maintained a 3 dog household, they get walks everyday so long as the weather permits and plenty of playtime. Rest assured, your pup will be taken care of in the same respect and manner as I care for my own. I work from home so can make time for lunch time appointments if close enough to my home, I work until 5 so can be available in the evenings until 9pm, except for Wednesdays I have volleyball either at 6:30 or 7:30, but can still make appointments work in there. Also around most weekends except for family events here and there and two vacations we take a year. :) I protect them with my life. I love my babies so deeply and am so thankful I work from home so I get to be with them everyday. Yours will be treated no different. Dogs have so much love and joy to offer the world and they only deserve the same in return.
