About: My dog Fletcher and I would love company while I work from home. I love dogs and have the flexibility to go on walks and play outside during the day! I’m currently a student at KU so I have plenty of flexibility between classes and my part time job. I’m most available on weekends but also random times through out the day. I will be sure to know the surrounding of client’s homes in order to keep track of pets and understand where they are allowed to go. I want to ensure safety of clients pets.

About: I was raised by serious dog people, so I never expected to become a cat person — but cats had other plans. 😂 I started working with cats in shelters in 2019, and I've been learning their personalities and quirks ever since. I now have three cats of my own, so I've experienced firsthand that cats each have their own very different way of communicating, showing affection, and deciding whether they approve of you. Shelter experience also taught me to be patient and let cats come to me on their own terms. Some want attention immediately, some need a little space, and some will make you work for their approval. About: I have experience with cats of all walks of life, shy independent cats, social snuggle bugs, and even the cats who don't exactly appreciate the work I put in, all our feline friends deserve confident and dependable care no matter their lifestyle. My husband is allergic to cats, so we can't have any of our own. Getting to hang out with yours for the weekend, in whatever capacity, is something special I get to look forward to.
“I cannot say enough about Heather and Alex. This was the first time I had to leave my cat, Pinky, for two weeks and I was nervous. Most other 'in-home' boarders that take cats, have cats of their own, which presented a problem for me as Pink doesn't really get along with other cats. She's been declawed and I was worried that in a house with a bunch of other cats, she'd be bullied:( But Heather and Alex only commit to one Rover boarder at a time. They work from home and so one or the other of them is almost always there. Their home is spacious, clean and has a lovely large screened in area, which my girl loved. They sent plenty of updates with pictures and videos. In fact Pink looked so comfortable, I was actually getting jealous. I love going out in the yard and playing with the dogs. Our fenced in yard makes it so easy to bring them out back and throw the ball around. When your pets stay with me I know how hard it can be being away, but I will provide constant photos, videos, and updates to help you feel comfortable while you are apart. I can’t wait to meet your fur babies and give them a great time during their stay. I work from home, so you can feel comfortable your pets will get constant care and attention throughout the day. The dogs get outside at 7:00am to start the day and will get walks / playtime in the yard minimum every 2 hours. We have a great neighborhood for long walks and a pretty big yard for running and playing. The dogs will be let outside for the last time around 10:00pm before winding down for bed. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for play. I have 1 dog and 1 cat, both are good with other dogs and cats. My dog is a 2 year old male golden retriever. He truly is the happiest dog and loves to meet new friends. Every pet that stays with us will be treated as one of our own and will have a great experience.

I know how deserving of love every animal is, and I will do everything in my power to make your pets happy. I recently lost my job, so I currently have a very open schedule! I do have a couple of established clients outside of Rover, but my schedule is still very flexible. I live in a condo-style apartment, so although I do not have a yard, I go on many walks each day- whether around my neighborhood or by driving to a park or beach. I also live just down the street from a dog park, for pups who enjoy socialization and time off-leash. Additionally, I have a patio space for pups who enjoy hanging out al fresco when the weather allows. My own pup is a bit of an escape artist, so I am extra careful with doors, gates, and secure leashing practices. I am also aware of how curious dogs can be, so in my home you can be sure of a safe environment where there are no dangers within a dog's reach (or jump). Not only do I treat your pets with love and respect, but I treat your home with the same care. About: No kids or pets of my own and a big Jeep means my outdoorsy lifestyle is open and flexible for your fur babies. I'm experienced with dogs from all walks of life. You name it, I'm down for it. I have confident experience with reactive dogs and big breeds especially. I'm a part time barista, working mostly evenings, so morning and mid-day walks work best for me. I am available for night walks after work as well, if that works for your schedule. Weekend boarding is best with advance notice, as I occasionally pick up Friday and Saturday shifts at the coffee shop. I live on the second floor with access to a fenced in backyard. Hardwood floors in home. No kids or other pets of my own. I do have houseplants if your dog is sensitive to soils, fungus, or has a history of plant eating. About: I've been around dogs my entire life — in 28 years, there have only been 7 days I've lived without one! I grew up in a home with five dogs, including four Bernese Mountain Dogs and a Sheltie. My family also responsibly bred Berners and Shelties, and I grew up around training, proper care, and learning to understand each dog's individual personality. About: My dog Fletcher and I would love company while I work from home. I love dogs and have the flexibility to go on walks and play outside during the day! I’m currently a student at KU so I have plenty of flexibility between classes and my part time job. I’m most available on weekends but also random times through out the day. I will be sure to know the surrounding of client’s homes in order to keep track of pets and understand where they are allowed to go. I want to ensure safety of clients pets.

About: I've been around dogs my entire life — in 28 years, there have only been 7 days I've lived without one! I grew up in a home with five dogs, including four Bernese Mountain Dogs and a Sheltie. My family also responsibly bred Berners and Shelties, and I grew up around training, proper care, and learning to understand each dog's individual personality. Today, my own dog is still a huge part of my life. I also prepare homemade food for my dog and have learned a lot through that experience about paying attention to ingredients, sensitivities, age, energy levels, and individual needs. If your dog has a unique routine, dietary preferences, or special considerations, I'm happy to listen and follow the routine you've established for them. I'm comfortable with dogs of different ages, personalities, routines, and needs, and I believe patience and consistency go a long way. Most importantly, I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. I treat every dog like they're part of the family — with plenty of attention, patience, playtime, and care while you're away. 🐾 Pets are already a big part of my everyday life. I have always had dogs and currently have three cats of my own, so feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning, and keeping up with their routines are naturally part of my day. I’m also intentional about making time for the pets I care for. I’d rather give a pet my full attention than simply “check a box” and leave. I’m happy to work around their normal routine and give them the consistency they’re used to while their family is away. 🐾 I start by learning your pet’s normal routine — feeding times, walks, medications, favorite activities, boundaries, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable. Then I stick to those instructions as closely as possible. I believe good pet care is about paying attention to the little things. I watch for changes in appetite, energy, behavior, bathroom habits, or anything else that seems unusual, and I’ll communicate with you if I notice something worth knowing about. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel safe and comfortable, not like their routine has suddenly been turned upside down. Whether they want a long walk and lots of playtime or prefer to curl up somewhere quiet, I’ll meet them where they are. 🐶🐱
