“I cannot say enough about Heather and Alex. This was the first time I had to leave my cat, Pinky, for two weeks and I was nervous. Most other 'in-home' boarders that take cats, have cats of their own, which presented a problem for me as Pink doesn't really get along with other cats. She's been declawed and I was worried that in a house with a bunch of other cats, she'd be bullied:( But Heather and Alex only commit to one Rover boarder at a time. They work from home and so one or the other of them is almost always there. Their home is spacious, clean and has a lovely large screened in area, which my girl loved. They sent plenty of updates with pictures and videos. In fact Pink looked so comfortable, I was actually getting jealous. About: I owned a dog growing up and cared for and trained one with my family. I sit for friends and family from time to time and I love to play and take dogs for walks and, if they are able, runs of up to a few miles! I have a fenced in yard, and my kids (4, 8) are also great with animals. I work from home. With the exception of rare travel days, school drop-offs, and evening events, I will always be around the house to care for your pup. I always carry a mini journal and pen around with me to jot down notes or things I need to remember, especially if there are specific instructions, like dietary or playtime needs for pets. I usually am the one who takes my family dog for a walk every day since I'm the only one in my family who has the most amount of free time on their hands. If I ever dog sat for a friend's pet in my home, I usually don't really change my routine but add the necessary care requirements for both dogs. When I'm staying over at a friend's or family member's house while watching their pet, I still do a similar routine when I'm at home, but I stay on high alert and make sure I don't leave snacks or anything I bring anywhere the dog can reach.

I am currently a substitute teacher with the summer off so I can provide pop in visits throughout the week as well as the weekends! Safety of pets is my number one priority with your pets as well as my own. I will always care for your pet like they are my own when I am with them to ensure they have adequate care. I will get to know your pet and notice when things may seem off if they aren’t feeling well. I also maintain safety when walking with your pet and making sure to learn their temperament before walks as well.
About: i've taken care of cat's & dog's of every kind since i was 16. neighbors and family's pets! feed and bathe them walk them and play with them all day/night. i'm currently looking for a full-time job and this works out great for me! i just have two cats that i will have to put away. how i care for my pets at my home it goes like this i make sure nothing bad is on the floor so they can eat or sniff it i put there food/water bowls in different rooms or areas in the house so other animals wont eat the other pets food. and i give all pets love 24/7 of the day and hour
