“I cannot say enough about Heather and Alex. This was the first time I had to leave my cat, Pinky, for two weeks and I was nervous. Most other 'in-home' boarders that take cats, have cats of their own, which presented a problem for me as Pink doesn't really get along with other cats. She's been declawed and I was worried that in a house with a bunch of other cats, she'd be bullied:( But Heather and Alex only commit to one Rover boarder at a time. They work from home and so one or the other of them is almost always there. Their home is spacious, clean and has a lovely large screened in area, which my girl loved. They sent plenty of updates with pictures and videos. In fact Pink looked so comfortable, I was actually getting jealous. About: I love dogs and animals - they really are the best! I have owned three for many years, raising two from being puppies, and addressing challenging behavior with an older doggo, in addition to fostering multiple rescue dogs. I recently moved to WI and figured I’d give my fur baby some friends to hang with. I am happy to work with you on what’s best, whether that is house sitting, boarding, or simply letting your animals out on walks or to go potty. Let’s chat! I currently work from home and have a remote job, so can provide your dog with any needs or attention that makes sense based on their schedule. I have some in-person meetings that occur throughout the week, and am generally around on the weekends regularly. If planning on boarding or daycare, I now live in a home with a nice backyard. I can easily crate, take out for potty breaks, etc. I am also mindful of dog reactivity regardless of my own or neighbor’s dogs.

About: I have had dogs of my own since I was 9 years old. I LOVE dogs--especially small ones! I have trained all of my dogs. I board friends' dogs in my home all the time, and am now excited to move into boarding strangers' dogs here on Rover! I work full-time, a mix of in-office and at home. I work from home on Thursdays and have flexibility on Fridays, so it works best for me to be able to provide boarding on long weekends (Thursday-Sunday). I am happy to provide your pet with seamless care and match what they are used to in your home. I have a large yard and a quiet neighborhood. My home has many rooms and I have some gates so that I can separate pets if needed. I also have a puppy play pen for smaller/younger pups who need their own space.

I sit for friends and family from time to time and I love to play and take dogs for walks and, if they are able, runs of up to a few miles! I have a fenced in yard, and my kids (4, 8) are also great with animals. I work from home. With the exception of rare travel days, school drop-offs, and evening events, I will always be around the house to care for your pup. I had a beagle with me for 15 years and he was on various medications as he aged so I know how to administer medications if needed. I see pets as members of the family. I have 2 dogs...a terrier and a mini poodle. I love them to pieces and they run the house! Lol. They are well behaved and allowed on the furniture and the bed. I take my pups out every morning for a short walk, after work, and just before bed time. I live close to 3 different parks as well as the Menomonee River Parkway....lots of space to walk with them and let them sniff away!
