She was super accommodating and helpful, taking him in just hours after us contacting her very last minute while stressed trying to figure out what to do with him. Taking in his “puppy shenanigans” and all like he was one of her own. Amber made sure to keep me updated about how his was doing helping to ease my mind of having him away from home for the first time. Sending me pictures/videos and messages about how his day was going. She also took the time to make sure that my pup was comfortable and entertained. Taking him on walks and being able to run around and play in the yard. Letting him go at his own pace and doing what made him feel safe when he didn’t like the rain or was was scared by her dog at first (he wasn’t the biggest one around anymore and couldn’t terrorize/annoy every living thing like he normally likes to do). She even went the extra mile to wash his bed after an accident over night and have him and all of his stuff packed up nicely and ready to go for me when I got there. My little boy loved playing with her and her family. And having the other dogs around for him to interact with was a bonus. When I tell you he was so excited when he first met them that I didn’t even get a second look over the shoulder or a goodbye before he took off to play with one of the kids ? (I’m still emotionally processing his betrayal ?). I could not recommend Amber enough! Your pet will be greatly taken care of (Not to mention worn out….he’s been napping since the moment we put him in the car) and all of your worries will fade the moment you get there.”

They welcomed him in and he immediately knew he was staying with them. He looked back with hesitation as I left him in the arms of 6 petting hands. About: I've always been a huge dog lover, tried to take in every stray as a kid, I grew up around dogs like basset hounds, Labradors, poodles and beagles. I've dog sat for boxers who think they're lap dogs, I've sat for younger pups, middle aged dogs, senior dogs, small dogs and big dogs! I go on frequent walks, play tug a war, play fetch, snuggles and affection. Give dogs medication if they need it, whatever makes the dogs happy! I'm very fond of cats as well I love all the different cat personalities and just being able to have some calm moments and snuggle with them. I'm a wife, mom and accountant by day but Thursday-Sunday I have more flexibility to soak up extra pet snuggles. Watching other people's precious pups/cats allows me more animal loving time. I treat all pets just like I would my own pup or kitty cat lots of snuggles, a few treats, safe walks making sure harnesses or leashes are properly worn and make sure they are always in a safe environment.
About: I have taken care of cats since I was 9 or 10. My first cat had kittens, and I kept them all. I have watched my neighbor's cats while she was away, ensuring the litter box was clean, providing them with food and water, and playing with their toys or just cuddling with them depending on their mood. About: I have been an animal lover ever since I can remember! I worked at Sondel Family Vet & absolutely loved it! I had to unfortunately leave due to having my first child. I always enjoyed spending my days interacting with owners and their pets to make sure they were provided with the best care (While also giving them extra love.) I have also had many pets throughout my life; including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & bearded dragons. I even recently fostered my first dog who got adopted a few weeks after I took her in! I have worked on farms with cattle & have also taken many equine classes at UW-Madison. So yes, I have quite an extensive resume working with animals! Our evenings & weekends are usually always open. I am a student on break until January 20th. I also work in the evening, but am willing to schedule around this time! Nothing is too much of an ask for your babies! About: I'm currently in a pet-free home with my kiddos and have lived with dogs for much of my adult life. I'm a massage therapist and love giving pups a little TLC with energy therapy and light massage. They love it! The dog you see in my thumbnail photo is KC. She was a rescue dog who was with us for six years and needed lots of training, support and care. Please note I take 3 walking clients per day but only 1 boarder at a time. I teach at a technical college and am a personal trainer, working part-time from home and part-time out of the home. I'm often home for long hours during the day. My three kids are in public school, so dogs may have 1 to 4 dog-lovers in the home after 4pm. I also can give any puppers bath if need be. I also have experience with cats and many other small animals. I am free all week as I stay home with my 4 kiddos. About: I have a big heart for all animals. You can count on your dog/cat provided with genuine care and attention. Since starting Rover, I have come in contact with all types of furry friends, all of them being great experiences. Whether your fur baby likes long walks, quick runs, or is a couch potato, I will fit to all of the needs and wants. I would love nothing more than to be able to help another during a busy week/weekend, or just a busy life. When it comes to availability, I work very well on a schedule - as well as being able to have flexibility. I am off every weekend and Monday, with lots of random days off here and there. I can also make time before or after work. I can promise your fur babies will be treated with more than enough attention, love and respect. I am a part time worker in Portage, Wi. I work (typically) Tuesday - Friday but take quite a bit of work off, when given the opportunity, to spend time at home with my toddler. We are in the works of getting a fence around our yard and hope to have once come fall of 2025. My pets are my children. They are spoiled and loved deeply. We have a long yard leash that our puppy uses as well as constant supervision when outdoors.
About: I've taken care of dogs and all sorts of pets while growing up on a farm. I've also been both an overnight house sitter and dog groomer for a professional dog breeder. I do not currently have dogs with me since I’m a student but I have plenty of long breaks throughout the day as well as non-eventful nights which gives me plenty of time for pet care. Back home, I would do my farm chores and care for my animals twice a day on average but I also like to spend some extra time out there most days. I always like being aware of rules and boundaries, especially when I’m in someone else’s space and would 100% respect the home, including the pets. I also think it’s important to clean up any sort of mess made and to be very open if something were to happen at any point in time.
About: I've always been a huge dog lover, tried to take in every stray as a kid, I grew up around dogs like basset hounds, Labradors, poodles and beagles. I've dog sat for boxers who think they're lap dogs, I've sat for younger pups, middle aged dogs, senior dogs, small dogs and big dogs! I go on frequent walks, play tug a war, play fetch, snuggles and affection. Give dogs medication if they need it, whatever makes the dogs happy! I'm very fond of cats as well I love all the different cat personalities and just being able to have some calm moments and snuggle with them. I'm a wife, mom and accountant by day but Thursday-Sunday I have more flexibility to soak up extra pet snuggles. Watching other people's precious pups/cats allows me more animal loving time. I treat all pets just like I would my own pup or kitty cat lots of snuggles, a few treats, safe walks making sure harnesses or leashes are properly worn and make sure they are always in a safe environment.

About: I have experience with a lot of Senior Dogs and with middle age as well. I'm a very out going person and enjoy all types of pets and animals. My schedule is pretty open I would like to do this like 25 to 30 hours per week. I can any time of the day or night. I care for my pets in their environment by giving them a lot of dog watch and I have two cats and I even frequently walk them just to stretch their legs out.

She was super accommodating and helpful, taking him in just hours after us contacting her very last minute while stressed trying to figure out what to do with him. Taking in his “puppy shenanigans” and all like he was one of her own. Amber made sure to keep me updated about how his was doing helping to ease my mind of having him away from home for the first time. Sending me pictures/videos and messages about how his day was going. She also took the time to make sure that my pup was comfortable and entertained. Taking him on walks and being able to run around and play in the yard. Letting him go at his own pace and doing what made him feel safe when he didn’t like the rain or was was scared by her dog at first (he wasn’t the biggest one around anymore and couldn’t terrorize/annoy every living thing like he normally likes to do). She even went the extra mile to wash his bed after an accident over night and have him and all of his stuff packed up nicely and ready to go for me when I got there. My little boy loved playing with her and her family. And having the other dogs around for him to interact with was a bonus. When I tell you he was so excited when he first met them that I didn’t even get a second look over the shoulder or a goodbye before he took off to play with one of the kids ? (I’m still emotionally processing his betrayal ?). I could not recommend Amber enough! Your pet will be greatly taken care of (Not to mention worn out….he’s been napping since the moment we put him in the car) and all of your worries will fade the moment you get there.”

About: I am a huge dog lover. I love all kinds of dogs and have grown up with all different kinds of dogs of varying size and temperment. My family has had 2 havanese dogs and 2 newfoundlands so I have experience with a variety of sizes. Recently, I lost my soul dog, Max. Max was a shepherd mix and was my whole world. My husband and I had Max since he was a puppy and are looking to get our dog fix by helping out others. We understand the stress finding care for your dog can create, and we would love to help provide a safe and fun environment for your dog when you need it. We have a large yard (unfenced) and safe neighborhood for walks. We also have 2 children, aged 5 and 3. I am a stay at home mom, so I am available most of the time from home any given week. I have 2 children, aged 5 and 3, and they would love to help care for and love on a doggy. I have a large, unfenced yard in a quiet, safe, and dog friendly neighborhood. Our dog Max was always free to run around the yard without any issues. Dogs are allowed inside, on our furniture and I still have Max’s dog bed for use as well. I am also happy to pop in by your house to walk your dog if that’s needed.
