About: I've cared for cats for over three years and have hosted more than 10 for boarding and drop-in visits. Cats are what I know best, and most of what I've learned comes down to one thing: not rushing them. What I do differently is give every boarding guest their own private room to start. New places are genuinely stressful for cats, so your cat arrives to a quiet space with food, water, litter, hiding spots, and no pressure to interact with anyone. I visit in short, calm sessions so they get used to me on their own terms. Most cats relax within 3–7 days, but I go at each cat's pace rather than a schedule. I live in a large single-family home with two resident cats (both 2+) and a friendly 2-year-old dog. All three are calm and used to guests. If you'd like your cat to have company, I can introduce them gradually once your cat is settled — several guests have ended up genuinely comfortable around my pets by the end of their stay. If you'd rather your cat keep their own space the entire time, that's just as welcome. I'm patient with shy and slow-to-warm cats, and I pay close attention to the things that signal a problem early — appetite, litter box habits, hiding more than usual. About: Growing up, we had six cats total, and my parents still have our oldest, Sugar, who's thriving at 20 years old! She manages hyperthyroidism, severe arthritis pain, and some stomach issues that require steroids. Her care routine includes topical pain and thyroid medication twice daily, plus oral steroids. She lives with my parents, but I regularly look after her when they travel. Two summers ago, I also cat sat for three weeks for a family with 10 cats, easily one of my favorite pet sitting experiences! Two of them needed extra care: one was blind with some neurological disabilities, requiring a special diet and medication by syringe. The other, PipSqueak, was 22 years old and needed a special diet along with oral medication. Caring for 10 cats was a joyful challenge. My daily duties included cleaning three litter boxes 2–3 times a day, feeding twice daily, administering medication to the cats who needed it, and keeping a close eye on the ones prone to slipping out the door whenever it opened.

About: I have a dog of my own and I’ve done boarding, drop ins and walks before. I’ve grown up with dogs in the house and have watched family friends dogs numerous amounts of times. I currently work full time (8-4:30) during the week, but can do evenings on week days and any time during weekends! I am very flexible and can make anything work! I can abide by whatever schedules/routines you have in place. If your dog likes to socialize, my dog would be a great buddy! I understand dogs need to follow certain rules and need to be let out/fed in a timely manner.

About: Hi there! I moved to Fitchburg, WI in 2024 and I’m ready to start pet walking/sitting again. For years in Denver and Boulder, CO and in Lansing, MI, I helped neighbors exercise their dogs by either walking or running them while their owners were at work. For the super active dogs (for example, those who can run 4 min miles), I took them to the park to run while I kept up on roller blades. I've adopted overweight dogs and slowly trained them up to being able to hike two 14ers in a day! I'm also happy to help with simple drop in feedings and potty breaks if need be. If you're in the midst of an especially busy period at work, injured, or going out of town, I'm happy to help out with your pets. I welcome small, big, special needs, overweight, mutts, 'bully' breeds, and everything in between-I love them all. I also have two cats so I’m happy to help check in on your feline friends too. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to accommodate pet care throughout the week. I keep my Rover calendar updated regularly so that my availability is ans accurate as possible. Currently I don’t have the space to sit your dog or cat at my house but I’m happy to go check in on them at your place once or twice (or even 3x) a day as needed. About: We are a family of four that wants to get a dog some day when our children are a bit older. We have two daughters aged 9 and 5. We love to do dog sitting so we can still enjoy a dog in our home. I am a high school teacher and my wife stays home 3 out of 5 days/week with our two young daughters. My wife grew up with Labradors and I grew up with Maltese and Terriers. We cannot wait to have our own dog again. Will your dog be the one to convince us of what type of dog we want for our family? Because we do not currently have a dog and only take one dog at a time, your dog will be very well cared for and receive tons of attention and affection! **once in awhile, we may have two bookings that overlap slightly depending on pick-up/drop-off times, but if that happens we will communicate that with you! My wife is home Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with our daughters. On Mondays and Tuesdays, we are gone from 8:30-4:00. If that is too long of a period for your dog to go without a potty break please let us know! I am a teacher at Memorial highschool (just 5 mins from our home) and can easily come home during my lunch break for a quick dog walk! We have a fenced in yard for your dog to explore. Otherwise, we will let your dog roam anywhere in the house! If needed, we have baby gates and are able to section off parts of our home.

“Meta is a fantastic dog sitter! We boarded our high energy husky/lab with her over a long weekend and could not have felt more comfortable and confident in his stay. Meta has a clean quiet house in a safe neighborhood and has a kind, professional, and calm presence. She was thoughtful in her questions to make sure they had a good weekend together. She gave us updates with photos to check in through the weekend and managed to give our pup plenty of exercise with walks, runs, and a playdate while also plenty of relax and cuddle time during the workday and at night. So grateful we were able to connect with Meta to take care of our pup and will definitely be hoping to rebook at some point in the future!”

About: I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had experience with animals of all kinds and learned early on that every animal has their own personality, needs, and quirks! Whether your dog needs a long walk, some extra playtime, medication reminders, or just someone to keep them company, I’m happy to help. I’m also comfortable with puppies, energetic dogs, and senior pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and keep you updated while you’re away. I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and can give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. Also at my fiance’s flower shop pets are welcome, so I’m often around animals even when I’m not at home. This makes it easy for me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. I work from home, so they’ll have plenty of company throughout the day, along with walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I grew up on a farm around all kinds of animals, and I really enjoy having pets around. I’m happy to let them settle into their own routine, whether that means playing fetch all afternoon, curling up on the couch, or taking a nice long nap. I’ll follow any instructions you leave and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with us.
