I have more than 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs and have also fostered dogs for rescue. I especially love caring for small breeds, senior dogs, shy or sensitive dogs, and dogs who may feel overwhelmed in a traditional kennel or busy multi-dog boarding environment. My home has a securely fenced yard for potty breaks and outdoor time, and dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable here—including on the furniture and in bed if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including meals, walks, sleeping arrangements, and all those little things that help them feel secure. Your dog won’t be placed into a group of unfamiliar boarding dogs. This is a quiet home environment rather than a kennel or doggy daycare. “Hazel stayed with Yoki and Derek for over a week and had a great time. I know that Hazel can be a handful and can demand a lot of attention at times. I felt like Yoki and Derek really understood Hazel’s needs and took very good care of her. I can tell that they treat all dogs in their care like family and that was wonderful to see. They are very generous and giving people. Their very big and spacious yard was great for Hazel to run around and play in. I also really appreciated the daily communication which was very important to me. I loved receiving videos, beautiful photos and updates on a daily basis and it gave me so much peace of mind and showed me that Hazel was well taken care of and was enjoying her stay. About: I’ve recently helped to take care of cats for family friends and coworkers. I helped to watch cats after they have had dental procedures by giving them soft foods and making sure the cats stay separated so they eat the correct food they need. About: My family and I truly enjoy watching other family’s animals. It allows us to help families not worry about their pets when they are not able to take care of them. I’m a full time teacher, so I have quite a bit of flexibilities during the summer time. I am available to board during the school year as well. I am available after 3:30 to tend to animals during the school year. I have a fenced in back yard and take our own dog for a walk daily. We have one dog, 2 cats, and one hamster. They are all very friendly.

About: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and have experience in pet sitting and the veterinary field for the past 20 years. I owned a pet sitting business for 5 years (2008 - 2012) and experience in general practice, emergency, specialty, and shelter medicine. Having a medical background allows me to pick up on medical issues and emergencies in a timely fashion, allowing for treatment if necessary. I am also able to administer medications as needed. I treat others' dogs the same way I treat my own pets and keep daily routines as close to their normal as much as possible. I work full time at a clinic and part time at the local humane society. I am available limited days during the week for walks and drop in services. Please see the calendar for up to date availability! I offer personalized, in-home boarding for dogs who do best in a calm, low-stress environment. I have no resident pets and board only one household at a time, so your dog gets plenty of individual attention without having to share their space with unfamiliar dogs. I have more than 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs and have also fostered dogs for rescue. I especially love caring for small breeds, senior dogs, shy or sensitive dogs, and dogs who may feel overwhelmed in a traditional kennel or busy multi-dog boarding environment. My home has a securely fenced yard for potty breaks and outdoor time, and dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable here—including on the furniture and in bed if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including meals, walks, sleeping arrangements, and all those little things that help them feel secure. Your dog won’t be placed into a group of unfamiliar boarding dogs. This is a quiet home environment rather than a kennel or doggy daycare. Small, senior & sensitive dogs welcome I have a special place in my heart for little dogs and seniors, but I’m happy to consider dogs of all sizes who are a good fit for my home. Safety First Dogs don’t need to enjoy playing or socializing with other dogs. However, they do need to be safely manageable if we unexpectedly encounter another dog during walks, drop-offs, or normal daily activities. For safety and insurance reasons, I cannot accept dogs with a known history of aggression, biting, or attacks toward people or other animals. Let’s make sure we’re a good match I would love to do a meet-and-greet with your dog. It’s a chance for me to get to know your dog, learn about their personality and routine, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before their stay. My goal is simple: while you’re away, I want your dog to feel like they’re staying at a friend’s house—not like they’re being sent to a boarding facility. ❤️ I currently work a full-time job Monday -Friday, 8:00 - 4:30. I’m a homebody type who would love just hanging out with your dog(s). I have a securely fenced yard and plenty of room in my house for your dog to be comfortable. Pets are family to me, so there’s no area of my house that’s off limits, including my furniture and bed.
“Hazel stayed with Yoki and Derek for over a week and had a great time. I know that Hazel can be a handful and can demand a lot of attention at times. I felt like Yoki and Derek really understood Hazel’s needs and took very good care of her. I can tell that they treat all dogs in their care like family and that was wonderful to see. They are very generous and giving people. Their very big and spacious yard was great for Hazel to run around and play in. I also really appreciated the daily communication which was very important to me. I loved receiving videos, beautiful photos and updates on a daily basis and it gave me so much peace of mind and showed me that Hazel was well taken care of and was enjoying her stay. I’m very appreciative to Yoki and Derek for their work especially since I know this is not always an easy job to do.”
