About: Hi! I am full-time teacher, part-time photographer, and a full-time dog mommy. I have had dogs as pets since I was about 10 years old. My family dogs became my responsibility when my parents went out of town (as I was the oldest). I love to go on walks, play fetch, and just about anything else that dogs love to do! About: I’m the type of person who goes to a party and makes friends with the dog. My friends know I’m around when they see a blanket covering up their sleeping pup. My family has nicknamed me dog girl because I take on the challenge of caring for all of them during family functions. I have experience with dogs who need medication, eye drops, ear drops, or who have health issues. I work from home so I am able to hangout with your pet all day! I have a very flexible work schedule if appointments are needed. I prefer to care for dogs in my home but can watch in your home, let out during the day, and check on your home if away. At my home I leash all pets when letting them out. Dogs are allowed on my furniture, I even have a chair next to my work desk incase they want to lounge around on the job.

In married life I had golden retriever and multiple Tri Shelties. Also have the pleasure of grand dogs to care for occasionally. My last Sheltie Cooper passed 10/2020 and I would love to care for your precious fur baby. I am an active retired female with lots of time & energy to care for your loved one. My hours are very open and I can be flexible with schedule I have a nice backyard with long leads/leash to connect pet indoors before letting out. Also very nice trail walks in area. I enjoy keeping your dog in good shape with a little exercise and a calm relaxing home to come back to
About: I’ve been in the healthcare field for over 5 years. My specialty is taking care of those who can’t take care of themselves. I’ve been a boarder and sitter with Wag for over three years and have had my own pups in the past before I enlisted active duty. Being able to care for pups gives me so much joy as a single woman with no children. I love to go on walks, dog parks and will make sure your pup gets all the care and attention he or she needs including giving meds if needed, bathing, and even mail clipping upon request. I currently work full time in the navy so I do most of my boarding on weekends but I do have a roommate that works an opposite shift and helps walk, play with, and take the pups to go potty when I’m at work throughout the day. I wake up early to let the pups out, and walk them either to the park or around the complex after work, set play dates (if the pup likes other doggies) and walk them and take them out before I go to bed as well. I have a very large open living room and solarium that allows the pups to have their own space to play and run around when it’s raining outside and the park is not optional for play time. I also have a large kitchen area with enough space for pet bowls and beds and I do allow the pups to sleep in the bed if they prefer. I do not have any safety concerns as my home is pup-proof. I take frequent potty breaks and am a light sleeper. Most pups I have boarded know how to let me know when they need to go outside, and for those who don’t, I go on a set schedule right after feedings and every few hours (2-4) depending on the pups age. More frequently if they are still potty training. I do take the dogs to the dog park for play time, exercise and activities.
About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages since I was in elementary school. I have had family dogs all my life and now I have 2 dogs of my own. I raised one as a puppy and then adopted his brother about 2 years later. Raising my dogs has educated me in all the needs a dog possibly needs from food/water to stimulation to exercise. I’m around many weekends so I have a lot of flexibility and open time to drop in and take care of your dog! Whether it’s taking them for longs walks or just hanging out and keeping them company. If my dogs could talk they would probably tell you they are the kings of the house. The dogs in my home are treated like humans. Nothing but the best. They are allowed on furniture, beds, toys are out all day long. Having very high energy dogs of my own, I often go on many walks and hikes all around the area.
About: I have had a love for dogs my entire life! I was blessed to grow up with the sweetest Black Lab and my family welcomed a toy poodle to our family when I was 12. In the last couple of years, the family dogs have gone from 2 to 6 with the addition of my in-laws. I am at my happiest when we are all in the same house, each of us with a dog on our lap or at our feet. I don't know what life is like without a dog in it! I lost my 4 year old mini dachshund unexpectedly in 2020. Since then my love for dogs has only grown. I would love to hangout with your furbaby! I currently work a hybrid schedule, working from home most days. My role allows me flexibility throughout the day. I would love to fit in a couple of dog walks and cuddles into my schedule. All dogs are part of the family in my home. I will never treat them differently. I grew up with runners, so have no fear that keeping your dogs safe and home is my number one priority.

“For a recent week - long vacation, we left our 3 year old golden doodle with Jeff. This was our first time using Rover and leaving her in someone else's home. After an initial meet and greet, we felt very comfortable with Jeff and Ember loved his fenced in yard. We liked the photo and written updates we received while vacationing. Jeff provided daily walks and outside time. He respected Ember's schedule and tried to maintain her schedule. In addition to our toys and treats, he also provided some. “What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. No pun. Ridiculous what you got to go through to board your dog these days. A few of my friends and customers recommended Rover. I went on there and checked it out. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet. I can really tell that she loves animals. Very cool chick too. Our dog was in good hands the couple days he was there. When we got him back, he was well rested, and had none of the anxiety boarding can bring on. It's great to know I have someone that I can rely on if we leave town for any reason to watch after our pooch. I couldn't recommend her anymore. Thank you!”
