About: I've been taking care of dogs on my own since middle school. We've always had a family dog in the household as well as friends and neighbors who would need help with their little ones. I have a BS in Animal Science, have worked as an emergency vet assistant/triage tech for the last 3 years, and have some professional dog training experience. About: I’m the type of person who goes to a party and makes friends with the dog. My friends know I’m around when they see a blanket covering up their sleeping pup. My family has nicknamed me dog girl because I take on the challenge of caring for all of them during family functions. I have experience with dogs who need medication, eye drops, ear drops, or who have health issues. I work from home so I am able to hangout with your pet all day! I have a very flexible work schedule if appointments are needed. I prefer to care for dogs in my home but can watch in your home, let out during the day, and check on your home if away. About: I have experience caring for animals of all kinds, though I can currently only offer in-my-home care to dogs. I have always had family pets growing up. I got my own dog when I was in high school. I currently own 2 well-mannered dogs, a hunting labrador and a scent detection pit-mix. I have more than 2 years of professional gun dog training experience, and have trained over 50 puppies/dogs. I currently work from home, so I will be able to accommodate any schedule your pet may need. My own dogs recieve 2 feedings per day (5am and 5pm). We often take a morning walk (typically no less than 1-2 miles, less if I am walking a young puppy or senior dog with mobility issues). Also evening walks if weather is appropriate. I do not allow my dogs to do strenuous activity or rough play right after a meal. The yard is not fenced, so dogs will be on leash or long-line and fully supervised when outside the home. For off-lead outdoor fun we will take trips to the local dog park (not a very heavily trafficed dog park, usually empty). I have experience providing oral and subcutaneous medication to pets, should your pet need medication while in my care.

I am a 4-H leader where I teach children how to train dogs and I help them show and prepare their animals at fair. I also show my own animals at the fair. I have everything needed in my home to take care of a dog including a kennel if needed as well as tie outs. We have a lake that is 5 minutes from our house and if your dog loves to swim, I would be happy to take them. I take my dogs all over in the summer and I would make sure your pet gets a lot of attention and exercise as well. Additionally, we have a huge barn and fenced in pasture as well as rabbit hutches in the barn and a chicken coop! Whatever animal you have they can be comfortable at my property. Additionally, if you feel better about your animal staying at home, I am happy to accommodate to that as well.

My biggest emphasis while pet sitting is keeping the pet parent daily informed with updates and pictures.
