“Mary does a great job caring for our dog, Baxter. Bax does not like every dog he meets, cannot be with cats, and cannot be with small kids. Mary's house is perfect for him. Mary sends us many pictures of Bax when we are away. She takes care of Bax like he is her own dog. Bax has a pill that he takes everyday, and Mary makes sure that he gets it. She is very flexible with drop off/pick up times too. Baxter is going to stay at Mary's house often!”

Some of the dogs I've sat for were show dogs or had health needs that required a strict routine, diet, or medication needs. While I used to be in the workforce I am home with two boys, they would be with me for any visits or walks so a somewhat kid friendly dog is needed. We used to have dogs of our own so they are both used to pups. This does make me super flexible and able to get up and go pretty quick. From a young age I was taught responsibility and discipline when it came to caring for tiny creatures. Additionally for over two years I volunteered weekly at a local animal shelter. During this time I gained knowledge as to how animals interacted with one another, how to properly administer medication, warning signs to look out for, what to do in emergencies, and deeply studied animal behavior. To add on to that I am currently employed at a doggie daycare. During my time here not only have I gotten to widen my horizons when it came to taking care of animals but I have learned hands on how to bandage a wound, what to do in animal confrontations as well as how to handle the unexpected such as sickness or seizures. Additionally over the last 3 years I have volunteered at different animal welfare programs across the globe. These include Portugal, Puerto Rico, Tanzania and soon Hawaii. During this time I have not only seen hands on other cultures way of taking care of animals but also gained knowledge as to how to better the animal care I provide to clients. As I previously stated I currently am employed at a doggie daycare. Additionally I work at a bakery as well. My schedule changes weekly so it can be hard to give an exact time frame when booking. Typically I work up to 8 hour shifts. I typically prefer to stay in clients homes to keep their pets safe and happy in their own environment. I will be there in the morning before work, and will immediately come back when I get off as well as being there at night. I try to spend as much time as possible with the pets while you are away I typically only offer staying in the clients home and I am comfortable crating animals while gone. I always keep things like medications safely out of reach and secured. Additionally upon booking I typically ask about any health notes, allergies, or special needs as well as a good contact number for your vet in case of emergency.

About: I have 10 years of experience caring for pets, including dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and love. Whether it’s energetic walks, playtime, or simply giving a dog some extra affection, I treat every pup like my own. I’m also comfortable with feeding routines, basic training, and caring for senior dogs or puppies I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for pets. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening walks throughout the week. I love being outdoors and can easily adjust my schedule to meet your dog’s needs I provide a safe and loving environment for every dog. Walks are always on a leash, and I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort. At home, I make sure pets have fresh water, a clean space, and plenty of attention. I can also follow any specific instructions you give to keep your dog’s routine consistent.
About: We have cared for dogs for many years. We have 2 acres of land for your furry friend to play on! We have a fenced in play area too. We also have goats and bunnies for the doggies to watch in their play area (no interaction). We hope you'll consider letting us make a new friend with your pup! We prefer to take additional dogs on weekends and during summer right now. We will consider longer stays, but work during the day, so your dog would need to be kenneled during this time Dogs are free to roam inside and outside during the day. Your dog will be supervised at all times. We prefer a crate at night for your dog, but can work around it if necessary!

About: Large yard and house, work from home and dog owner. He’s great with dogs, let me know if you need help. Plenty of attention to give. I work from home so I am attentive and able to be interactive at all times. I have a large yard but prefer to keep my dog leashed I have a 3 year old dog lab mix. He’s a baby but big. Great at dog parks and with other dogs, plenty of space.
