“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. About: Dogs may be my bread and butter at home, but I grew up with cats and have been caring for them for most of my life. My parents currently have four cats, and I’m their go-to sitter whenever they travel—so litter boxes, feeding routines, playtime, and feline personalities are all very familiar territory! Before moving to Wisconsin, I also owned and operated a dog walking and overnight pet-sitting business in Maryland for two years. Although dogs made up the majority of my clients, I provided in-home care for cats as well, typically including feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, and companionship. I live in a large apartment, so all outdoor time is supervised and on leash. I'm very comfortable with puppies and their extra needs, including frequent potty breaks, potty pads, crate training, and the general chaos that comes with puppyhood! I have extra crates that can accommodate dogs up to approximately 75–80 lbs, plus more dog beds and toys than any household probably needs. If your pet has food or environmental allergies, please let me know. I am very accustomed to managing allergies and am happy to follow specific instructions regarding food, treats, medications, or environmental triggers. Because your dog will share our home with my husband, middle-school-aged child, and our three resident dogs, dogs staying with us must be comfortable with older children, men, and other dogs. I take introductions and dog body language seriously and want every animal in the house—yours and mine—to feel safe and comfortable. While others do live in the home, I will be the caregiver for any other animals. For care in your home, I'll follow your lead. You know your pets and their routine best, and my goal is to keep things as familiar and consistent as possible while you're away. I'm also happy to care for more than just dogs during in-home visits—cats and other household pets are welcome, too! I treat every pet as if they were my own and doing everything I can to ensure their happiness. I am extremely flexible with regards to my schedule, and can be available for the most part of the day. I wake up early, so feeding and taking the animals for walk won't be a problem at all. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I value their safety, trust, and maintaining a calm and familiar environment for their pet. It is important for me to carefully follow all the instructions concerning their feeding schedule, treatment, taking medication, and other specific care. It goes without saying that I make sure that the pets receive proper meals and have clean water to drink. I also try to keep the house as clean as possible, including litter boxes for cats and any messes that may occur. I also observe the pets to ensure everything seems normal and they’re healthy. I believe that building trust with both pets and owners is essential, I’ll always provide them with updates and photographs about the current condition of the pets. My goal is to make sure their pet is cared for and mostly importantly happy.
About: I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, from very young to end of life care. Taking care of animals and bonding with them is such a special thing, and I would love to help aid dogs lives through proper exercise! Going into college in the fall and will have a part time job soon; I have plenty of free time to work around with and will be very flexible with my schedule. I currently have one cat (around 3) and one dog (around 10) who I love very much. My dog is getting a little too old to go on longer walks with me so I think this will be a great opportunity to help younger dogs get that exercise in. About: I have been taking care of animals ever since I was little, between dogs, cats, reptiles, and even farm animals such as dairy cows, pigs, goats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I can take care of pets at any time of day or night, and I can walk dogs after 4 pm. Tuesday & Thursday, I do have class from 7-10 am. “Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. But it was quickly apparent than Rona was confident and capable even with young and crazy dogs like Floyd. She always got back to me quickly and sent the cutest videos of them playing fetch, swimming, and hiking around. Her dogs are also great too! They helped Floyd play appropriately but still have fun.
