I have no resident pets and board only one household at a time, so your dog gets plenty of individual attention without having to share their space with unfamiliar dogs. I have more than 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs and have also fostered dogs for rescue. I especially love caring for small breeds, senior dogs, shy or sensitive dogs, and dogs who may feel overwhelmed in a traditional kennel or busy multi-dog boarding environment. My home has a securely fenced yard for potty breaks and outdoor time, and dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable here—including on the furniture and in bed if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including meals, walks, sleeping arrangements, and all those little things that help them feel secure. Your dog won’t be placed into a group of unfamiliar boarding dogs. This is a quiet home environment rather than a kennel or doggy daycare. About: Before my furrbaby (Tokie) passed away due to diabetes, I gave him a shot every morning, I would come home on my lunch break to clean up/ replace new puppy pads, wake up in the middle of the night to take him outside and also cooked protein to mix in with his food so he would feel more full throughout the day. I recently rescued 1 yr old Chiweenie named Louie. I potty trained him within a few weeks and now has free range of the house including his favorite sun spot when I'm away. I'm currently home by 5:30 Mon-Friday and flexible during the weekends. I have plenty of time outside of work for dog walks, fetch and feed etc. I live in a home with my 1yr old Chiweenie named Louie, a yard and I live near many walking trails and Bartels beach. About: My family and I truly enjoy watching other family’s animals. It allows us to help families not worry about their pets when they are not able to take care of them. I’m a full time teacher, so I have quite a bit of flexibilities during the summer time. I am available to board during the school year as well. I am available after 3:30 to tend to animals during the school year. I have a fenced in back yard and take our own dog for a walk daily. We have one dog, 2 cats, and one hamster. About: I have 15+ years of professional pet care experience through shelter, boarding, dog daycare and rescue experience. I previously managed a large scale, highly awarded facility in Madison. I can offer a vast amount of knowledge to make sure your pet not only has a great time while you are away but also is safe and well card for. I offer walks and drop in visits any day of the week. Walks can be in your own neighborhood, at a nearby trail location of your choosing or off leash at my rural home in our 1.75 acre fenced in yard. (Additional travel fees may apply for locations other than your home.) Your pup will come home tired from not only physical exercise but also from mental stimulation as I will encourage them to use their sniffer and their brain with basic obedience. I also offer a limited amount of In-Home Pet Sitting services in customer homes only. I am not able to sleepover in customer homes due to having pets/children of my own but can offer house sitting on a drop in basis and make multiple, extended visits to your home daily at your preferred times. I have experience with a wide range of dogs, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes and Mastiffs, including high-energy, Deaf, and special-needs dogs. Being Deaf has strengthened my bond with dogs because we’ve learned to communicate without relying on spoken words. I naturally pay close attention to their behavior, body language, and the little ways they communicate with me. I’ve always had an easy time connecting with dogs and understanding what they need to feel comfortable, safe, and understood. I work from home, allowing me to provide plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day, especially during house sitting. I’m comfortable with different routines, dogs in diapers, baths, basic nail trims, and keeping dogs mentally engaged with puzzles, chews, sniffing, and play. I’m also happy to offer treats with your approval or take your dog for a car ride if they find it relaxing.
