My first personal dog, Demi, holds titles in obedience, agility, and nosework. All three of my current dogs are certified canine good citizens and two are in agility training. Every dog I've owned has been a rescue with behavioral problems that we have been able to work through together. I have a lot of experience with behaviorally "challenged" dogs including dog aggressive, human aggressive, and semi feral. I have worked with senior dogs (one of my own dogs is 15) and am able to administer insulin shots for diabetic animals. I should have no scheduling issues if booked a few days in advance but I can usually make accommodations on short notice. Having an animal companion to spend time with is some of the best company you can ever have! In my family I have helped raise/train puppies, we have also fostered in my household, and I have taken care of animals for friends and family. I am a very active person, I teach phy ed, so I love getting out for walks or runs. I am a teacher, so during the summer my hours are pretty flexible. I do have to teach summer school in the mornings for a short period of time, but then I am available for mid morning or lunch time pet breaks! Making sure all animals are safe and well taken care of is very important to me. Following instructions on how a dog best responds is very critical. Dogs are animals of habit when trained, so I want to continue to follow routines and expectations that their owner has. About: I grew up with dogs around and found my soul mate dog in my early twenties. I rescued her from the humane association and we took classes on becoming a therapy dog. She passed too soon from an autoimmune disease about a year and a half ago. I miss having a dog to walk and spend time with. I hope to have a chance to spend time with yours! About: I have had horses and dogs along with all sorts of animals my whole life. I have assisted with litters of puppies and worked years in a veterinary clinic. My animals are my family and I will care for yours in the same way! I work Monday through Friday 8-5 and am off on the weekends I would be available after work and on the weekends. If that works let me know! I also take my small dog to work with me and my springer goes to daycare next to my work. I have a large fenced in backyard! Pets are like family in my home!! They are allowed on furniture! I have many years of experience from 6 pounds to 150 pound Great Danes.
