“Alexis and Amy have a great thing going. My partner and I are typically weary about leaving our high energy dog with strangers but couldn't have been happier that we chose Alexis' daycare. Everything from communication to drop-off/pick-up was super smooth. Our dog Sprocket thrives on social interaction with both humans and dogs and was happily exhausted at the end of the day when we picked him up. All the other dogs at daycare seem very well adjusted and friendly as well which was a relief for us. Would definitely recommend them and we will certainly be using them again! Thank you!”
About: I have had cats or dogs my whole life. I’d love to make your travel easier by caring for your beloved fur babies while you are away from home. I work from home and can rearrange my schedule during the day to stop in and take your pets out for potty breaks or a quick walk or cuddles. I don’t currently have pets in my home, so if your pets overnight here, they will have my full attention. I live in Sidney very close to walking paths and parks for walks and playtime.
About: I’ve loved and lived with dogs and cats my entire life and can’t imagine a home without animals. As a longtime healthcare professional and nurse, caregiving comes naturally to me, and I’m attentive to the subtle changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and comfort that can tell us how an animal is doing. Being exposed to such a wide variety of pets has given me a strong understanding of different animal needs, behaviors, and personalities. While I truly love all animals, I have a special connection with dogs. I am currently working a part-time job so I have plenty of time in my schedule to play and care for your beloved furry friends! Keeping pets safe whether in their own home or in mine, comes down to being attentive, prepared, and creating a calm, secure environment. In your home, I make sure to follow all instructions closely so your pet’s routine stays consistent. I double-check that doors, gates, and windows are secure to prevent any escapes, and I’m mindful of things like food left out, small objects, or anything that could be harmful. I respect the pet’s space and comfort level, keeping their environment calm and familiar while making sure they’re always supervised and cared for. In my own home, I focus on creating a pet-safe environment before they even arrive. I remove any hazards like toxic foods, loose cords, or small items they could swallow. I ensure there’s a clean, comfortable space for them to relax, with access to fresh water at all times. I also take time to slowly introduce them to the space so they feel safe and not overwhelmed. No matter where I’m caring for pets, I stay attentive to their behavior and needs, making sure they feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a child. I love spending time with them. I now have more time on my hands and would love to spend it caring for dogs who need some TLC. I had a senior pug who sadly rent over the rainbow bridge last year. The last few years she was with me, I had to give her medication, take care of her eyes and give her a special diet. I also had a lab who developed cancer and needed medication and a special diet. I feel I would be a perfect person to care for special needs dogs. I am retired so I have time to care for your pet from my home with frequent walks and/or bathroom breaks around our 5 acre property. I live on 5 acres. I do not have a fenced yard but take multiple walks throughout the day so your dog would be safely walked on a leash.

“Puppies spent a relaxing evening with Karrin and her pups after taking their walks around the grounds and getting their energy out. Alice and her aging Lola poodle snuggled together on the couch like 2 little old ladies watching the young pups figure life out. She sent me pictures again like she did the day before and was very conscientious about everything concerning the dogs. I highly recommend her. She communicates quickly on the app and is on time and the only time she was late is because my dogs were finally ready to eat their usual amount of food and ate their full breakfast in the morning and made her late, she wasn’t going to stop them from eating after they had hardly eaten anything for 3 days. We had talked about how much food that they had consumed, or lack there of, between us during our conversations. So she knew when they finally began to chow down like she saw she wasn’t going to stop them, that’s a great sitter to me, I wouldn’t make my dog drop off time that close to a flight time etc.., if you did, that’s on you not her, I digress, she’s awesome, like she said, this is a sign that the dogs feel comfortable. When they eat. I will definitely use her again. I hope you do too!”

Him and his family took such great care of my boys, and put my mind completely at ease while I was out of town for Christmas.
