About: I can hardly remember a time where i didnt have at least one pet. While in high-school and college, my fiance and I raised puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, 4 of our 5 puppies finished the program and were matched with people in need. We helped co-raise around 6 additional puppies as well. We also love cats, we have a tabby-calico mix named Teva, a lyxn point siamese named Minnie, and a gray siamese mix named Baby. Pima, one of the puppies that did not complete the program has been with us for 11 years now, and we have loved every moment of it. Unfortunately Pima passed away from cancer, but we do have a new addition to the family! We now have a big boy named Koa, an 80 lb American Rottweiler mix we adopted after he was found roaming Lacey Wa. He was very aggressive and untrained when we adopted him, but now he is the prime example of a model dog with our training! My schedule is very open. My wife is a school teacher so I do prefer to have the weekend off, but weekend visits are fine as well. I do have a fully fenced yard, our cats are indoor only, but one does go outside on a leash because she is adventurous. Very respectful of other's space.

“I am not one to bother leaving recommendations & I wanted to see if my experience would serve the test of time before I did. I have used Rachel on 3 occasions so far, from a few days up to two weeks at a time. For context, I have a 10# poodle & I have never let my dog spend the night anywhere before except with a couple close friends. I was apprehensive to try this service, but ran out of options one time when I had to fly out in an emergency. Now, this is my go to place. Rachel has a great place with fenced acreage, a couple school age children who are respectful with dogs. At times there are other dogs that she cares for at the same time, so it would be helpful if your dog is socialized well & then they have “friends” to play with. I couldn’t ask for anything better with Rachel’s service. My dog has to take meds & she is competent with all of that as well. She sends pics of your dog to you periodically if you’d like while you’re away to reassure you everything is great. She communicates well & asks questions if needed. If you are unable to take your dog with you, I would highly recommend Rachel & her service on Rover.com with anyone.”
