About: I am an experienced obedience dog trainer who wishes for a work-life balance helping animals!! Animals have been my passion throughout my life, ranging from reptiles, rodents, to dogs. My goal is to further expand my knowledge in dog training and to learn everything there is to help guide me into more opportunities working with furballs! Having animals of my own, as well as having many in the family, has given me experience with handling. This is where I have learned and practiced skills such as dog training, intervening with disputes, administering medicine, and much more. I also love the outdoors, so hiking is something I love to do with my dogs to burn out their energy. During my experience at ABC (Animal Behavior College), I worked with trainers where I learned techniques for impulse control, reactivity, puppies, and even some service dog training. I also worked with the behavioral specialist at the Everett Animal Shelter where I am provided a list of dogs to work with and make them more adoptable :) I am flexible most days!! I work a full-time job at the moment but have a mixed schedule between days and nights. This makes it easier to do drop-ins/walks during the weekend and then sitting at night during the week! A majority of the pets we have cared for have been rescue pets. The the transition for them is hard enough as it is being left at a stranger's house, and we don't want to make that transition any more difficult for them. We ask that you bring an item with them, something that they associate with you and home. Also we ask for these items as well: food, food bowl, and water bowl, bed or bedding, toys they may want to play with, treats, and of course a daily interaction log ( we want to keep them on the same routine that they are use to, or as close to it as we can) I also try and send pictures daily, but in the off chance I miss a day, I send extra shots the next day. If we sound like a good fit for you, we are always happy to set up a meet and greet at our place for introductions. (We have also taken in fur-kids without meet and greets.) “Sheri and her husband did a wonderful job with my Omar. They kept him well walked and tired by the end of each day. He usually doesn't eat while away from me, but with them he ate well. Having them home all day was an added bonus, he is very much a people loving dog and wants to be near someone at all times. They sent a daily picture, as well as a short description of his day. I will not hesitate to take him back for another stay if need be.”
“April was awesome! Pinky had a great time and we got pictures and videos. It was our first time leaving her with a sitter and we were nervous, but we’re put at ease as soon as we arrived. And Pinky is now crate trained!! If we are ever in the area again, we would board with April!”

Her daughters, Nova and Ivy, also gave lots of love to our Jenny; Ivy, age 2, said after hugging and kissing Jenny, “You can leave Jenny with us any time, we’re not that busy.” Jenny was returned to us looking (and smelling) better than when we left her off with the Johnsons; their dog, Groot, was a wonderful playmate for Jenny, AND Groot and Jenny eat the same dig food, Farmers Dog, and they both love it. 🐶🐶😎😎🦮🦮”

“Christel was absolutely amazing! It was our first time using rover and we weren’t sure how it would go but we needed to find care for our dog as we were flying home for thanksgiving. Christel met up with us beforehand to make sure Fennel was comfortable in her home and with her other dog which was great. During Fennel’s stay Christel sent us so many pictures and videos we knew Fennel was in great hands. She also took him on many walks and even a hike which Fennel loves. “Jenny took care of our neighbor's dog Willow for us when we were taking care of it and had to leave unexpectedly for 3 days, the boarding experience went very well and she was very thoughtful and asked good questions prior to the boarding. Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”
