“I can’t say enough about the wonderful care Rose provided for my cats while I was on a 10 day vacation! She arrived promptly for the twice a day visit I requested. She dispensed ear meds for one of my cats for an ear infection and took time to play with them and gave updates about how they were eating and interacting with her. I have one cat that is fearful of anyone new, and after a few days, she was comfortable with Rose and played with a wand toy with her!! That was a huge step for this kitty!! She gave me peace of mind during my time away which was invaluable! “About 1-1/2 months ago, we brought in a stray cat who was very scared of everything. Unfortunately, we had previously planned a 10 day trip and so were concerned as to what to do about our new cat, Percy. We searched online and discovered Rover. Bridgette, who does pet sitting through Rover, agreed to be at our home over the 10 day period when we would be gone. We are grateful that Bridgette was able to stay 24 hours a day as Percy was just too new to be left alone for long periods of time. We were delighted with the work she did for us. She was very responsible and we felt comfortable leaving her in charge of our home and Percy. Bridgette is very sweet and soft-spoken which was perfect for our anxious cat. He was very wary of her and hid away for much of the time, but Bridgette continued to care for his needs, plus her presence in our home must have given him a sense of companionship. About: I love dogs because I grew up in a farm, I have lots of experience in how to take care of dogs. I love playing with them and taking them on walks' and park. Just have some fun with them. I have so many toys and treats to teach them new things. I like to go on runs in the morning so the dogs can be really active. love to run with them and get some energy out before the day starts. About: I have taken care of just about every type of animal since I was young (dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, hedgehogs, gerbils, snakes, etc.) I've trained and raised several puppies and kittens. The majority of the animals in my life were adult animals and if they were family pets, they stayed with us until it was time to cross the rainbow bridge so I also have a fair amount of experience with senior care as well. I have 2 children, a 10 year old boy, named Orion, and my daughter Kaylee, who would have been 22 years old, unfortunately she passed away from a car accident in 2020. I was in FFA for 4 years and raised a pig all 4 years to sell at the fair. Shawn is from the Arlington area and was also raised with animals. He has raised everything from goats to kittens. We feel that your pets aren't just pets, but more like a child, and we know the importance of finding the right care for your Fur-Babies. A majority of the pets we have cared for have been rescue pets. The the transition for them is hard enough as it is being left at a stranger's house, and we don't want to make that transition any more difficult for them. We ask that you bring an item with them, something that they associate with you and home. Also we ask for these items as well: food, food bowl, and water bowl, bed or bedding, toys they may want to play with, treats, and of course a daily interaction log ( we want to keep them on the same routine that they are use to, or as close to it as we can) I also try and send pictures daily, but in the off chance I miss a day, I send extra shots the next day. I've never missed a feeding time for any of our pets. I make sure to feed our dogs in the morning and the night, or whatever schedule has been asked. But I have plenty of free time for playing with my animals. Well I love to walk so dogs always get enough exercise, and I make sure to groom my dogs monthly, and I make sure to feed all of my pets well enough.
About: I love dogs and I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't. I have my own dog. He likes to play with other dogs. He is a Maltipoo. I'm currently working part-time from home or remotely, so I have plenty of time to pamper, play, pet your pooches to the level they want. When your dog boards with me, their safety and happiness are my top priorities! We live right by McCollum Park, which is a fantastic, safe spot for on-leash walks through the woods or around the large grassy fields. If your dog loves to socialize and you are comfortable with it, there is also a fully enclosed dog park nearby for supervised off-leash play. I also love taking pups on secure car rides, but only if that's something they truly enjoy and you approve of!
