About: Hi, my name is Amber-rae, I am 22 years old and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — I’ve cared for everything from barnyard animals to beloved family pets since I was 9 years old. Dogs have always been by my side, and I welcomed my very own pup into my life at just 10 years old. With a lifetime of experience, I know how to keep tails wagging, paws moving, and pets happy, safe, and loved. We’ve got two beautiful boy cats at home who are our only pets at the moment. But i often care for my mothers dogs, she has 6 of them, four little Havaneese and two giant mastiffs At home our cats have free roam or the house and are only sometimes locked in their bedroom (the bathroom) because that’s where their food and litter box is. They’re given plenty snuggles and love, especially from my daughter, they love to play and cuddle on her bedroom floor. As for a clients animal, I will follow whichever routine is given for each animal (cat or dog) Whether it’s playing fetch, simply feeding them or going for a walk.

She was very attentive to Bouncer during his weekend stay and sent me updates with a picture of him. The best part was that she and her family were very kind. “Lorelei is such a great host! I have boarded my puppy with her about 5 or 7 times over the course of December 2015 and January 2016 and I can only say great things about her. Her apt is very welcoming to dogs as she always has fellow playmates around and has a patio area where they can eliminate. One time, my puppy jumped off the furniture wrong and had hurt himself. She called me immediately and also did the courtesy of contacting DogVacay’s own vet for advice. My experience of Lorelei is that she is very attentive to the dogs and cares for them as if they are her own. As a bonus, Lorelei also wrote me thank you cards! I have booked with someone else when she wasn’t available and now I have learned that if you’re going to book on DogVacay, choose Lorelei!”

I started by pet sitting overnight for my grandparents while they were on vacation and eventually started pet sitting for friends and family. If tons of love and snuggles are required I’m happy to oblige, but I also understand the different boundaries of each individual animal and how to navigate them to earn trust. My dog Pongo gets 4-5 walks per day, some are sniff walks for mental exercise, and others are to throw a stick in the woods for him to let some energy out.

About: What is a home without a dog? I have always had a dog- or a few dogs. They make life good. I live with my husband and our two teenage daughters. We are a fun loving family of four, living on a small (wanna be) farm with our dog Larry and a flock of hens. Larry was a rescue from the humane society- and despite her rough start, she is ridiculous sweet. She can be both playful and lazy- a great combination for a playdate. About: I'm super attentive and believe dogs have a language of their own. They can communicate with their behavior and emotional undertones. In a way I feel I understand that well. Not so different than children in their needs of love attention and affection. We have a small pug who is exceedingly friendly and welcoming to other dogs, like a little best friend and playmate. My kids are usually in school during the day. When I get the chance I love to take them to the dog parks or fields to run and play. Exercise is as important as good food and a warm cozy bed. I am also an herbalist and acupuncturist so I am very empathetic and in touch with nature. I have a basic understanding of medical needs in people and can apply that a bit towards animals when needing to identify if there is ever a problem and how severe it is. I currently work part-time. I have dad's house in Poulsbo that I drop them at while I am at work if they like to be with someone all day. He works from home. We do Zoom meetings to show the homes and environment for care. I have a large backyard and I often let them play inside and outside at their leisure with the door open while I garden. I have a fenced in yard and crate if needed. I prefer that they have their own bed for scent purposes so that they smell home. I prefer you bring your own food as each dog has a favorite, important that they want to eat while you're away. Any special instructions are best to pack so that I can refer to them such as how many gummies to give for Pain. We love our animals and I love to spoil them for you!
About: Hello! My name is Meaghan, my husband’s name is Joseph, and we love animals! I will be the primary caregiver while my husband takes care of boarding in our home! I grew up on an extensive ranch in Oregon and have always had many varied pets/farm animals growing up. My love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. My experience in pet care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends, and volunteering over the years. My husband and I have 1 dog and 1 cat of our own; Mac- our boxer dog, and Jasper- our kitty. About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been part of my everyday world. From a young age, my life has revolved around animals and helping them become the best versions of themselves. Some of my earliest experiences were with cats, including a feral rescue named Misty I bonded with closely as a child. I tend to connect well with animals that are more troubled, reactive, or unsure, and I’m often able to bring out their calmer, more trusting side. Later on in my life, my experience expanded significantly through raising and caring for Golden Retrievers. Growing up around breeding and long-term dog care taught me responsibility, consistency, and how much attention animals need at different stages of life. I’ve been involved in raising dogs from newborns to adulthood, and many of the dogs I’ve helped raise have gone on to become unforgettable adventure companions for their families. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve gained extensive experience working with animals through long-term, hands-on care. My background as a Golden Retriever breeder has given me perspective on how different animals can be, even within the same breed. Every animal has unique preferences, behaviors, and ways of communicating, and learning to recognize those differences has been a major part of my experience. I’m comfortable managing multiple animals at once and handling a range of needs without becoming overwhelmed. I’m most accustomed to larger dogs, but my experience raising puppies has given me the delicacy and awareness needed to care for smaller animals as well. I’m especially familiar with puppies under six months old, including their unpredictable behavior and the extra attention they require. I’ve also worked with dogs that can be semi-reactive in certain situations. While I’m not willing to take on dogs that are broadly aggressive, I retain the right to assess the dog before accepting. I’m most comfortable with working with dogs that are borderline reactive but not reactive-aggressive. I can recognize signs of stress or reactivity, and can manage dogs that are generally well-functioning but may need thoughtful handling in specific situations. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for drop-ins and walks throughout the day, generally between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, unless I’m staying at a client’s home for house sitting. Animal care already shapes my daily routine, and I’m used to structuring my day around feeding schedules, exercise, outdoor exposure, and rest. I’m comfortable juggling different routines and planning time and resources around an animal’s specific needs. I’m very conscientious about safety and environmental risks. I pay close attention to doors, gates, toxic plants, household hazards, interactions with unfamiliar animals, and changes in an animal’s behavior. I rely on observation and experience to distinguish between normal behavior and something that may need attention. If something seems off, I communicate clearly and directly, providing context and details without being alarmist. I also enjoy sharing updates and photos so owners feel informed and connected while they’re away. I have experience filming and taking photos of animals especially dogs and cats that don’t sit still - so you’re bound to get a good photo or two of them.

I am incredibly adaptable and intuitive, so it makes understanding all those fur children quirks a priority. As a pet-sitter, I am very flexible and will work closely with you to discuss details for the pet-sit (IE: arrivals/departure times, house-sitting expectations) , and get to know your baby. I am very responsive and readily available. I have experience with dogs and cats of all different breeds, and even worked as a professional dog bather for some time. I have been around dogs and cats my entire life. My very first fur BFF was a majestic, soulful Lab/German Shepard mix who was my best companion through my awkward growing pain years. Currently, I am a proud mom of the protective teddy bear (Lola), burst of energy and enthusiastic Rat Terrier mix (Bettie), queen of mean looks yet total cheese-ball cat (Nirvana), and my loving baby boy cat (Hawkeye) who is watching me intently as I write this. I hope to arrange my first pet-sit with you and your children soon! I also offer drop-in visits and walks. All of my starting base prices are listed, and if additional services are needed, I am very open to discuss. I work hard so that my fur children live awesome lives! I can provide flexibility in scheduling for all pet care services. I work remotely from home and can work remotely from any home/location with internet. I am also a dog and cat mom who takes care of 4 fur children regularly. Currently, I do not offer pet boarding services in my home as Lola is working on her socialization skills. I will bring professionalism, care, and fun right to your location! While staying at the client's home, I have the utmost respect for your space. I am a highly organized professional and can maintain clean, tidy spaces. I will work with each client to best suit their needs and expectations of my stay.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats alike since I was 16. I started by pet sitting overnight for my grandparents while they were on vacation and eventually started pet sitting for friends and family. I’ve handled walking, feeding, enrichment, and medication needs. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and dispositions and have no problem staying overnight as needed. I am self-employed and therefore have the flexibility in my schedule to care for your pets in the way they deserve, whether that be an overnight stay or regular walks and potty breaks. My cats sleep in my bed with me and get regular pets and cuddles. I provide enrichment as often as they seem interested. I care for clients’ pets like I would care for my own. If the pets are allowed to sleep on the bed or sit on the furniture with me, I love animal cuddles and am happy to share my space.

About: I have always been an extreme dog lover…growing up I volunteered through various adoption agencies and duties included fostering dogs, helping with walks, and lots of playing and entertaining. I have two absolutely insane pups, so no dog will be too much energy to handle. My partner and I are very active and love bringing our pups along on all of our adventures, and I would love to do the same for your pup, if they like the outdoors. If not, I'm just as happy snuggling up and providing lots of love and attention when you're away. I unfortunately cannot sit inside my home because my one pup, Kona, doesn't always get along with other dogs, but walks, drop-ins and house sitting are definitely something I can do! I'm very flexible when it comes to what you might need, so I can make most accommodations without issue! I'm very excited to take care of your pup while you're out, and I always send pics/updates (if you'd like), because I know I love when a sitter does that for me! Fit in care around work schedule, try to accommodate what your needs are. Depending on the season, my availability changes but I’ll always be upfront about that. About: Im the go to person for pet sitting in my family, I grew up with dogs and currently have two kitties. I love hikes and would love to have the company of your dog with me! 🖤 I am a fulltime artist, so I have a pretty flexible schedule I am able to work around. I am available for daily or weekly walks and occasional house sitting. Care in my home: Always access to clean water and having multiple water locations, my cats have scheduled breakfast and dinner aswell. A clean litter box and fun toys, proper scratching trees are very important for a healthy and happy kitty. Alot of this applies to dogs aswell! About: I grew up with many dogs, my family bred dogs so I am very comfortable with puppies and animals that are not yet potty trained. I also have experience caring for sick dogs and dogs that need special care. I’m a college student home for the summer, looking to help out around my community and watch after your animals! I love walking dogs and can always come and check on your pets when needed. While I can’t host any pets in my home, I feel comfortable servicing anyones pet in their own home. I’ve cared for my neighbors’ dogs and regularly walk dogs around San Diego while I’m in school. About: Hi, my name is Amber-rae, I am 22 years old and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — I’ve cared for everything from barnyard animals to beloved family pets since I was 9 years old. Dogs have always been by my side, and I welcomed my very own pup into my life at just 10 years old. With a lifetime of experience, I know how to keep tails wagging, paws moving, and pets happy, safe, and loved. We’ve got two beautiful boy cats at home who are our only pets at the moment. But i often care for my mothers dogs, she has 6 of them, four little Havaneese and two giant mastiffs At home our cats have free roam or the house and are only sometimes locked in their bedroom (the bathroom) because that’s where their food and litter box is. They’re given plenty snuggles and love, especially from my daughter, they love to play and cuddle on her bedroom floor. As for a clients animal, I will follow whichever routine is given for each animal (cat or dog) Whether it’s playing fetch, simply feeding them or going for a walk.
