“We arranged Susan H. to look after our 7-year old Havanese Roxy for 5 weeks while we had to make an international trip to Nepal. Roxy had never been without one of us (either myself or my wife Sharon) with her ever, during her entire life. At home, Roxy is very communicative, and well-trained to pee and poop outside, and rarely had accidents inside the house. Apparently, Roxy had a difficult time adjusting at Susan's house. It could have been the new environment and/or smells of other dogs that had been there previously. I think Roxy was also very distressed at not being at home and also that both of us had left her (or not knowing that we were ever coming back). Susan was very patient with Roxy, showed her a lot of love, and communicated regularly with us via messaging about Roxy's adjustment, issues, and progress. We were most appreciative. In the end, after 5 weeks when we picked up Roxy, Susan told us that Roxy had become like a family member in her household. When asked if she would again care for Roxy in the future (if/when we needed), Susan's answer was, "yes, indeed". I cannot recommend Susan more highly. She did a 5-star job looking after our little girl.”

“Tami was fantastic. By coincidence, the first day we took our dog to Tami's place, there had been several inches of snow the night before. There was a small hill on the way to her house thaty sedan wasn't able to handle in those conditions. I let her know we were having trouble getting to her, and she drove out to meet us. Then she did the same when we came to pick our pup up from her. Really went the extra mile for us, and it was very much appreciated. We live in the Silver Beach neighborhood and have recently lost our sweet little poodle and now that our children are grown and gone, I feel I can provide a safe, reliable, and fun space for dog parents who need a sitter. As a school bus driver, I work 6-10 AM, then have few hours break and go back to my afternoon drive 2-6 PM. To ensure proper care for your animals, I like to book clients no further than a 30 min drive from Sedro Woolley. Please take this into consideration when considering me as your sitter for your pets! :) I have owned cats, large dogs (100 + lbs), and horses over the years, so I'm well-versed in handling a variety of pet needs. I work as a school bus driver, so I leave the house early in the morning for few hours, then have 2-4 hrs off and then drive the kids home in the afternoon, usually 2-6 pm. My dogs are very friendly and I don't believe I have ever met another dog that they have not gotten along with. They are getting a little grumpy in their old age, but they’re still very sweet! I was working remote and was recently laid off due to outsourcing. So I am home with my dogs every day, we go on walks around our neighborhood and go to dog parks in the area. I have an unfenced yard and 2 dogs and 2 cats. My cats are indoor/outdoor, and they are not shy with dogs. We keep dogs on a lead if they aren’t great off-leash and we have a good little spot to throw the ball.
About: Currently raising my 4th puppy a Newfoundland name Freydis , raised a frenchie and 2 newfies prior. The bigger the dog the better. Please keep in mind I don’t drive or have a car but I do have and ebike. Easily accepting Redmond/Kirkland/Woodinville/Bothell jobs. I work full time Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 6:30am-3:00pm. I am free all times outside of that. I’m able to do one offs but I would prefer something ongoing. Prefer to bring my friendly potty trained puppy but understand if that’s not your pets/babies vibe. Hyper aware of dangerous floor items, dangerous foods, what toys aren’t appropriate and why, what collars and harness are are good for what. I want my animals to eat the best items, play with toys that won’t hurt them and make them the happiest babies so they live the longest. Your animals aren’t JUST pets they are our world!
About: Since I was very young I have loved and cared for our dogs and cats. For the pups, taking them for long walks and spoiling them with toys and cuddles are among my specialties! For my cats, they are the lucky recipients of lots and lots of petting, cat toys and of course their favorite meals. I have an open schedule and can stop in for regular, long dog walks or stay over for overnight pet sitting and for any pet needs in between. I have experience with all ages and all sizes of dogs and cats and like to know all of your pet's favorite things and quirk so I can make my time with them super comfotable and fun. I am far away from home and miss my animals, now Rover gives me that chance to share my love of pets with others! I have time in the mornings and evenings to play, feed, and walk the pups. I never leave a dog for longer than 8 hours but I try to make 6 the max. About: I've been an animal person my whole life; from originally wanting to be a vet (decided to pivot due to the sadness that probably comes from being a vet) to caring for pets of my own. I've always felt I've been able to understand animals better than most people. I think it stems from my ability to innately understand their non-verbal communication. Hence, the Dolittle reference. A typical day in my home is calm, comfortable, and centered around the pet’s normal routine. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, a clean space, plenty of attention, and time to play or relax depending on their personality. I’m happy to follow any specific routines you have at home so your pet feels as comfortable and familiar as possible. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box or potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also pay close attention to their behavior and comfort level, giving them plenty of affection when they want it and space when they need it.

These days, I have a dog of my own plus my partner's two dogs, (we all live here) so our house is always full of happy pups! Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care and are treated like part of the family. I work from home and have a large, fully fenced backyard with a high fence for added security. I also have a screened/mosquito-net door that allows me to keep the door open during the day while I work, giving the dogs easy access to fresh air and the yard while remaining safely enclosed. My desk has a full view of the backyard, so I can keep a close eye on everyone throughout the day. Of course, if you prefer that your dog not have access through the open screened door, I'm happy to keep the main door closed and follow whatever routine makes you most comfortable. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet with someone else, and I'll treat your dog with the same care, attention, and affection that I give my own. Please know that I live with my partner (who loves animals more than anyone I’ve ever met) and if I have an appointment or errand during drop off, he helps to stay back and do the hand off. If that’s not okay, let me know and I will make it work! -I work remotely Monday-Friday from 7-3:30 -I do tend to stay busy out of the house after 5pm for errands or a gym class a few times a week but no day is the same -Typically in the mountains one day out of the weekend I can be decently flexible during the week but I might NOT be the best fit if: -I can’t leave your dog at my house for 1.5 hours after work if I go to the gym or run an errand -If you need care past 8:00pm because that’s typically my bedtime… but I can be flexible. -Your dog doesn’t get along well with others …Otherwise, let’s do this! Other: -I live in the Roosevelt neighborhood in Bellingham -I will definitely send frequent updates and fun photos of your pet child while on pet duty -I am flexible so most things aren't a no but please reach out with questions about availability and I always do my best to respond ASAP House Fully fenced yard front and back 3 dogs live here My partner lives here too and we both are beyond careful with the dogs’ safety.
