“Jared did an excellent job boarding Fiona, a ~2.5 year old pit mix that is brand new to our home. Jared came over for a meet and greet, where he let Fiona snuggle up to him which he interspersed with little checks, like touching her ears or feet to see how she responded. We sat in the back yard for a while talking about Fiona, his dog Bart, and his background - and after a while he suggested that he thought it would work well to board her at his place. I brought Fiona over there to see how she did in that environment, and she was very comfortable there. Jared sent me photos and updates throughout, reporting on how Fiona and Bart were doing together. They started with short play sessions until they got more familiar with each other. Jared was always quick to respond to text messages. Thanks Jared for looking after Fiona, you'll be seeing her again soon.”

About: I was Blessed with a Tortoiseshell cat for 15 years named Penelope Rose. Pets truly help us through the hardest times of our lives and we help them in return. They do find us, for sure. She was developed cat asthma (rare) and medication was not helping her so I put her down and that was my last pet years ago. I grew up having a grey Siamese cat. Both cats followed me everywhere. Every cat I meet has a unique personality that I love getting to know each and every one. Cats make me feel very calm & relaxed and I feel I have that same effect on them as well. I like the idea of sometime developing a cat toy line because I used to make so many homemade, safe ones when I was growing up. I understand Dogs & Cats and they seem to get me too. About: I have taken care of a dog, a cat, and farm animals since I was 12 years old. I love walking long distances with my dog. I am also very good at reading animal body language and I know how to do all of the basic animal care necessities. I am currently working from home so I would have lots of time for walks and hikes and play. I will make sure your dog comes home happy and tired. I do have a golden retriever and our schedule that your dog would also follow unless they’re special needs is we wake up at seven am, we go outside to go potty, then feed them they play and rest then we go for a walk. We love our Whipple Creek 🌲❤️ Trail then we drive home and rest. Then later I give them their second feeding, take them out to go to the bathroom and take a small walk in our neighborhood before it’s time to rest and chill and head to bed. I live in a cozy gated apartment with my husband, Greg and my golden retriever. My husband works as a in-home caregiver and when he gets home he helps me out. He is also an animal lover, and if I am housesitting, he travels with me as well as my very friendly golden retriever. I promise as a married couple we will respect your house and environment we will also bring our own sleeping equipment and we don’t mind doing house chores.

“Finding the right fit for taking care of my two older chihuahuas was very stressful, until I came across Julie and Barry. Firstly, my huge requirement was that they had no dogs of their own and secondly, that they would only have one client at a time. That is not super easy to find. And not only do they fulfill both of those requirements, but it is two people instead of one, so it's an incredible amount of care and attention that is given to any animal that they might care for. One of my pups has some pretty major anxiety and Julie knew just what to do with her. She turns on her heating pad and cuddles up on the couch with her, and I can tell that they are very loved while there. And though I know my pups don't like being away from me, they very obviously feel safe and comfortable with both Julie and Barry. They also have a wonderful place for the dogs to be when outside. Our pups are going to board with them soon and we feel 100% comfortable with it, and excited that we have found Julie and Barry. Besides taking great care of the pups, they are lovely people and we have enjoyed getting to know them.”

About: Hello, I’ve always grown up around animals. From farm animals to bunnies and birds. I first started dogsitting with rescue dogs. My first being a fear aggressive rescue. From there, I built my client list with people who have rescue animals and Nextdoor. I currently help watch rescued cats, dogs, horses, sheep and goats and a bird from time to time. I myself have an abuse case rescue Belgian Mallnois. Animals are a part of who I am, and I take care of all of them as if they’re my own :) I currently work part time, and the work is fairly flexible. I am often in vancouver, Washougal, Hazel dell and camas. I have reliable transportation and can be flexible with helping around my work I live on five acres , lots of land that’s fenced for your pup, I like taking them to places for them to run around, plus I own a 30-50 foot leash so if your pup has room to run but is safe to come back. I really believe in mind stimulation to help get their energy out too, mind games/walks really helps. A tired dog is a happy dog 😊

About: I've spent years hanging out with all kinds of dogs and have had a few of my own for years, so I know what makes them tick. Whether it's a bunch of playful puppies or a sweet old dog, I've taken care of them all. I have experience with newborn litters and taken care of my own elderly dogs. Because of this, I can give your dog the perfect care they need to feel happy and loved, no matter how young or old they are! I currently work a full time job but I get fridays-Sunday off. During the weekends I’m free to take your pup on walks or even house sit while you’re gone enjoying some me time. Weekdays I usually have short days and can be flexible with my hours. I have a fenced back yard, and a lovely park not even 10 min away. They can spend time with me inside and outside my home.
About: From having family dogs since I was a kid, to being hired as a reccurring sitter and walker for years for many clients/friends, and now owning 2 dogs of my own, I’m constantly with a furry companion and I wouldn’t want to live any other way. I love being outside, especially with my pups, so if your dog needs to get out and roam on some adventures I’m always up for a walk or some fetch, rain (especially rain), or shine. I’m also a big fan of lap dogs no matter what shape or size so if your pooch is a bit of a home body, and just needs some belly rubs or someone to sit with and talk their ear off, I’m your guy. I work part time during the week, most often Tuesday-Thursday starting at 9 am. I can flex my schedule to meet your schedule if you need an early morning walk or pop in as well as afternoons and evenings Having 2 dogs ourselves, my wife and I are very aware of things like doors being left open, or food being reached. We are hyper vigilant when it comes to our dogs safety as well as others. We always leash our dogs!

About: Ive taken care of friends, family and neighbors pets since I was a young child. I’ve worked with animals in multiple different environments and I can administer medication as well as provide a bath using my pet grooming station. I’m an animal lover of all kinds even the “big scary mean ones”. I lead a very active lifestyle and would love to be able to share that with your furry friend whenever you’re not able too! I also love teaching and training. There’s no better feeling for myself than when I can connect with an animal and build a bond. I’m currently working part time so I have a lot of available time to get outside and play with your furry friends. I take my own cats on walks several times a day we eat three limited ingredient meals a day and take regular baths and grooming sessions. Needless to say I never run out of time when it comes to spending time with any animals. I don’t have a yard however I have a big comfy couch and two very friendly cats that love dogs ready to play! I also live near a lot of dog parks including sellwood dog park and love going on tons of walks and runs throughout the day. I have a very clean home and a crate incase it’s needed I can also separate my cats away if needed pretty much can work around anything I’ve even got an elevator.
