I work part-time mostly in the evenings, while my partner works full-time during the day, so between the two of us there is almost always someone home. On the rare occasions we are both working, your dog would typically be alone for no more than three hours at a time. I’m home during the day and love getting outside as much as I can, so going on walks and spending time outdoors are a big part of the routine. My partner works at MEC and usually craves time outdoors when he's not at work and he's definitely been missing having a trail buddy! Dogs in our care can expect regular walks, fresh air, and plenty of love and attention. Overall, our schedule allows us to provide a balanced mix of activity, supervision, and downtime, and we’re happy to adapt to each dog’s specific needs and routine. Outdoor time is always supervised, and walks are done securely on leash. With trail access just steps from our door, your pup will get regular exercise in a safe and peaceful neighbourhood. With two of us at home, there’s always a high level of supervision, attention, and care so you can feel confident knowing your dog is safe, relaxed, and well looked after.
About: We have been pet people our entire 40 years together. We have fostered pups and adopted many pups. Right now we have an older Bichon who loves all dogs! We are retired and love spending time on our 3.3 acres in the country. Pups have a window seat to look out and enjoy sun bathing. Dogs are left alone for very short periods of time. Pups sleep near the people. Dogs love it here and we love dogs being here. Retired. I swim 3 days a week, but other than that.... I am home most every day...all day and night. We recently became a one dog home...Our old pup Nike was at least 17 years. Samson, the Bichon loves all dogs and welcomes them with open paws! Our home is safe for dogs and baby proofed for when Grandchildren visit. Safety first is very important standard we live by. We have a dog camera for when we are away at pool, or grocery store.

“Kirsten and family, including Rory their lab, were amazing hosts to Tucker. They provide a loving family atmosphere with a beautiful yard for the dogs and lots of walks. They even accommodated Tucker sleeping in bed with them which was so sweet. Tucker can have separation anxiety and not eat while we’re away but they made sure he had a quiet spot to eat and he ate! They sent photos every day which helped us relax knowing he was happy and relaxed. The best sign was Tucker was content and tired on the way home which let us know he had a great time and has made a new friend in Rory, the perfect host. We would highly recommend Kirsten and family as hosts for your furry friends.”
“Damajah was a wonderful and kind pet sitter. She definitely had our dog's best interest in mind. She met us at the dog park first so we could introduce him to her dog and make sure they got along. Damajah was helpful with questions and sent us several photos and videos during his stay so we knew he was doing well and in good hands.”

“Ida and her dog Nala were very welcoming to our dog Maika who was quickly integrated in the family. It was her first time sleeping anywhere else than home. They played with her, brought her to walks, nature parks and dog parks, cuddled with her and remained attentive to her needs. We loved receiving daily reports with pictures of the day. At the end, our dog was reluctant to get in the car with us, as she had a great time with Ida and Nala. It helped that we first booked Ida for a walk then for a one night sleepover so our dog knew we would come back after our 5 nights trip. We will definitely book Ida again!”
