“We have had our Border Collie for 5 years and the longest she has been apart from us is 2 nights. We needed boarding for 7 nights. We worked with Allison and had Cookie stay for 1 night, then 2 and finally 3 nights before our trip. When we dropped her off for the 7 night stay, Cookie barked at the door and was excited to go in. It made us feel much better about leaving her. When we picked her up she was healthy and happy. I can’t thank or recommend Allison enough.”

“Jared did an excellent job boarding Fiona, a ~2.5 year old pit mix that is brand new to our home. Jared came over for a meet and greet, where he let Fiona snuggle up to him which he interspersed with little checks, like touching her ears or feet to see how she responded. We sat in the back yard for a while talking about Fiona, his dog Bart, and his background - and after a while he suggested that he thought it would work well to board her at his place. I brought Fiona over there to see how she did in that environment, and she was very comfortable there. Jared sent me photos and updates throughout, reporting on how Fiona and Bart were doing together. They started with short play sessions until they got more familiar with each other. About: I have had pets in my home since I was a baby and have been loving and living with one ever since. A cat saved my life when I was a newborn. You could say that set the tone. I live on 3 fenced acres and have a variable schedule due to my own dogs + taking care of my pre-school nephew PT. M,T,R,F: Our days start early, courtesy of aforementioned preschooler. 6:30am and it’s outside time. Another visit outdoors after the bus has gone around 8am, then playing outside or lazing inside. Another outside break around 11:00a. 12-5pm is when the dogs are kept busy with chew toys and their own company. After 5:30 depends on my fitness calendar/our beloved PNW weather: will we go for a run at the park? A hike? Yard zoomies? Bed time at approximately 10:30 with a potty break just before. Wednesdays and weekends vary, but follow a similar timeline. I give the same care in your home as I do my own in mine. All the playing, sitting and/or affection they or their pet parents ask for.

About: I love animals and have been around and cared for them all of my life. I have two dogs of my own and owned a horse ranch for the last 20 years. I now live in a new neighborhood, with a fully fenced yard. I do work during the day so my husband cares for our Rover pets while I am gone. All dogs love him and he is home during the day. I am a very experienced horse owner and can provide care for livestock as well as cats, dogs and birds. I raised Andalusian horses and have been around them most of my life. Pets are my passion, are important and I love to be around them. They make me happy and I would love to pamper your pets! For house sitting clients, I do work from 6-2pm. About: I am a lifelong pet owner and animal lover, and former volunteer for The Animal Foundation. After taking an extended break to finish my degree and move to the Pacific Northwest, I'm ready to start my pet-sitting business back up! I have experience with senior dogs and medically complex dogs, as well as puppies. Both my spouse and I currently work from home. There is also always a car available to take your dog to your preferred vet if needed, or take them on a fun adventure on one of our local hiking trails. We'll wake up in the morning, have outside time, go for a walk or to the park down the street if desired. They'll have breakfast and then free rein of the house for whatever they'd like to do. If they have favorite games they like to play with you at home, I'd love to learn them while your pups are in my care! We usually feed Rosie dinner around 7, but we're happy to feed your dog on their schedule so they have the least number of disruptions to their routine possible. We can go for an evening walk, and they can spend the evening inside or in the backyard as much as they like. We have a comfy, relaxing, fun home environment. It's just me and my spouse, no roommates or kids. Our yard has grass and is fenced in, there is a park just down the street from our house with grass and a small wooded area, and we're about twenty minutes from the Lewis River trail and Lacamas Lake in opposite directions. Our house is cozy, comfy, and the dogs are welcome to sleep and lounge on any of the furniture. Rosie has her own room with a queen-sized bed that she often sleeps in, and they're welcome to sleep in there with her, in the living room on our large couch, or in our room with us.

About: I have had dogs for my entire life! I currently have 2 dogs. Both are Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Trinity is our senior girl 13 yrs old, and Shira who is 2. I have had the most experience with big dogs (mainly German Shepherds and now Rhodesian Ridgebacks). I have done Schutzhund with my shepherds and have done dog shows and obedience shows locally with my Ridgebacks. Our dogs and the ones I take care of are always my priority. I treat all dogs like they are mine so they get all the love, snuggles, and attention they want. I have a safe and secure home and yard. We have a 3/4 acre completely fenced back yard fenced to 6 feet high. We are in the country and have lots of bunnies for them to chase. We also have a creek on our property that in good weather would be fun for the dogs to play in. I have some agility equipment that I will break out when the weather is nice and let dogs go through those or show them how. For rainy days we have toys and dog puzzles to keep their minds active. We also have a shop that I can put up agility equipment when the weather is lousy and cold so they can chase each other around in there if they are getting antsy. I also do daily obedience with my own dog and any other dog that is with me and wants to join in. While most of my experience has been with big dogs, I will work with any style and breed of dog after I meet them and we get to know each other. I also have experience working with packs of dogs, as at one time, I had a large pack of both German Shepherds, and then Ridgebacks. I also have a lot of experience working with puppies and can help with basic training. I seem to have a knack to help dogs who normally don’t eat or are very nervous when being left with someone else. I have had many boarders who’s moms and dads said were picky eaters or wouldn’t eat for a couple of days and somehow with me they eat well, don’t miss meals, and many times expand their diets. If you have a dog that takes medication I can, and have, administered meds that their parents bring. But I will only administer prescription meds written by a licensed veterinarian to the specific dog with explicit instructions. Bottom line, I don’t just “board” dogs. They are part of the family and treated as such until you get back. They Are talked to, interacted with by my dogs and myself and my husband all day long. They aren’t just put in a room or left outside to fend for themselves. They are truly being loved and cared for from the minute they are dropped off until the minute you pick them up. My husband and I are retired so I am full time at home now. So I can board 7 days a week. And overnight care at my house will be my specialty as you never have to worry about your dog being left for hours during the day or night. I have a very “dog friendly” home. That being said my house is clean and fairly tidy. I clean daily to make sure the dogs are in the best environment. My goal is to have your dog go home with you better than when they came. If they are full of mud from playing outside in the rain they will be washed and dried before they go home. If their nails are too long I will cut them (if the dog allows). If they need to be brushed, I will brush them and often give them a massage…this is especially good for the nervous dogs. If they are scared and feel nervous they will be returned happy and calm from being pampered while you were away. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture including our bed and can play inside or outside with my dogs who are very friendly to other dogs and people. I don’t crate any of my dogs and don’t require dogs that stay with me to be crated during the day or night. If you prefer your dog to be crated at night I will follow your instructions if you bring the crate that they are used to. Many of the dogs that I board sleep in our bed but they also have very plush beds throughout our home that they can sleep on overnight or during the day for naps. Wherever they feel more comfortable sleeping is fine with me even if they don’t want to be in our room with us and our dogs.

Teddy is fully vaccinated and can provide proof, so no need to worry! I ran and walked dogs in college for 2 years and I loved it. I've had numerous dogs in my life time and I make sure the dog is comfortable and ready to enjoy the time with us! This stay be a dogs most enjoyable time of the day, so making it fun especially with our Berner while getting to the point is crucial. Whatever piece of equipment like leash, harness, collar or piece of walking equipment you prefer for your dog I will work with. Comfortability is huge for pups/dogs. Crate would be preferred if not potty trained. I can let pups out to pee during the night. We want your dogs stay to be the best and would be grateful for your trust in us!

“We have had our Border Collie for 5 years and the longest she has been apart from us is 2 nights. We needed boarding for 7 nights. We worked with Allison and had Cookie stay for 1 night, then 2 and finally 3 nights before our trip. When we dropped her off for the 7 night stay, Cookie barked at the door and was excited to go in. It made us feel much better about leaving her. When we picked her up she was healthy and happy. I can’t thank or recommend Allison enough.”

“Jared did an excellent job boarding Fiona, a ~2.5 year old pit mix that is brand new to our home. Jared came over for a meet and greet, where he let Fiona snuggle up to him which he interspersed with little checks, like touching her ears or feet to see how she responded. We sat in the back yard for a while talking about Fiona, his dog Bart, and his background - and after a while he suggested that he thought it would work well to board her at his place. I brought Fiona over there to see how she did in that environment, and she was very comfortable there. Jared sent me photos and updates throughout, reporting on how Fiona and Bart were doing together. They started with short play sessions until they got more familiar with each other. “Gary and Carol were both outstanding in watching Baker for the night. We visited our son in Portland from Eastern Washington for one day to see our son and we relied on ratings to choose them. Everything people said was correct. Very responsive with communications before during and after the boarding. They sent pictures and let us know Baker was doing fine during the stay which relieved some of our anxiety not knowing anyone in the area. Bottom line, Baker had a great time with their dog Brady. We highly recommend Gary & Carol for any of your boarding needs. We will definitely contact them for our next trip to the Portland area.”
