About: I have always loved dogs. I grew up with a black lab (age 5-18), and when I was in high school I frequently watched dogs and cats in a pet sitting capacity. Pet sitting for neighbors and friends was my first job, and as soon as I got my drivers license, I expanded my pet sitting clientele. As an adult, my husband and I had a rescue dog (Pitt/lab mix) who was our fur baby. When we adopted her, she had separation anxiety and resource guarding issues. We worked with a trainer to help her overcome those issues, and were grateful for the wonderful years we enjoyed with her. Unfortunately, she died in early 2025. While we are not in a position to have our own dog right now, we would love to continue to snuggle and support local dogs through pet sitting. We do have a toddler at home. She loves dogs and we would never leave her unattended with any animal. While we will be careful to ensure any dogs in our care are set up for success by being separated from our toddler with baby gates, etc., we are only able to host dogs who are comfortable around small children. I am a middle school teacher, so I have full-time availability during school breaks and the summer. I am also available to drop in before and/or after my work, depending on the location. My husband, Cristopher, works from home and loves having a dog as his co-worker to be let out on demand. As dog owners, we never left our own dog home alone for more than 4-5 hours, and we will only accept a boarding booking if our schedule allows the same time commitment to your dog. We treat all dogs like they are our own. As a former pet parent, I know that I can never replace you, but I will do everything I can to make sure your dog feels comfortable and safe in my care. We have a fenced yard with no animals in our home (except for the occasional wild bunny). Our yard has plenty of space for dogs to run around and play.

“Left my pups (and houseplants) with Jenny while I was gone on vacation over the Christmas holidays. She was great, and the pups were pooped when I brought them home! I happened to have a vet appointment for Max that I'd scheduled a couple of days after my vacation. Both dogs had lost a few pounds, yeah! And Max's back right knee was doing very well, no swelling, heat or favoring. Jenny and her family did a great job with keeping an eye on him and keeping him from overdoing it. They were also very understanding when I managed to screw up my pickup date. I'd inadvertently written down my return flight on the day before it was actually scheduled, so I'd scheduled their pickup time for the next day, just about at the time when my flight was supposed to depart. And of course, the flight was delayed about two and a half hours. Luckily, I was able to pick them up about 5 hours after the designated pickup time. I will definitely be looking to her for boarding again in the future!”

We have been dog sitting in our home for over 5 years but took a break from Rover as we were taking care of our senior corgi. After our dog crossed the rainbow bridge we decided to open our home back up to dogs again. We have 1 dog, Toby, and we're blessed to be able to both work from home full time. About: I have always loved dogs. I grew up with a black lab (age 5-18), and when I was in high school I frequently watched dogs and cats in a pet sitting capacity. Pet sitting for neighbors and friends was my first job, and as soon as I got my drivers license, I expanded my pet sitting clientele. As an adult, my husband and I had a rescue dog (Pitt/lab mix) who was our fur baby. When we adopted her, she had separation anxiety and resource guarding issues. We worked with a trainer to help her overcome those issues, and were grateful for the wonderful years we enjoyed with her. Unfortunately, she died in early 2025. While we are not in a position to have our own dog right now, we would love to continue to snuggle and support local dogs through pet sitting. We do have a toddler at home. She loves dogs and we would never leave her unattended with any animal. While we will be careful to ensure any dogs in our care are set up for success by being separated from our toddler with baby gates, etc., we are only able to host dogs who are comfortable around small children. I am a middle school teacher, so I have full-time availability during school breaks and the summer. I am also available to drop in before and/or after my work, depending on the location. My husband, Cristopher, works from home and loves having a dog as his co-worker to be let out on demand. As dog owners, we never left our own dog home alone for more than 4-5 hours, and we will only accept a boarding booking if our schedule allows the same time commitment to your dog. We treat all dogs like they are our own. As a former pet parent, I know that I can never replace you, but I will do everything I can to make sure your dog feels comfortable and safe in my care. We have a fenced yard with no animals in our home (except for the occasional wild bunny). Our yard has plenty of space for dogs to run around and play.

Gary was so kind and flexible with my booking mistake on the pick-up day, which we greatly appreciated!! Chloe was nervous at drop-off but seemed to settle in quickly and have a great time. “Left my pups (and houseplants) with Jenny while I was gone on vacation over the Christmas holidays. She was great, and the pups were pooped when I brought them home! I happened to have a vet appointment for Max that I'd scheduled a couple of days after my vacation. Both dogs had lost a few pounds, yeah! And Max's back right knee was doing very well, no swelling, heat or favoring. Jenny and her family did a great job with keeping an eye on him and keeping him from overdoing it. They were also very understanding when I managed to screw up my pickup date. I'd inadvertently written down my return flight on the day before it was actually scheduled, so I'd scheduled their pickup time for the next day, just about at the time when my flight was supposed to depart. And of course, the flight was delayed about two and a half hours. Luckily, I was able to pick them up about 5 hours after the designated pickup time. I will definitely be looking to her for boarding again in the future!”
“Kimo is officially Connor's sitter. Connor usually stays with family for when my husband and I go out of town. We just moved to Portland just over a year and it's just the 3 of us, no family to watch him. I came on Rover and saw Kimo's profile and decided to message him. He responded very quickly and answered all my questions and concerns about leaving Connor with him, he made me feel very comfortable. Connor was with Kimo a week, and everyday he sent pictures, videos, and responded to my text immediately. I highly recommend Kimo to watch your fur baby/babies.”
“We had a great experience with Debbie for an extended weekend stay! This was our first time leaving Egg with someone we didn’t know, but we immediately felt at ease. Debbie is clearly a dog lover and was so understanding of Egg’s quirks . She was incredibly flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, which we really appreciated. Throughout the stay, she was communicative and sent frequent updates, pictures, and videos of Egg. I highly recommend her and would gladly leave her in Debbie's care again!”

“Heath and Amy were amazing! Super flexible with all drop off and pickup needs, they have a lovely family that clearly love animals. Our dog was super happy to spend over a week with them which isn't super common as she is typically a bit nervous about new home environments. Not in this case, she made herself right at home thanks to their welcoming presence and their own pup was the perfect playmate. We will definitely be reaching out to them for future dogsitting needs.”

“Kathy was a wonderful dog sitter for our 12 year old springer, Lilly and our 8 month old labradoodle, Zoey. She sent pictures of them on walks, playing with toys and snuggling on the couch. She administered ear medication for Lilly and I felt like she treated our dogs like her own. As I was picking them up, Kathy said “I’m going to miss them”. We’ve already booked her for our next out of town trip!”
