About: In our previous home in Missouri my husband and I frequently pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors. We moved to Washington January of 2025 and have missed the furry friends we cared for there. I have experience with large and small dogs including some elderly and some very high energy. I’ve also looked after cats, individuals and larger groups including groups with various feeding needs. I work virtually and can be available most week days for daytime pet sitting in homes that have consistent internet access or drop ins a few times a day. On weekends my availability varies but I can typically plan for drop in and overnight care with at least 1 week notice. I am married and may request my spouse be allowed to stay with me or drop by in longer term sitting situations. Whether it’s a walk or a week together I’ll try to treat your pet with the same care and attention you would. Allowing you to feel comfortable while you are away. About: Before coming back to the vet field I used to work as a pet nanny solely to a family with 7 dogs and 3 cats at one time while also managing that households chores and responsibilities- including cleaning and gardening. I currently work 3 days a week from 7am-6pm Mon,Tues,Fri, and have large availability around that. I can do stop ins and spend the night on work days, and spend all day at your place when discussed ahead of time. I have 2 children, a 10 year old boy, named Orion, and my daughter Kaylee, who would have been 22 years old, unfortunately she passed away from a car accident in 2020. I grew up in a little country town in CA. And was raised with animals. My grandpa was a big animal lover, and we had everything from a baby bear cub to kittens. I was in FFA for 4 years and raised a pig all 4 years to sell at the fair. Shawn is from the Arlington area and was also raised with animals. He has raised everything from goats to kittens. We feel that your pets aren't just pets, but more like a child, and we know the importance of finding the right care for your Fur-Babies. A majority of the pets we have cared for have been rescue pets. The the transition for them is hard enough as it is being left at a stranger's house, and we don't want to make that transition any more difficult for them. We ask that you bring an item with them, something that they associate with you and home. Also we ask for these items as well: food, food bowl, and water bowl, bed or bedding, toys they may want to play with, treats, and of course a daily interaction log ( we want to keep them on the same routine that they are use to, or as close to it as we can) I also try and send pictures daily, but in the off chance I miss a day, I send extra shots the next day. If we sound like a good fit for you, we are always happy to set up a meet and greet at our place for introductions. (We have also taken in fur-kids without meet and greets.) “April is absolute magic! She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and has created such a wonderful space for the dogs. We left our two dogs with her for four days and felt completely at ease the entire time. She kept us updated, shared helpful insights on how we can continue improving our dogs’ behavior, and took exceptional care of our fur babies. We are so grateful for her and will absolutely be using her again and again!”

After a trial period, we took her back for the real stay and she was wagging her tail and seemed to be excited to run up to his front door. We definitely recommend Art!”
