Since moving to Whidbey Island 11 years ago I have worked professionally to care for animals on a number of levels from Dog Runner to Veterinarian Technician. Though I don't have any fur-babies currently, my husband and I heartbreakingly lost our two beloved fur-kids to cancer since moving here - a Husky mix and a Pitbull mix, I still find joy in caring for others' pets. About: I’ve had two different dogs in my family since I was born. I have been responsible for feeding and cleaning up after my most recent dog. I graduated from the University of Denver and have spent 2+ months in the last year staying overnight to care for clients’ pets and homes. I am young and in fairly good shape, so I can run with dogs if requested! I have experience walking not only my dog, but various friends’ dogs. I get along well with all kinds of animals, but I am most familiar with dogs. Both of my family’s pets have been medium sized dogs, but I have done some dog sitting for both larger and smaller breeds. These span from Shih Tzu to Pitbulls to full sized Poodles. I can’t wait to meet your four legged friends!! I am looking for a furry friend to join me on my after class walks! I typically walk 1.5-3 miles, so hopefully your pup will be tired out I make sure when I come in that there is enough water and/or food in the bowl, then promptly take them outside. About: I have taken care of my own pets and those of friends and family when they go on vacation etc. i have all sorts of expiration e from sick animals to healthy ones and old dogs to puppies. I also love cats and kittens. I find it relaxing to play with animals! I currently have two cars and a dog of my own! I have a exotic short hair with eye problems that needs eye drops daily plus I feed all my animals twice a day! And take my dog for 3 walks! With love and affection! About: I have worked with shelter dogs for about six years and I have had quite a bit of training on dog behavior, handling, and socializing. My past shelter job required me to become SAFER certified in order to do behavior assessments on dogs coming in. I have worked with hundreds of dogs with a wide variety of behavior issues. As the dog care lead for my last shelter I oversaw the care of up to 120 dogs at a time. Part of the dogs care included medicating, I am familiar with many common health issues and medications and am comfortable administering all forms of medications. I have one small dog of my own, a neutered male that likes other dogs. Right now I am only looking for like sized dogs male or female (20 pounds and under) or very calm bigger dogs to babysit. I live on a small dahlia farm - about two acres, unfenced. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in bed but you can provide their bedding if you think they’d prefer it. While our house is being built we live in a 2 bedroom “mother in law”. It is small so not ideal for active bigger dogs right now. I only sit one dog at a time, unless the dogs come from the same household or they are known friends and okayed by both families. I have a small dahlia farm so I work from home! I have free range chickens and one senior dog. My typical day revolves around taking care of the animals and flowers. Right now our yard isn’t fenced but it’s a summer goal! I take the dogs for a walk in the morning and then out for potty breaks every couple hours after that.

When necessary we have gates to seperate upstairs and downstairs areas, so if your pet needs some private time on their own couch, it’s available to them! At your house, I treat your space with the same level of care I give your pets. I’ll make sure the mail is brought in, your plants are watered, the house stays tidy, and the locks are triple checked. Because I work with rescued animals, I’m also very intentional about maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize any anxiety while you’re away. When we’re out, I’m hyper-vigilant about leash safety and harness checks. If your dog is a flight risk or just easily spooked, I have the experience to keep them focused, happy, and secure. I know I need lots of updates when I’m on vacation, so you’ll get plenty of photos from me from each visit! No judgement if you’re a helicopter pet parent, I promise 😉

I have a 6yo large dog who loves other dogs and will enjoy company. Dogs at my house can be on the furniture or the bed, or crated as you desire. I know what it is like to leave your baby, so I am happy to care for them in any way you'd like. I can do a 25-30 min walk with them in my neighborhood, and or I can let them run in the yard with a ball or a frisbee. You let me know! If you need me to come to you, no problem. I can come check on them, walk them, play with them, or whatever you need!

I have worked in veterinary clinics in the past for 6 years before I changed careers and would really love the chance to take care of your baby while you’re away! If you have any questions in particular please feel free to contact me! I am available most days of the week and weekends. I have worked with dogs for over 10 years and can read them very well. I have patience with puppies and I also have experience with senior and special needs dogs to include administering medications by mouth or subcutaneously. I have pets of my own, I let them out every morning and we play while outside with my kids. If I can, or if requested, I will walk them after work. I currently do not have dogs of my own and I have a fenced yard. Dogs will not be left in the yard unattended and the neighborhood is great for walking around. About: I have taken care of my own pets and those of friends and family when they go on vacation etc. i have all sorts of expiration e from sick animals to healthy ones and old dogs to puppies. I also love cats and kittens. I find it relaxing to play with animals! I currently have two cars and a dog of my own! I have a exotic short hair with eye problems that needs eye drops daily plus I feed all my animals twice a day! And take my dog for 3 walks! With love and affection! Animals deserve nothing but the best! I love to give treats and play with animals whatever makes them happy and trust me! Everyday I make sure my animals have everything they need such as food and water. We go on daily walks and I clean the cat boxes daily. I also love to spoil my animals with treats. If I were to watch someone else’s animals I would treat them as my own and also give them lots of love and cuddles/ play games and go for walks! And of course always clean up after them!
About: Ive grown up with cats and dogs my whole life. I spent a lot of time with my cousin being a breeder taking her dogs to shows, I have learned how to take care of dogs and how to approach the ones that can be a handful at times. I work a full time Monday- friday job but on my lunches I can stop by for check ins and walks and after work as well. Weekends are always open too. If doing check ins I can clean up any accidents and make sure they are fed and have water(depending on feeding schedules) and I always have local parks and routes pre planned for a good walk
