I miss the company of pets and thought this would be an excellent way to have my pet fix by taking care of other peoples pets. Please bring your pets bed or if he or she is comfortable they are free to sleep with me and sit on any couch or chair in the house. I would love to take them for walks to the beach if you approve. About: I have worked with shelter dogs for about six years and I have had quite a bit of training on dog behavior, handling, and socializing. My past shelter job required me to become SAFER certified in order to do behavior assessments on dogs coming in. I have worked with hundreds of dogs with a wide variety of behavior issues. As the dog care lead for my last shelter I oversaw the care of up to 120 dogs at a time. Part of the dogs care included medicating, I am familiar with many common health issues and medications and am comfortable administering all forms of medications. I have one small dog of my own, a neutered male that likes other dogs. Right now I am only looking for like sized dogs male or female (20 pounds and under) or very calm bigger dogs to babysit. I live on a small dahlia farm - about two acres, unfenced. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in bed but you can provide their bedding if you think they’d prefer it. While our house is being built we live in a 2 bedroom “mother in law”. It is small so not ideal for active bigger dogs right now. I only sit one dog at a time, unless the dogs come from the same household or they are known friends and okayed by both families. I have a small dahlia farm so I work from home! I have free range chickens and one senior dog. My typical day revolves around taking care of the animals and flowers. Right now our yard isn’t fenced but it’s a summer goal! I take the dogs for a walk in the morning and then out for potty breaks every couple hours after that.

About: Lifelong animal lover here. Most of my four leggeds have been rescues. I have been an animal mom for several decades. I have experience with puppies, kittens, dogs and cats, special needs animals and senior care. Over the last few years I had to say goodbye to my two senior pets that I had for 17 and 15 years. I miss them immensely but am not ready to take on another pet full-time at this juncture. That's where you and your beloved pets come in. I love animals and they usually love me! I am semi-retired with a super flexible schedule so I can give lots of time and attention to your loved one. I have been a Special Education teacher and a mental health counselor and am consequently, patient, calm and nurturing. I am good in an emergency, and I have learned to never back people or animals into a corner. As a result, everyone's safety is ensured. That being said, I am not comfortable working with aggressive tendencies and prefer small and medium sized dogs, seniors and special need critters. I prefer to work between 8am and 8pm, Monday through Saturday but feel free to ask if you need something outside those hours. Ideally, I hope to connect with a few clients that I can take care of their pets on a regular basis. I am open to dog walking and drop in visits at your place (to let outside, feed, water, snuggle, cuddle and companionship. I like to give pets their space until they get comfortable with me. I have a calm reassuring energy and animals tend to respond well to it. I am good at reading animals and follow their lead when it comes to their comfort. I have used baby gates as needed with my own critters, I always leash up (harnesses preferred) before opening a door, kennels (door open) are highly encouraged as a safe spot for pets to feel secure if they are anxious. Thank you for your consideration. ~Claudia I am a retired RN so your dog(s) would have me to keep them company all day along with our own 2 dogs (4 yr old Basset Hound and 8yr old English Springer Spaniel) who both neutered very dog friendly males. We have a lovely fully fenced 8+ acres property and comfy home for your dog(s) to have the run of along with our 2 dogs. We are both home all day and there is always someone here at all times. No dog is left home alone. We also have a caretaker who tends to the the 2 horses and mini donkey (whom live in separate pastures from the main property, as well as / goats that live in a back pasture. We have a fully fenced 8 acre property with a four ft fence. Dogs are free to have access to entire property as well as free range indoors. We have a very comfortable home with a large wrap around deck and 5 exits. So it’s in/out all day as much as any dog wants/needs. It’s truly doggie heaven here and most people want to stay themselves when they drop off their dogs. We don’t care for more than 2 at a time.
About: We’re two young professionals that love animals! Tom’s a video producer & Evelyn’s an engineer. We have years of fostering experience and professional K9 behavior and obedience training! For the past couple of years we were traveling in our self converted camper van, but now we’ve settled down in Port Townsend with our 2 dogs and you can always find us camping or hiking! We have experience with the biggest of dogs, down to the smallest of kittens! Let us know what your buddy needs and we’ll take care of it! Typically, if one of us isn’t available, the other one is. We usually leave our doggo’s at home, for simplicity, and take turns on the visits. Any questions or requests, just let us know! ¡También hablo español! We have flexible schedules so it is no problem at all to fit your pups into our daily lives! We are free to care for them anytime of the day! We are very mindful of trying to maintain the same routine that your pet is used to. If they're couch potatoes, we'll lounge and watch a movie, if they're active, we'll go out for a long walk or run. If they need a treat after every walk or to be told they're a good girl whenever they're being a good girl, they'll get it!

I love to go for walks on the beach or in the woods. I like to chase sunsets and sunrises. All of which are more enjoyable with sweet creatures. I adore giving affection and opportunities to play for both cats and dogs. I have tended to a variety of different types of animals over the years. Some need ample one on one attention. Which I accommodate by giving them solo walks and separate meal times when requested. Others who loved to be social or had other animal roommates that needed plenty of outdoor time. Elder cats and dogs who needed extra special care, medication, fluids, and special diets. Dog and cat drop ins can make a world of difference for an animal navigating extended time away from their people/person. I give them all focused attention, consideration, bonding interactions and love. Dog walks are a vital key to their health and well being. It takes a village to tend to our critters too! Human and animal. I have many special spots for them to enjoy throughout the Olympic Peninsula. Including safe off leash areas when requested. I have a 7 year old dog, Hoodi. She does not come with me for cat or dog drop ins. Dog walks can include her company or not, always at your discretion. She does join me for overnight pet sitting and loves other dogs. She tends towards submissive and loves to chase and play. She is very mellow indoors and enjoys watching the activity of others. Throughout her life she has helped with pet sits. For her first four years of life she lived with two other dogs. She is a great addition to any pack. I have experience farm sitting which includes plant watering of green house, gardens, field and pasture. As well as goat milking, poultry care, and feeding of cows, horses, goats and pigs. Occasionally I will work in Port Angeles, Joyce, Forks, Queets, Poulsbo, Kingston, Bremerton, Bainbridge and Silverdale. I prefer extended house sits and like to build solid bonds with animals. I currently work seasonally teaching art based school break kids camps and afterschool programing on the Olympic Peninsula. I spend the rest of my time making art from home and adventuring outdoors. This means I can have extended quality time with your pet(s) for walks and/or outdoor play and indoor care. Summer is my busiest season as a teacher. I have less availability during it. I believe maintaining routines and exercise is important for the physical and emotional well being of all animals. I will strive to uphold this and adapt my schedule as best as I can for your pet(s). About: I’ve had dogs around me all my life from puppies to elderly care, from changing diapers to walks, I take care of all dogs equally. I am part-time with a flexible schedule and free in the winter for now, so I am able to spend time with your fur babies any time. I love my current dog of 6 years but she cautious of other animals so I am unable to house any animals but I am able to care for pets at their own home where they are comfortable.

“Sheena took great care of our 4-month old puppy and 4-year old Moodle. We did a meet and greet and our nervous puppy liked her immediately. During our trip, we got pictures and updates whenever we asked for them as Sheena responded quickly. When we picked them up, we got a full report of everything they did with a wonderful update on eating, playing, pooping, etc. Sheena is very experienced and provided dog and child socialization for our puppy in a safe and structured environment.
