“Samantha was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations. I had an emergency and she was able to take my 3 Basset Hounds within a couple of hours. They stayed with her for a week. My dogs were welcomed with open arms and treated exactly how they are at home- even getting to sleep in bed with her and snuggle time on the couch. She always responded to my messages within minutes, and sent me several updates, pictures, and videos of my babies every day. She also made sure to ask questions about habits, personalities, medications, feeding, etc. I was so scared to drop them off, but Samantha quickly eased my anxiety, making sure I knew they were okay and adjusting well. I cant recommend her enough. Ellie is hard to win over and within a couple of days I find out that she is following Samantha all over the house. A very impressive feat. She will be my first contact should I need to board my babies again. Thank you, Samantha for making a stressful situation the easiest it could have been, and for taking such good care of my girls.”

About: I have grown up with dogs and other animals. They have always been apart of my life. I had 10 dogs at once for about 4 years. I am very patient and understanding. Good with any puke, poop and pee, it doesn’t bother me. Love dogs and will do any special things that need done. I am currently an Eastern Student and have class from 9-12 and work part time at safeway from about 1-7 as of right now. I am planning on doing online class starting in January and planning on working like 8am-2pm at Safeway starting in December. So I will be more flexible in the coming months. Can do early morning and late nights if needed I will keep things clean and tidy while in others home. Will take dog on leash if not fenced in. Will make sure dog has food and water if they aren’t schedule fed.

About: As a young kid, my family bred Saint Bernards. By all means, I am from a "dog family." I grew up walking, feeding, cleaning stalls, etc. dogs much larger than me. I currently work as a "hand" maintaining a lower-maintenance property in the greater Spokane County. This arrangement is semi-formal and provides ample flexibility in my schedule to meet the needs of your pet family. About: I have had a dog since I was 5 and as I got older my responsibilities for pet care increased. I love all dogs as my own and have experience watching other dogs overnight. I am currently working part time in the afternoon. Roughly 3-4 hours a day. Before work I will ensure your dog’s needs are meet with bathroom breaks, breakfast and exercise. After work I am fully their for your furry friend is that means more exercise or companionship. During work your pet is free to roam my house if they are trained or I have a crate they can use. I have a fenced yard and 3 furry friends to keep your fur baby company. We have the ability to crate if desired. I will send daily updates and will exercise at least once a day.

About: I adore all breeds and sizes. I've cared for a dog most every year of my life, whether I was a student, working, vacationing, or just existing. Those years have trained me to read them well as far as knowing what they are communicating at any given time. I find it difficult to be without a furry friend. However, I'm retired and thinking of traveling in the future, so thought this Rover program would give me my "dog fix" until I'm ready to start my traveling. I've had babies, adults, and teens when it comes to dogs, and many varieties; Border Collies, German Shepherds, Irish Setters, Poodles, Golden Retrievers, Old English Sheepdogs, Terriers, and have trained and loved them all! I'm retired but do go to a recreational center daily to work out and swim, so I'm available for dog sitting, playing, and walking M-F after 1PM. And weekends after noon. I have a fenced yard partly in sun and partly in shade. I also have a dog door from inside the house out to the yard, so your dog can go outside anytime the urge hits. I'm also within 1 mile of 3 parks and the Finch Arboretum.

About: Took care of a natural history museum’s (Sternberg natural history museum) animals for a year. Did the same at a zoo (Rolling Hills Zoo) for 6 years. Studying wildlife biology / pre vet science with the end goal of being a wildlife veterinarian. I’ve personally owned pets all my life including many dogs, cats, fish, insects and lizards. About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats all my life. I’m a huge animal lover, and have experience with cats, dogs, horses, fish, parrots, and chickens. I moved from Virginia to Washington to attend grad school at Eastern Washington University. In California, I was a hospice caretaker for a 21 year old dog with cancer. I know how to give medicine as well as cook for your pet’s special dietary needs if necessary. I’m a super active person so I don’t mind going on long walks with your dog. I enjoy the exercise! I have experience with a wide range of breeds and even have experience with coyotes! I can give cats insulin as well. Whatever your pet needs, I can provide. I teach one English comp course Mon-Fri from 9am to 9:50am. I have class on Tuesday night from 5:30 to about 9:30 and two short classes Friday afternoon so most days are pretty wide open for pet care. I also get every holiday off. Unfortunately I just moved into a small apartment that doesn’t allow pets, but I’m happy to pet sit at your home and give your pet a safe environment to play in.

About: I have over 8 years of experience caring for the pets of my family, friends, and neighbors. As a pet sitter, I enjoy providing customized care for animals of all personalities and energy levels, taking energetic pets for walks and snuggling with sleepier fur babies on the couch. I prioritize consistent, friendly communication with pet owners and always ensure expectations regarding routine and feeding are met in a timely, accurate fashion. I'm also more than willing to accommodate your household needs, such as getting the mail or taking care of trash/recycling. About: I have owned many pets throughout my childhood. To say what kind of experience I have would take more than 125 words because each pet has their own personality and style and I adapt to exactly what your pets need and want. If they want cuddles, they get cuddles. If they want space, they get space. I’m home almost all day so they will get all the attention they ever want(or the space they need). I aim to make them happy! Non smoke home with a big spacious living room to play or rest in. I’ve been dog walking/pet sitting since I was a teen and miss doing that. I love hiking and anything outdoorsy so I’m always up for being outside as well. If you have any questions please reach out! I’m a stay at home mom so I’ll be able to easily take your pup out on walks and quick potty breaks. We don’t have a fenced yard but have a shared yard out in the back as well as a park nearby. I walk them right before I would leave to run any errands and usually don’t take long. I follow the instructions provided so that its not stressful for the pup as well as the pet owner. I send updates on how the pup is doing and what we’re up to. We go out on walks a lot. If it’s okay with the owner than I take the pup out on a shorter hike with my daughter. I make sure to grab water too! At home we see what kind of personality the pup has because some aren’t as active and would rather cuddle while others like to play play play.

“Samantha was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations. I had an emergency and she was able to take my 3 Basset Hounds within a couple of hours. They stayed with her for a week. My dogs were welcomed with open arms and treated exactly how they are at home- even getting to sleep in bed with her and snuggle time on the couch. She always responded to my messages within minutes, and sent me several updates, pictures, and videos of my babies every day. She also made sure to ask questions about habits, personalities, medications, feeding, etc. I was so scared to drop them off, but Samantha quickly eased my anxiety, making sure I knew they were okay and adjusting well. I cant recommend her enough. Ellie is hard to win over and within a couple of days I find out that she is following Samantha all over the house. A very impressive feat. She will be my first contact should I need to board my babies again. Thank you, Samantha for making a stressful situation the easiest it could have been, and for taking such good care of my girls.”
