About: I focus on making cats feel as comfortable, safe, and stress-free as possible, whether they’re in my home or their own familiar environment. I know every cat has different routines, personalities, and comfort levels, so I always try to adapt to what works best for them. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the space and the cats routine. I make sure feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, medications (if needed), playtime, and overall care stay consistent so cats feel secure while their owner is away. I also give plenty of affection and attention while still respecting boundaries, especially with shy or anxious animals. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and comfort, and I make sure pets have plenty of attention and downtime depending on their needs. I also believe communication is really important, so I like to send updates and photos whenever possible to help owners feel reassured while they’re away from their pets- and who doesn’t love extra cute pictures of their pets!

About: Hi, my name is marissa, i have always grown up taking care of dogs, we have fostered a lot of dogs and we absolutely adore each and every one of them! i do have 3 children under 4 in home as well as 2 dogs of my own so they need to be dog and children friendly! i am a stay at home mama to 3 beautiful children and it’s driving me nuts to not be able to work so i am hoping rover is going to be able to help me with that! we have a fully fenced in back yard with a 2 story house for them to roam and play! i have lots of toys so no need for those! we have 3 boys under 4 so no aggressive dogs! Potty training is preferred but its okay if not as i can accommodate to 30 min to an hour between potty breaks!

However the client prefers. I am adaptable and willing to learn. I have worked with special needs dogs, older dogs, and have a lot of experience with puppies. I am a novice trainer and groomer as well so my whole world is centered around animals!

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, managed and milked dairy cattle, and took care of pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day. I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins! Safety is extremely important during both house sitting & walks! For walks, I like to make sure dogs stay on the side of the sidewalk away from the road, as well as being properly harnessed and equipped with essential needs like poop bags and water incase of an emergency. I also keep a sharp eye out for other dogs to steer clear from unwanted interactions. Additionally, during house sitting, outside doors stay locked at all times, and your pet is watched 24/7. No escapes will happen on my watch! I am open to following any other rules, expectations or suggestions you have regarding your pet & house’s safety!

“Sola & Kevin were great with our "special needs" dog - she is HIGHLY dog reactive so needs some extra care to ensure she doesn't get near another dog. Their home is comfortable and they are careful about security. Our dog was happy there and we were happy that she was safe!”

“Melody was wonderful. We left our Nemo with her for 4 days, this was a first since we adopted Nemo. We got picture updates everyday which made my heart smile to see he was having a good time and being taken care of like he was her own. He was having such a good time that when we went to pick him up, it took a minute for him to realize it was time to go, I think he wanted to stay. hehe. Thank you again Melody and we will for sure use you again when we go out of town.”
