Rigby is a rescue who we've had since October so we are still figuring him out; he's almost 12 so we are the ones likely going to be making the adjustments versus him. Thanks to John's relaxed nature, we felt comfortable entrusting Rigby with him for overnight care. I have my own transportation and have been first aid certified so I know what to look for at the first signs of any trouble with pets. I have a pond and couldn’t let it go to waste so i added ducks and geese! One of my cats gets medication, two of my dogs gets medication as well. I trim all my cats nails, one of them i have my husband hold for me because it’s not his favorite thing in the world. I trim all my dogs nails. My little dog gets bathed every 3 weeks (he has really bad allergies). I’m really open to getting to know any animal!

I also have a fully fenced yard, if you and your dog are searching for warm, comfortable overnight accommodations. Please reply and we’ll discuss arrangements, rates, and build a system of comfort and exercise for your dog. I am trying to retire, which for me, involves lots of time with dogs. So I am readily available to care for your pets in a daily, weekly, or whatever basis works with your schedule. My dog, and so yours as well, will be well attended to. I don’t allow dogs on the furniture, and I prefer to not use cages, but am happy to if your dog is used to or prefers that type of structure to be comfy. I have plenty of dog beds for comfort, I use all naturally made and healthy dog treats. I have a fully fenced yard which is occasionally visited by brave squirrels, so activity and amusement is plentiful. There are a number of toys, ropes, balls, bones and other chew toys for those dogs who simply need some time to chew and think about life in general. Dogs are put out when they need it, and let in when it’s time to nap. Just as it should be.

“Margaret is extremely conscientious and dedicated. She did say thorough call to understand my dog's behaviors and needs. Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. She even suggested ways to help training progress with fewer treats and more praise as Carly improves her threshold around other dogs. Margaret not only came through on short notice, but she instantly built a relationship with both us and our dog which means she will be my go-to walker and sitter from now on.”
About: I have been dog walking for friends and families for about 10 years now with a variety of dogs!
