“Nova is an absolute lifesaver! Our cat Figaro is a nervous and finicky guy - he is anxious around new people and has a habit of eating anything he finds on floor (including plastic). We were nervous about finding someone who could handle his quirks, but Nova exceeded all expectations. Not only did she diligently follow our highly detailed care instructions, (including doing our morning ritual of a treat scavenger hunt), but she also went the extra mile by leaving a jacket with her scent to make the cats comfortable and watering to our garden. Figaro requires a topical medication, and given his shyness we were worried about how it would go, but Nova was able to administer his meds without issue. Jupiter is very easy going and just needs some love, so we know she loved Nova. We received photos with every visit, and each of them showed our cats relaxed and content. Thanks to Nova, we were able to enjoy a much-needed vacation without worrying about our kitties. We haven't been able to travel comfortably in years, and she made it possible. I’m an experienced sitter, and somehow find myself often accepting interesting duties for unique pets. I’ve given injections, medicines, and haircuts to animals. I do my very best to love on your fur-babies the way they want to be loved, even the hard-to-love ones, with everything I have. I am reliable, trustworthy (because I fear God), and accommodating. Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your little ones, and you, as happy as can be! If boarding your pet is your preference, you should know that I do have a smaller apartment; two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and bathroom, but small. I’ve found that some people want a little more space for their really big, multiple dogs. That’s okay, you should just be aware. But I’m also near a large college campus and it works well for walking your dogs with a lot of open space and plenty of plush, green grass. I also prefer to meet at a public space before meeting at my home — I’ve found that accepting a job must go both ways for your safety and for mine. If we decide that I should stay at your house for looking after pets, you should know that I live as if you have cameras in every room, except the bathroom, of course, because to me, God is with me and sees all anyway. It’s important to me that you know that this is my point of view in caring for your pets and home when you are away — with the most respect possible. There’s enough evil in the world, we don’t need any more, and I refuse to contribute to it. You should also be aware that I have a resident cat, and when I’m boarding your pets, she is either tucked away in the spare room (she doesn’t mind and is kind of a loner), or can be out with your pets, depending on your pet’s attitude with cats. But whether or not we decide that my cat can be out when your pets are, you should be informed that my house likely has plenty of cat dander in case you are highly allergic or sensitive to that. In any case, I am a big fan of the Rover app and have had many wonderful experiences through this platform boarding and housesitting pets, and I advocate for several other pet sitters on the app whom I personally know. I want to be clear, however, as I’ve had this issue in the past, if you expect me to be home 24/7 with your pet, I cannot accommodate that request. I’m home more often than most, yes, but not continuously all day, every day. I have a decent backyard to walk pups in, and love to take dogs on walks in the evening, even in the cold, which I actually prefer over hot. I will say that I cannot handle overnight stays in a client’s home without A/C in warm weather.

About: I have been a house sitter, farm sitter for many years. I am currently working for a dog boarding and dog grooming facility. I have a quiet gentle personality that lets the dogs know I’m safe and kind and they warm up to me quickly! I can’t wait to meet more dogs and take them for walks! About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 12, it started with my sister's dog and I've slowly expanded to neighbors and friends loving pets! Im good with knowing their body language so I know how to react appropriately. Im used to long walks with dogs. I make sure the dog is happy. Im a part time photographer so I'm almost always home! I do school online so I won't be gone during the day. I have time for 2-3 walks a day, lots of play time. I have a fenced yard to let them out if it's an emergency or if they just want to run. I take dogs on 2-3 walks a day depending on what the dog wants. I let dogs sleep with me in my bed, I love cuddling on the couch as well. I love playing tug of war. If the dog gets messy while at my house I will give them a bath. If brushing is part of their routine I will gladly do that! I love playing with pets! They will have all my attention unless they want to be left alone.

About: i’ve been dealing with pets all my life from dogs to cats and rabbits to hamsters. i love and cared for all my pets. now i want to expand my love and care to others. it fits very well, i have school first then i come come and hang out with my pets all afternoon. it’s a lot of work but i love it so much it feels light. whenever i cared for peoples animals they always come back to me again because i cared for them so well they feel so comfortable with me.
