About: Responsible dog dad and uncle in Hood River. Overnights, daycare and walks, everyone goes home happy. Had family dogs my whole life, and watched others for friends. I work from home and set my own schedule. I'm always in the same area as the dogs. I take frequent breaks and take several walks per day. I have a 60'x30' yard with a large lawn, and a very secure fence. Indoors the dogs have access to my office and kitchen, and the family room when I'm in it. I have one small friendly dog.

About: I have two dogs ages 5 & 6, I trained both of them when they were puppies. Brewer and goose love other dogs but can also be kept separate if needed. I’ve taken care of family pets since I was young and enjoy playing with animals. I currently home full time with my two children. We pop out for go to classes in the evening but are usually home Monday -Friday. We live in 6 acres of fenced in yard. Lots of room to play and throw ball. We do have an older cat that keeps to herself. Would prefer a dog that doesn’t want to chase cats.

About: Pet sitting has fallen into my lap and become a regular part of my life for the last 7 years. I love being able to spend time with so many different animals. I have had the pleasure of spending time one on one with Dogs or Cats to sitting a Great Dane, a kitty and four goats all at once. After moving back to Mt Hood, Oregon recently from Whitefish Montana I have taken a part time job working Monday - Wednesday 2:30pm - 10:30pm. I want to focus on Pet Care and am available to do so: Thursday - Sunday. I live in an apartment with a balcony. The ideal pet to stay in my home would be smaller or older and needed less space to run. I live next to a ton of quieter walking trails and can take pets out for walks as much as they need.

I don't currently have any animals of my own but while I was in graduate school I also helped care for my dads dogs. When I was a teenager, I worked at a kids camp and took care of horses during the summers. I've also had cats, a rabbit, ferrets, and a hedgehog. Bones struggles with very very bad separation anxiety, & maría reassured me from the start that he was in good hands & would not be left alone. which has been a struggle in the past with previous sitters. Bones can also have some behaviors like jumping on people or the counter tops, & she did amazing setting that boundary with him not allowing him to hustle her & get away with being a menace! María kept me updated and sent me pictures quite often which i really appreciated! Mines a coward and we'd need to check that he gets along with yours first, he'll get bullied if I'm not careful, the poor thing I stay home all day and spend as much of my time as possible outside. Your dog may come back muddy though, the messier you get the more fun you had and all! I am home all day with eyes/ears on the pets nearly constantly. I also spend so much time in environments that encourage explorative play and will keep most dogs too busy to get bored and act out in the first place. If a pet did act out, there's more than enough space in my place to separate animals and allow them to decompress. If at your place, mine is kennel trained for the same idea.

My goal is to give pet parents complete peace of mind, knowing their furry family members are loved and cared for as if they were my own. Thank you for trusting me to be a part of your dog's life. I can't wait to welcome you and your pup. I only will take pets for boarding or daycare if I am fully available. And I will be the the only person taking care of your pup. I will be slowly transitioning from full-time work out of the home, to working full-time in my home. At my home your dog becomes part of our family from the moment they arrive. Each day begins with fresh air, outdoor time, and a walk. I am fortunate to live right next to beautiful Pacific Northwest hiking trails, which we love to frequent with our canine guests. These walks provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to explore the sights and smells of nature. Back at home, dogs enjoy supervised play and socialization in my secure, fenced backyard, along with plenty of love, attention, and companionship throughout the day. Every guest has their own comfortable space to relax and unwind, ensuring the perfect balance of activity and rest. For dogs who could use a little extra pampering before heading home, I also have a dedicated grooming area complete with a professional dog bathtub. I offer baths, light grooming, brushing, and nail trims to help your pup look and feel their best. Whether your dog is an energetic adventurer, a senior companion, or has special needs, I provide personalized care in a safe, loving home environment. At my home, every dog is treated like family—because every pup deserves a home away from home.
