We are grateful that Bridgette was able to stay 24 hours a day as Percy was just too new to be left alone for long periods of time. We were delighted with the work she did for us. About: My whole life I have always had at least one dog or cat to take care of. In high school, I volunteered at an animal shelter walking dogs where it was my priority to keep them safe while getting all that energy out! I started pet sitting and house sitting for friends and family after high school. I have done obedience and potty training with puppies. I am familiar with administering oral medicines to dogs and cats. My cat has asthma, so I am also comfortable administering an inhaler. I am a student doing online classes, so my schedule is super flexible! Currently Sunday- Thursday are the days I am most available, but with enough time in advance I should be able to make most things work. Just like us, each of our pets are different, so communication is huge to me. The more I know about your pet, the more comfortable we all can be whether it’s going on a walk to pet sitting. My goal when spending time with a pet is keep them feeling comfortable and safe. All animals have their own temperament, so through our communications and my understanding of animal body language I can meet your pet where they’re at whether that is needing space or snuggles. So I can give your pet the best care, I will ask if they are reactive, have any food sensitivities, special needs, and if they have any health conditions/medications. I have 2 children, a 10 year old boy, named Orion, and my daughter Kaylee, who would have been 22 years old, unfortunately she passed away from a car accident in 2020. I grew up in a little country town in CA. And was raised with animals. My grandpa was a big animal lover, and we had everything from a baby bear cub to kittens. I was in FFA for 4 years and raised a pig all 4 years to sell at the fair. Shawn is from the Arlington area and was also raised with animals. He has raised everything from goats to kittens. We feel that your pets aren't just pets, but more like a child, and we know the importance of finding the right care for your Fur-Babies. A majority of the pets we have cared for have been rescue pets. The the transition for them is hard enough as it is being left at a stranger's house, and we don't want to make that transition any more difficult for them. We ask that you bring an item with them, something that they associate with you and home. Also we ask for these items as well: food, food bowl, and water bowl, bed or bedding, toys they may want to play with, treats, and of course a daily interaction log ( we want to keep them on the same routine that they are use to, or as close to it as we can) I also try and send pictures daily, but in the off chance I miss a day, I send extra shots the next day. If we sound like a good fit for you, we are always happy to set up a meet and greet at our place for introductions. (We have also taken in fur-kids without meet and greets.)
