The peace of mind was amazing when seeing Sterno in so many adorable pics, as well as how kind Diahann's granddaughter treated my baby as they played fetch in a wonderful video I received early on in his stay. Sterno is very active and playful, and I couldn't have requested a better sitter for him!! Diahann truly cares like it's her own dog. There are cameras, a huge yard, and Sterno was very calm during pickup, which showcased how comfortable he had been. I am adding that Diahann was very responsive to a suggested video meet, and proceeded to give a wonderful tour of her Dog-friendly and dog-safe home before Sterno's drop off date. If there’s one thing I truly understand, it’s dogs. Especially the shy, anxious, and misunderstood ones. They hold a very special place in my heart! There is no greater feeling than earning the trust of a dog who needs a little extra patience and understanding. At the shelter I worked with every type of dog imaginable, from easygoing family pups to dogs with more complex needs due to past trauma. I was trusted to walk and handle even the more anxious or sensitive dogs, helping them build confidence and learn to trust new people. I’m very comfortable reading dog body language and adjusting my approach so each dog feels safe, respected, and understood. One of the dogs I worked closely with, Donald, needed a trusted handler present while new volunteers learned how to walk him safely, and I helped train others so he could get the exercise and enrichment he deserved. I also helped start enrichment initiatives at the shelter, including treat puzzles, mental stimulation games, and a “dog play buddy” program to give the dogs additional socialization and activity. About: About me: I am a Project Engineer for a construction company, we a have a little boy and a baby on the way, and we LOVE animals! We have two beautiful horses, three wonderful dogs, and two cats. Eventually I would like to rescue a few farm animals and foster dogs. One thing that breaks my heart is seeing animals in the shelter or up for slaughter. I think every animal deserves a second shot at life and I wish I could take them all on. However I have saved a few horses from slaughter and retrained them to give them a promising future! Basically I work hard to give my animals and future animals a wonderful life! In HS I was an active FFA member which gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge from just horses, dogs, and cats to dairy cattle, goats, poultry, rabbits, and swine. I also worked for a large animal veterinarian for 2 years as a vet assistant and gained even more knowledge on how to properly care for ALL animals. Ranging from exotics, livestock, equine, dogs, and cats. So your Fur baby is in GOOD hands! At this time I am only accepting clients for drop in visits or house sitting (I do not stay the night). As we just welcomed a newborn baby into our lives. However I am available at all hours to take care of your pet needs! I look forward to working with you! About: I've taken care of many of my friends pets, dogs and cats when they are away. I absolutely love doing it! Pets are part of the family! I am currently working part time doing instacart so I am on the road and can stop whenever I need to let them out or take them on a walk. My husband and I have had our one dog(Kota, female) for 6 years now and another dog(Ash, male) for 4 years. I also have 2 outdoor barn kitties and 8 chickens. I love to homestead, grow my own veggies and read in my spare time. We have had our dog Kota(English-setter, 11 years old) since she was a puppy and my husband and I decided to adopt Ash(boxer, 6 years old) when he was only 1 year old. He was labeled free and the previous owner could not take care of him, plus he was not trained. He had never experienced grass before so when we first got him his paws would bleed and I got the opportunity to help heal him and hone in to correct his bad behavior skills. I would dedicate 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night to train him for a year before he started to trust me and we developed a wonderful relationship like we have with our Kota. I love all of our animal immensely and I believe that animals are not some inanimate object you have but a true companion in your life that deserves to be treated like family. I would love to care for your pet and I can provide some training while doing so in a positive reward environment. I do not believe in animal abuse or keeping animals without having dedication in creating a relationship. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, I look forward to working with you.
