About: I’ve had cats and dogs most of my life, and I genuinely love the quiet companionship of animals. I had my last cat for 16 years, so I’m well aware of the full life cycle, kitten to senior and how different those stages may be. Now that I’m retired, I have something a busy pet sitter often can’t offer: **unhurried time** and can swish a cat toy with the best of them. I’m happy to spend time with your cat on their terms—whether that means playtime, a little conversation, sitting nearby while they do their thing, or settling in for some serious snuggling if that’s what they’re looking for. I’m attentive to their individual personalities and routines, and I’m not in a rush to get in and out. I’m a homeowner with a flexible schedule. I don’t administer medications, but I’m happy to handle the everyday care that helps your cat feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. My daughter and I did some cat sitting for a summer when she was in high school (Einsteins Pets) and took care of multiple cats, some that were love bugs and some that I just talked to under the bed. (My cat was more like the latter when we had sitters, so I didn’t take it personally; I just tried to be reassuring, talked to her when I was clean king up, and knew she was eating well, so that was that.) I’m also hoping to eventually combine my love of animals with travel by pet sitting in interesting places abroad. So for now, I’m very happy to begin by getting to know the wonderful cat/s closer to home.

If you are confused about my schedule please reach out anyways...sometimes rover has a hard time updating. In my home, pets are welcome on the furniture and treated like members of the family. Paws are wiped off when we come back inside, and everyone has free roam of the house. When necessary we have gates to seperate upstairs and downstairs areas, so if your pet needs some private time on their own couch, it’s available to them! At your house, I treat your space with the same level of care I give your pets. I’ll make sure the mail is brought in, your plants are watered, the house stays tidy, and the locks are triple checked. Because I work with rescued animals, I’m also very intentional about maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize any anxiety while you’re away. When we’re out, I’m hyper-vigilant about leash safety and harness checks. If your dog is a flight risk or just easily spooked, I have the experience to keep them focused, happy, and secure. I know I need lots of updates when I’m on vacation, so you’ll get plenty of photos from me from each visit! No judgement if you’re a helicopter pet parent, I promise 😉

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have several years of hands-on experience caring for and training dogs. I spent 6 years training and competing in 4-H with my Yorkie, Milly, and we competed at the state level multiple times, which gave me a really strong foundation in dog handling, training, and patience. Beyond that, I have experience dog and house sitting for friends and neighbors, including walking, feeding, bathing, playing with, and caring for their pets. What also sets me apart is that I have now worked with sled dogs for the past two winters, including at Denali National Park. That experience has made me very comfortable handling high-energy dogs, sticking to routines, reading animal behavior, and providing attentive care in all kinds of conditions. I am confident working with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I genuinely love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, exercised, and well cared for. I currently work an 8-4 in near the university so if you are in town I can let pets out during the day! After and before work I love to be active taking pets on runs and walks in the morning and evenings! I care for pets with a strong focus on safety, consistency, and their individual needs. I spent a lot of time with my cousin being a breeder taking her dogs to shows, I have learned how to take care of dogs and how to approach the ones that can be a handful at times.
